We met Carter in the last book and we knew off the bat he didnt wanna mate he liked his life how it was free. But he lost a card game and was sent to the local school to show the kids about fire and what to do.

His bear starts going crazy when he smells the scent inside this kindergarten classroom and walks in his mate.. Aubrey and he is fighting tooth and claw to stay away and not give in but his bear has other plans sneaking over to her house. As for Aubrey well her life at the moment is in the shitter.. her car is broken down, her hair had hot glue in it she had to chomp some off, other teachers are bullies and she is getting evicted out her home due to her only friend buddy the dog.

Once Carter finally stops holding back he ask her out and its 0 to 1000!! Carter goes hard and cant keep his bear in check lol

Cant wait to see the rest of the guys get their girls.

I couldn't resist Drawn to The Alpha! Nothing melted my heart more than seeing a strong, adamant alpha male shifter who wasn't interested in having a mate, fall head over heels in love with her the moment he scents and sees her. This sexy read is fast paced, hot as hell read with a fantastic plot that made me eager for more and a heat level that was CRAZY IRRESISTIBLE!

I do enjoy a good shifter romance but this book isn't just good...its AMAZING and OH SO PERFECT! I loved that Carter is a firefighter and his mate is a kindergarten teacher who is more or less a damsel in distress. There is lots of moments that Carter's possessive, protective nature gets my heart to racing fast and the butterflies to take flight in my tummy. Utterly sweet!

A sexy firefighter shifter? Yes, please!

This book was sweet and sexy and oh so hawt.
Cater is adamant about not having a mate and preaching about the craziness of being bond to someone.
But when he finds Aubrey, he realizes how wrong he was and how wonderful it is to have someone to love and be loved.

It was a funnier book the the others but not less sexy.

Carter and Aubrey

Aubrey is at a low, her car constantly breaks down, she's on the verge of being evicted and fired. Carter never wants a mate he's to happy being single and grouchy.

The other firemen make him go do a presentation at the school for the kindergarten class. He starts sweating, his bare is going nuts and then he smells his mate.

He turns mushy lol.

This was a little bit better than book one. I liked that we didn't have the unnecessary extra conflict. However, the author is still over describing her sex scenes. Doing that doesn't make it sexier, just a bit cringe. Well, on to the next one since I already own the whole series...

Can I tell you how much I love watching a commitment phobe grizzly shifter have his entire world upended when he comes face to face with his mate? The second book in the series gives us Carter and Aubrey's story. Carter is a grizzly shifter firefighter who is adamantly opposed to the entire concept of fated mates. He has no use for one...right up until he catches scent of Aubrey when he goes to her classroom to do a presentation. His up til now hibernating bear comes roaring back to life and starts making demands.

Aubrey herself is down on her luck (like REALLY down on her luck) and falls into the "she's a hot mess with a heart of gold" heroine category. I don't mind sweet heroines, but I kinda heave an internal sigh at the hot mess part. I want more heroines who have got it together and don't need the hero to swoop in a fix everything in their lives. The heroine is what drops this down by 1/2 a star. Other than that, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next installment.

Steamy instalove story with plenty of heart.

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable even with being over the top. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. The most interesting thing about this story was that it talked a little bit about bullying among adults. Aubrey ended up addressing the issue in a really great way. Carter cracked me up with his reaction to meeting Aubrey. All of his talk about mates was completely out the window. Carter stepping up to care for Aubrey and Buddy made me smile. I loved their happy ever after (steamy!) and I recommend reading this book.

Carter has no intention of finding his mate, he is happily single and doesn't need a woman to tie him down. When he is ordered to do a presentation at the elementary school he meets Olivia who he knows immediately is his mate. Now the man who didn't want a mate can't wait to convince his mate to take a chance on him.

This was fun, I thought that Carter was hilarious when he initially stumbles with Olivia. Entertaining story and fun quickie.

Carter is admittedly against having a mate, constantly chastising Ethan about Chloe.
His bear has been hibernating for two decades so he believes mates are a farce.
When he loses the card game that sends him to the elementary school to talk to the kindergarten class about fire safety he bear wakes up and takes notice as soon as he enters the school. But he is fighting the truth tooth and claw. Making excuses about why he can't breathe or think straight why his blood is on fire why his skin prickles.
Aubrey is the kindergarten teacher but she is not the one in the room, the principal is there while they wait for Aubrey to show up, mean while Carter is having a hard time keeping his bear in check. But when the scent gets stronger then a vision of beauty and curves ealks in apologizing for being late Carters beat goes ballistic .
With his stumbling speech over and some mumbling he runs away in a panic but not before crashing into a cabinet and breaking the world globe.
Aubrey has to deal with so much, bullying from to other female teachers, a broke down car she can't pay to get fixed, she is being evicted because her dog buddy cant help himself and barks alot to top it all off she now has a crush on Carter and doesn't believe he would ever want her. Boy us she wrong.
That first night in her apartment Buddy goes nuts, he senses Carters bear out side the apartment. The next morning Carter stumbles into the fire station in a flag he stole because his bear to him across the county then left him to walk back naked. So after a talk with his captain Blake he accepts that Aubrey is his mate and sets out to win her over.
But their first date is well unique. You gotta read the story to find out about their mating ritual. What happens when Aubrey lestns her boyfriend is a grizzle bear. What about Buddy? The two bullies at school? We get a good look into their future.
Even though Ethan and Chloe's story ended years into their future, this story pucks up just as Chloe is pregnant with their first cub . But ends twelve years into the future. I kinda get carried away with info but i forgot the intense sexual heat and the smoldering looks and the details of tastes and smells

Olivia did not disappoint, I LOVED it!
This particular installment is a pretty low stakes book, but I really liked the ending. Particularly the last chapter-

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Alphas in Heat series. In this book, Carter is a grizzly shifter who works as a firemen with other shifters. Carter is the only shifter who is not looking for his mate, he doesn't want a mate, he thinks it will be the end of his freedom and happiness if he finds his mate. When Carter has to go to the local school to talk to the kids, his grizzly starts to act weird and when he meets the kindergarten teacher Aubrey, he knows she is his mate and his grizzly wants to claim her. Aubrey is a substitute teacher and she is just starting her career. Aubrey is only 21 and had never dated or even been kissed. When Carter comes back to the school, he asks Aubrey out and when she agrees, she asks him to pick her up after work, when he takes her back to her apartment, she has been evicted and Carter thinks it is perfect because now she can come to his house to live. I liked this book, i laughed at Carter and his grizzly, he was so against his mate, until he met her. I thought he was funny with the kids also. This is a great series so far and i look forward to reading more.

This smutty novella features a OTT, possessive, growly bear shifter with a sweet, innocent fated mate. Aubrey is a substitute K teacher and Carter is the firefighter who has sworn off having a mate. When he visits her classroom he immediately recognizes his mate and is completely obsessed by following her home and meeting her at work. He's her knight in shining armor on their first date and when her life takes a turn he is there to pick her up and move her in to his home. This one has a lot of parallels with the first book from things said to points in the epilogue, but I don't feel it detracted from Carter and Aubrey's story. If you're looking for PNR smut that has that super growly possessive hero this is it! I really enjoyed this one since I love a good fated mates withe the OTT hero.

Brilliant read

What another brilliant read Aubrey a kindergarten teacher is late for class her car had broken down but even if it can be fixed she can’t afford it she already gets second hand clothes and kicked out of her apartment as she has buddy her dog. Carter always said he never wants a mate is happy with his life that is until he has to go to the school and talk to kindergarten kids he smells something sweet and his bear awakens when he has been quiet for over a decade. When Aubrey comes into class all makes sense she is his mate. With all these bear shifters they are obsessed with their mates and makes it worse when Aubrey doesn’t know she is his mate at first. Fate has it that whilst going on a date with Carter she finds all her belongings on the kerb including her dog Carter takes control she is moved in with him and never looks back. Aubrey can’t believe her luck with Carter she doesn’t understand mates but a after seeing Carters grizzly bear it all makes sense and is happy to become his forever.

Aubrey & Carter

This is the 2nd book in the Alphas on Heat Series.

Aubrey is an elementary school teacher, who has never had a date. Carter, a grizzly bear shifter, is a firefighter who does not have a desire for a mate.

When he is asked to go to the elementary school to teach the kids about being a firefighter, he and his bear are struck hard when he realizes that Aubrey is his mate. This changes everything on his outlook of having a mate.

He asks Aubrey out and due to unforseen circumstances, Aubrey is now living with Carter. Carter explains that he is a bear shifter and she is his mate. Will he be able to claim her or will his impatient bear ruin their chances for an hea?

I loved both these characters and it's nice to see his fellow firefighters from book 1. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend this series be added to your library. This is a definite must read!

I enjoyed this book, as well as all the other books from the series. The only reason I didn't give this book or any in the series 5 starts is because the main female characters weren't my favorite. There wasn't anything wrong with them specifically, they were smart and funny. However, with the exception of the last two books, all the female leads were kind of messes. It's not that they were bad they just were young, had menial jobs, or there lives were a struggle or an combination of those, until the men came along. Don't get me wrong I love a good alpha man who wants to take care of a protect his 'mate' but I would have LOVED not just liked this series if the women were more self reliant and weren't in an automatic state of needing saving. If those alphas had to work a little hard to get their women I would have loved that. Not sure why the women in these books need to be so helpless.

One think that bothered me was the description of the hymen. Her “cherry.” In all the previous books, it’s the same during the initial sex.

For a dick that’s scribed as huge and outright out of a pornography, “thrusting” such a nuclear weapon into a virgin hole would no doubt tear the vaginal opening. It made me shudder every time I read up to that part. Lol

CARTER and AUBREY

Carter is the one bear shifter who does not want a mate at all, not to mention is bear has been hibernating since a long time and does not really urge him or disturb him.

He shudders at the thought of being trapped in domestic hell.

But all it takes is a loosing poker hand due to which he has to go into the elementary school to talk to the kids there, and meet they lovely teacher, Aubrey, his mate.
His bear is now driving him crazy and its cute how he is so awkward and gob smacked by her, especially since he is twice her age

Aubrey is a temp whose been having the worst time in her life. Her cars broken down, she getting evicted and she’s getting bullied at school by the other teachers.

But all that is going to change when Carter claims her and he will!

There is no drama in this story, not even of the dragons that were there in the previous book of the series. I assume that will continue to happen in subsequent books.

He can’t resist his mate.. or can he !?

I was excited when I saw that OTT was releasing another shifter book and that it was connected to her latest shifter release. I am curious if all the fireman will be getting their own books? Yes , please!
I loved this book and the storyline , the MMC - Carter has been set against finding his mate. So what will happen when he stumbles upon her ? Definitely a new take on this very popular as of late genre. I found it to be refreshing and entertaining!
Of course it wouldn’t be an OTT book if we didn’t have a possessive alpha male and some very hot smexy times. Everything you expect from her and more! I definitely recommend reading this book!

Drawn to the Alpha is book two in the ‘’Alpha’s in heat’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable.
Bear shifter, Carter doesn’t believe in mate’s. He has no interest in finding his. When he meets Aubrey that soon changes. Aubrey is a down on her look, Kindergarten teacher. She is instantly attracted to Carter.
The chemistry between Carter and Aubrey is clear to see and I loved them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series
