Osobiście bardziej podobał mi się tom pierwszy, jednak nadal książkę czyta się szybko i przyjemnie.
W tej części mamy już do czynienia z dużą dawką akcji, pałacowych intryg i walki o sam szczyt, który zapewni synowi wygranej kobiety nieograniczoną władzę w państwie. Konkurentów jest wielu, przeciwnicy są bezlitośni, a harem nie wybacza błędów.
Dochodzimy tu wreszcie do obrazu znacznie bliższego serialowi, chociaż to nadal nie to. Niektóre wydarzenia również różnią się od tych, które miały miejsce w rzeczywistości, ale należy pamiętać, że nie mamy do czynienia z książką historyczną, a pozycją, która jest nią swobodnie inspirowana.

Ta część jest zdecydowanie lepsza od pierwszej. Aleksandra Anastazja Lisowska trafiła do haremu i rywalizuje z innymi pięknościami, z niemalże z całego świata, o względy najważniejszej osoby - sułtana Sulejmana. Okazuje się, że Sulejman jest zainteresowany Aleksandrą, zakochuje się w niej i ewidentnie zaczyna ją faworyzować. Dodatkowo nadaje jej nowe imię Hurrem, które będzie na językach ludzi z całego świata. Celem staje się, by jak najszybciej zajść w ciążę, urodzić syna (a potem kolejnych) i przetrzeć szlak do tronu dla swojego dziecka. Utrudnieniem staje się fakt, że sułtan ma już jednego syna z inną kobietą i to ten chłopak jest póki co następcą.
W końcu czytelnik zderza się z czymś, co jest w miarę podobne do tego co widzimy w serialu Wspaniałe Stulecie. Zaczynają się te intrygi, próby zabójstw niewygodnych osób, przepychanki słowne, przekupstwo i kombinatorstwo. Rywalizacja kobiet zaognia się coraz bardziej, a to wszystko po to, by ten konkretny syn zasiadł w przyszłości na tronie, a matka została najważniejszą kobietą, najważniejszego władcy. Książkę czyta się płynnie i dosyć szybko, a sama fabuła również trzyma w napięciu.
W końcu czytelnik zderza się z czymś, co jest w miarę podobne do tego co widzimy w serialu Wspaniałe Stulecie. Zaczynają się te intrygi, próby zabójstw niewygodnych osób, przepychanki słowne, przekupstwo i kombinatorstwo. Rywalizacja kobiet zaognia się coraz bardziej, a to wszystko po to, by ten konkretny syn zasiadł w przyszłości na tronie, a matka została najważniejszą kobietą, najważniejszego władcy. Książkę czyta się płynnie i dosyć szybko, a sama fabuła również trzyma w napięciu.

I know this book is originally in Turkish and it's a translation, but there are so many errors in this book! So many! It's like someone just copied a kindle version into google translate and hoped for the best. I had to knock off an entire star for that sheer fact. Because sometimes it was hard to keep up with. POVs would change without any kind of transition, quotation marks would appear and disappear constantly, and at one point dashes were used as quote indicators. Frustrating, but I was enjoying the book so much I pushed through.
It would probably get five stars if it didn't have that many grammatical and style issues. It's a continuation of the first book, essentially takes off right from the ending of the first one. Highly enjoyable.
My only issue it the booked seemed to drag on some non important parts and quickly gloss over things that should take entire chapters. Especially the ending, it's like the author got tired of writing and decided just to stop.

Tom 2 lepszy niż tom 1.
Mniej więcej od połowy akcja nabiera tempa, przez co lepiej czyta się książkę.
Jednak należy pamiętać, tak jak zaznacza autorka, że nie jest to powieść historyczna, więc mogą występować rozbieżności z rzeczywistym biegiem wydarzeń.
