This ebook contains a selection of photographs from my series Alaska America's Last Frontier. Book 1 presents this collection in black and white format. A future release (Book 2) will contain a selection of color photographs.
Alaska is a majestic land that is best experienced in a quiet, immersive state, without words or commentary. Accordingly, this book only contains visual impressions of scenes that continually change with the time of day, angle of light, and the vagaries of the weather. The landscapes you will see were shot from land, sea and air and cover varied locations including the Tongass National Forest, Misty Fjords National Monument, the Inside Passage, Glacier Bay National Park, and along the shorelines of Sitka National Historical Park. These amazing vistas are accessible to the modern day cruise visitor through the ports-of-call at Juneau, Sitka, Skagway, and Ketchikan. Once seen, never forgotten.
