Now, he'll seek redemption as well as a chance to save the exodus fleet from all of their mistakes. More than ever, the people of Wallach and Xad have become his people. There is a new home for them.
Non-stop action and chills abound in this astounding premise. This book has a thrilling plot, complete with formidable characters. It starts with a bang and continues to build to an explosive finish... All the elements in the story mesh well together to form an extraordinary novel that will enthrall those who enjoy books set in a turbulent world with a touch of violence and incredible twists. A fantastic read, indeed, as always with Moon and Chaney! Looking forward to reading Hunt of The Reaper #9. Did I mention that I highly recommend this series? Well, I most certainly do!
On killing the Alon champion, Cain is told to visit Yanden to find a secret weapon to defeat the Sansein. When they arrive they find a planet with downtrodden people and a resistance group run by a mother and daughter team. They also find weird experiments to run faster than light travel have created abominations called the Neverseen due to their version of stealth technology. The Never seen are harder to kill than the Slayers! Intrigue and action ensue as they try and discover what has gone on here and determine what needs to be done to help everyone....
Good series, wish there was more sci-fi upgrades in the reapers tech.
I like the series. I also like this book, it is coming close to the end of the series 2 more books left. The only thing I wish the series had done is give the reaper a better tech. The character development as well done the interaction between the characters is written well. The characters are not quite three dimensional but you like them anyway. It is a good read not quite a five but a good read just the same.
...this book wasn't that bad. This story focused more on a couple key characters, and their reaction to their situation, primarily Cain, and Tatiana. Alise, Bug, and Briggs were around, but they were mainly there to serve the overall plot of the book. A bit of time was taken to analyze Cain's behavior to a strange planet, his first flirt/love interest, unseen enemies, and chittering monkeys. There was the typical hack and slash as I grew accustomed to in this book, but it wasn't the main story plot. When time is given to allow characters to breath, and "be themselves", the Reaper books can be enjoyable.
Hal, Elise, Tom & now Hannah take the Jellybird out ahead of the ragtag fleet. They find a place where their tech is unreliable while they are faced with difficult enemies plus they encounter the aliens that are the DNA source that turned Briggs into a Slayer. They befriend a group of people who are fighting for survival against both a human military force as well as the Neverseen, a group of various hybrids that are violent and difficult to even see when they attack.
Still love this storyline and the characters. I’m enjoying how Briggs is developing along with the added burdens that keep falling in the Reaper’s shoulders. In my opinion this book was not as action packed as past books. Don’t let that deter you. It was still a great story and read. Waiting for the next adventure. Fortunately author Chaney has other fantastic series that tie together the the same timeline and universe.
A great read, well worth getting into the series...
Not many authors could craft a series this intricate and this long, and manage to keep each new release fresh. The story still reads well, the main characters are well formed and have become friends over time. Yet another great addition to the series.
It seems to Reaper and his group that this planet has an over abundance of resources and some really uptight people. But they also have technology that is causing unusual problems, not only for the populace but for ships and planes.
Nothing like a bad ass good guy to get things done. Fear The Reaper!
“All our times have come Here but now they're gone Seasons don't fear the reaper Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain, we can be like they are” Come on baby, don’t fear the reaper”.
Cain the Reaper and some of his trusted crew members must land on a quarantined and mysterious planet. There, they meet opposition and help from a women Cain is immediately attracted to and bonds with. Powerful enemies stand in his way. Extremely fast paced action thriller! Enjoyed immensely!!
The series is Very good. The chapters flow Quickly. How many technical things are raised
The chapters flow in affair order, in the characters from multiple and have many different sides to the personalities. Shows people Eating and not understanding each other and having to work together. Many things are discussed.
There may not be a lot of personal growth for the main character, but the story progresses tremendously from book to book. Fresh stories are interwoven with the existing plot, advancing the overall story without forcing it to feel like a nonstop trope. Interesting plot line developments and supporting character development happen with every book.
This episode of The Reaper’s travels is slow and patchy. We never really get to know the new characters and the teasing by Elise and Hannah about Tatiana has very little substance. The whole story seemed rushed with no conclusion.
Good book, but do not start after 9pm though or you may end up reading and finishing it around midnight vs sleeping. Sleep is good, this book was better. 😃
Well it just keeps getting better. Another all action storyline with plenty of banter as usual with Halick Cain lol. Looking forward to the Hunt of the Reaper
