What a story! The writing was a bit lacking but was made up for in the material. And the last chapter was gut-wrenching, but worth it. After finishing it I was left on one of those plateaus of thought where you are just processing and the thought of picking up another book for awhile seems wrong. Not sure how easy this book would be to find. Our copy was picked up from a library book sale (I think), and hadn't been checked out for 40 years!

Great arctic adventure story! I read it when I was a child then found this 1935 printing in a box of old books. This book reminded me to be thankful of a hot meal and warm bed!
