Ruthless Rulers is right...

Another amazing prequel to what I’m thinking will be a dark, twisty, hot, and maybe even a little bit scary ride. I feel like it’s been a minute since Stella Hart has given us a book, but it was worth the wait because HOLY COW. Just reading the little bit of Wicked Royals has me intrigued and terrified. Political corruption with a side of captive romance, heck yes!

Talk about enticing!!!!!

OMG, I can't believe how hooked I am on this upcoming new series just from this short prequel!! This is shaping up to be a very interesting story and I'm looking forward to book one of the Ruthless Rulers series.

Willow has no idea what's in store for her on her twenty first birthday, it's all thanks to her mother's ambitions and her father's mistakes. Logan is looking forward to everything he has coming to him when he gets to finally take what he wants. This is a very intriguing prequel and I'm looking forward to reading this series.

This is a quick introduction to the "Ruthless Rulers" series, specifically Wicked Royals where we meet Logan Thorne and Willow Rhoades. If you've read the teaser, then you know Willow is the President's daughter. Apparently, a secret deal was made by both of their fathers years ago. Willow has no idea. Logan knows and is counting the days until he can cash in. There is so much drama and intrigue in this storyline. Stella Hart has given these characters a personality that is easy to relate to and a chemistry that will not be denied. I can't wait for book one to come out. It will be interesting to see where this goes next.

It’s been a couple of days since i read this series and i’m not sure how to describe my feelings for this series. I didn’t know how to break my review into three parts for each book so here’s just an enormous rant of how I felt for all the three books combined.

disclaimer: the rant contains spoilers and has a lot of typos.

After I read the prequel I was pumped and excited to find out further about the story. The couple had went from being best friends in the past to hating each other in the present so that made me curious to know more about their relationship. Plus the added drama of both of their families being rivals and being powerful was just the cherry on top of the cake. So with that thought I purchased the first book and I did like it initially.

I really liked the whole concept of secret society and how the main couple are invited to it. That was definitely something different to read about and tbh it made me really happy to finally read a book which was not heavily based on the couple.

But with that being said, the first book took a long time for the story to progress I mean there were barely any scenes with the couple together and the time they ended up actually having a proper conversation together was half way through the first book.

The main guy also does a lot of cruel things to the main girl which really did not make much sense to me and I didn’t think they were justifiable. The heroine is sold to the main guy’s family and the way he behaves with her is insane. People on here call it dark but I call it psychopath. He makes her stay in the basement of his house and he has this weird bdsm vibes to it (btw his parents know how he is treating her and they are OKAY with it). He makes her obey him and threatens her of killing her little brother. He later reveals why he hates her so much and she seems to be clueless about it. (miscommunications plot)

Anyways the story progresses and the heroine is invited into the secret society and in there she reveals her deepest darkest secret that she believes her mother who was the vice president of the country may be involved in killing the president to become the president. This secret later gets revealed on television of an interview of her mother and her. I mean how insane is that? Her mother is the freakin present of the country and such accusations are being thrown at her live?!!

Anyways back to the main couple. The heroine tries to escape the hero’s house and fails and for that the hero as a punishment tells her that he will attach a collar on her neck and will make her crawl on her hands in the hallway of his house so the maids can watch. 🤢 Thankfully he doesn’t actually carry out that punishment but just the thought of that is disgusting.

Along with the insane drama going on with the main couple there is an ongoing drama in the secret society which was literally the only thing which made me want to read further. The main couple really made me want to DNF this book but the whole secret society suspense really bothered me so without much of a choice I had to purchase the series.

I skipped the whole 3rd book and went to the ending to know what happens and gosh it was so NOT worth it.

Honestly this whole series made me so mad and angry. I loathed the couple, they had no chemistry, nothing made me want to ship them. Matter of fact with the way the hero treated the girl I wished she would have abandoned him and found someone else deserving. The hero had no redeeming qualities in him and his actions weren’t justified. He was heartless (not at all in a good way) and his behavior were inhuman. The only aspect of the book that got me hooked was the secret society concept and that as well was utterly disappointing. I expected something more like the illuminati but this was just some elite group playing mind games and plotting against each other. Overall this series was just nasty.

This is a peek into the upcoming series from Stella Hart. Ruthless Rulers Trilogy.

Well get ready to be hooked and wanting the first full book in this series the second that you put this one down. This is a preview and now I am going to go nuts waiting on the book to come out. I hope the wait is not to long. I can tell this is going to be a dark and gritty series that will have me on the edge of my seat. I hope it hurries up and gets her. Until I will be waiting on bated breath for it to come.

It was slow and short. I honestly don’t even think it’s worth being considered it’s own entity as a prequel. Since its content seem required for context for the first book it should have just been included in the first installment of the series. That being said- and as of now only reading up to the second book- this trend continues. Both book 1 and 2 were a short and slow reads, and the ‘cliffhanger’ book 1 left us with was more like someone just took the book and about halfway cut it in two and called it a day. It didn’t feel like a complete book; that’s the point thought to get readers to pick of the next book and continue reading but it makes one feel cheated. That being said it is just intriguing enough that I wanted to know what the outcome was but not enough to be a considered a good read.

I’m also quite disappointed about how ‘dark’ the series is. It’s subject mater is a dark theme but the book just dose not read that dark for me. It trying but if fall short.

Good implementation of the plot
It's a very good beginning for this series which makes us enter by the undergrounds of the white house, in a secret agreement of an order also secret. It is very well written, exciting from the beginning, with a continuation that promises to be rather twisted and tense.
The challenge: To make up his debt, Stephen makes an agreement that will have an effect when his daughter Willow becomes an adult, and then becomes part of the Thorne family, an enemy of her family outside the Order.
When the story comes back to the present, Willow is 20 years old and her life is ready to change without her knowing it.

I have been patiently waiting for a new series from this amazing author. As soon as I saw this book, I grabbed it and read it cover to cover. As per usual, it’s brilliant! This is a prequel so it’s a fairly short read but a wonderful one. It sets the theme, introduces what looks like the main characters in the series and left me wanting more. I am looking forward to this series, it looks like it shall be another dark romance, something that this author writes so fantastically well. I can’t say enough great things about this book, it gave me enough to need to read more but not too much that I think I know the story. If dark romance is your thing then you have to read this author.

The sight of the gorgeous Logan Thorne is enough to make heat rush to Willow Rhoades' cheeks. Too bad
whenever they run into each other at events, Logan either shoots Willow nasty looks all night or flat-out ignores her. Willow doesn't know about the secret deal her father made with Logan's father 20 years ago, but Logan does, and he's can't wait to make her his.

Wicked Royals: A Dark Captive Romance is an intriguing, drama-filled and suspenseful story that will have you hooked. I can't wait to read Ruthless Prince, Book 1 of the Ruthless Rulers series.

An amazing dark psychological thriller

A unique, intriguing, twisted plot between three famously rich families that will keep you gripped in this prequel of The Ruthless Rulers. This dark romance which just happens to be my very favourite genre by the great author Stella Hart! Conspiracies abound in this dark romance. Well worth a read and one that I highly recommend. I just can’t wait for the rest of this series.

Stella pulls you in quickly to Logan and Willow’s dark story
The start of a quick, intense read that will have you looking for “Ruthless Prince,” the next book in the series. Willow’s father’s actions when she was born, set the stage for Logan tormenting Willow. Willow overhears her mother’s conversation, that later puts doubt into her mind over her mother’s involvement in the gripping ending of this story.

This is an intriguing start to this new series, set in the heart of D.C. A secret pack made before her life was given a chance to bloom, Willow learns more than a few secrets when attending her mother's birthday party. The dark and twisted underbelly of the royal elite of D.C. Comes alive in the passageways and bowels of the White House. Great start to this series, I can't wait to read more.

Great start to a new series. Willow doesn’t know it yet be she already belongs to Logan. Her father owes his family a lot of money and she is the payment. Lots of drama and very intriguing looking forward to more. A good read.

Mediocre

I hate reading a book when dialogue doesn't flow. The author constantly tells us who is speaking (he said-she said-) instead of leading us through in a creative way. The word "said" is used in every other sentence in some pages. It's really aggravating when using audio.

Very interesting start to a new series. We will see if it follows the political side or the dark and twisted side. Or are the two really one?

Promising for a prequel

Prequel to Ruthless Prince, this is my first book by this author. It has a good plot so far. I’m a little nervous about the maturity level but I think I just need to read more and get into the setting.
