Nothing in life has ever come easily for him, and rescuing his woman is no exception.
Jared “Blade” Walker’s life hasn’t been his own for a long time. Sold by his father when he was just sixteen to the head of the mob, he did what he had to in order to survive and became one of their most lethal enforcers. But now, thanks to his ties with the Charon MC, he has a chance to get some vengeance. But nothing in this life comes for free. Veronica Jones has been hiding in plain sight in Bridgewater, Texas for seven years when Blade comes into the ER during her shift and throws all her careful planning out the window. Making her want things she’d never thought she had. When both Blade and Veronica’s pasts catch up to them, will they end up having to pay the ultimate price for daring to give love a chance?
If you’ve read the Blade novella in the Dirty Dozen MC edition anthology, you’ve read up to Chapter 6 of Forging Blade.
This one definitely had some tough topics covered in it. My heart broke when I heard Veronica's past, was glad that things were wrapped up there. Blade's past was almost as bad and I was glad that things were wrapped up there too. But the best thing was how both Veronica and Blade found a home with the Charons, a place that valued them both.
Do much going on. Everyone has secrets and several come to play in this one. Not a boring minute. I want to put a warning out there that there's memories of incest. Not a whole lot of discretion but it's there.
Blade we have met before in another book. He was an enforcer for the mob and gave Mac information about the mob in California. He is now a prospect for the club.
Veronica is a nurse at the local hospital and that is how she meets Blade. The girl has been through hell but she isn't a quitter. Just has a lot of secrets.
Forging Blade is gritty, raw and at times dark. Blade and Veronica’s story is one that will take you into the dark as these two fight for the light. It will have you on the edge of your seat, have your pulse racing and have you hoping that these two can finally leave the shadows of their past behind. They had danced with the devil and both had the scars to prove it but it will be the connection between their souls that might just save them. A gut wrenching, action packed story that will break your heart and mend it all with the support of the Charon MC.
OH MY GOSH! I could NOT put it down! This had me from the very first chapter! Blade is one of those alpha men you know you need in your corner from the beginning! This story was electrifying and so much better when you get the mob aspect and then you get the MC aspect. Great writing by Khloe Wren. She has really come along since the first book of this series!

🚨 Anyone wanting to read this book specifically needs to be very heavily aware of the hefty trigger warning list this book comes with - I’m not joking, look them up 🚨
Both main characters are 30+, which is a breathe of fresh air. Though the ages don’t take away the fast paced insta-love situation these two steamroll themselves into. Blade and Veronica both are head over heels when they meet in the hospital to treat his burns. Feeling the sizzling attraction when they meet again outside the bathroom of a bar/club. By the first date they’re already bickering. Which led me to believe that these two weren’t really fit for one another. It turned around, but by the end of it all their relationship had been blasting for two months? So when I say this story progresses quickly it goes QUICK.
Veronica Survived a lot of abuse in her lifetime. One that can be read as extremely traumatic. Strong-willed and determined woman that swore to never return into the claws of her uncle who has tormented her since she was little. Now having settled in Bridgewater as a nurse, but always has remained skittish…too much annoyance of Blade.
Jared aka Blade Formed through the years he had been ‘trained’ like a puppet by Antonio Sabella. A ruthless mob boss who’s made Blade’s life a living hell. It’s here that we slowly see some of Blade’s character, having his opinions of what’s right and wrong. He’s protective, possessive and a big softy for the one person he’s interested in. Just like Veronica Blade is also filled with trauma from his past.
Veronica’s uncle is a vile man, the way things ended with him were definitely satisfactory. It was nice to read that her belongings were eventually returned to her as she seemed very upset over it, though I wanted to slap Blade when he said “we can get another piece made” (will not name said piece, because that would ruin it). It almost felt like Veronica wasn’t allowed to be upset of this specific family heirloom to be missing, multiple items that once belonged to her now dead mother. It is all in the sentimental value that came with it not in the worth of things.
It’s the trauma of both characters where I missed more depth and slowing the pacing a little. Allowing them to ground and actually care for one another by taking things slow and communicating with one another by checking in to see how they feel. It happens, but not consistently or enough for there to be full trust. It was almost bordering a glorification of the vile act(s). However I don’t think the author intended for that to happen, because it does eventually shift into something more positive and time of healing together as a couple. But it was very close to that line.
Personal preferences: - I wished these two characters took their time during their first spicy time together. As someone who’s familiar with the extensive trauma suffered I was almost shot in full frantic panic mode on behalf of the FMC. It felt like her trauma was washed over somewhat whereas she wasn’t allowed time enough to see how she felt about their intimate connection together as he waltzed all over her and just took what he deemed his right. - Sometimes it read like we were stuck in the thought process of the author rather than the FMC. For example: “I’d spent a lot of time with Donna this week, chatting about everything.” Everything is such a large content word, I would’ve loved to have been told what it was specifically. Did they talk about what has happened in the last week? Did they talk about their nails? Or their relationship? There’s a constant state of reaching for depth, but then staying on a superficial level when it comes to new potential friendship, missing the depth of connection. - Chapters felt too long due to multiple character POV switches within 1 singular chapter. - The switching of multiple POV’s within a chapter, it definitely would’ve been better to start a new chapter whenever the POV changes. - Words like ‘seed’ and ‘center’ whacked me out of the story. - There were too many side characters. A biker named Taz is mentioned once. Along with one another who was mentioned 2/3 times (can’t find it back in my notes and I forgot the name). Both names could’ve been replaced with either a Keys, Mac, Eagle or even Scout to prevent confusion or questioning if they’d be of relevance later on in the book. - Elita was a horrible person and her two POV’s felt like the reader had to sympathize for her. Uhm no, that bridge had already been burned. There was no significance to her POV’s and could’ve been easily told from the perspective of either Blade or Veronica. This way Veronica’s uncle could’ve gotten his own POV too, but that didn’t happen.
The feeling of finally belonging, making a home somewhere and settling down was something both Blade and Veronica deserved. It took Blade a while to believe Mac when he said that within the club they’re all family, no matter what. I like how Blade accepted that warmth in the end, having found his true home with Veronica and his final position within the club.
This series is amazing and Forging Blade did not disappoint. The way this author has a way of pulling the reader into the pages makes you feel as if you are there. The character development that she is able to achieve is simply nothing short of amazing. The story line never boring. You are kept on the edge of your seat and unable to turn the pages quick enough to find out what is happening next. Blade did not have an easy life nor did he have the perfect family life. Throw in a female whose life has been just as devastating as his you get nothing short of major intense sexual chemistry. This book is full of twist and turns keeping you guessing at what could happen next. If you like action packed, murder, motorcycles and hot sexy alpha males this is a must read. This book is so full of emotions that at times it is gut wrenching that is will pull on every emotion you have and some you never knew you had. Bring on the tears and tissues. THIS IS A MUST READ!!!!! Don't let this book get past you. You will not be disappointed. As I stated before this whole series is amazing and Khloe Wren never disappoints in any of them. Can not wait to see where she will be taking us next. So readers get comfortable, get something to drink, a box of tissues (just in case) turn to that first page and get ready to be transported to an amazing world set forth to you by this amazing author Khloe Wren.
I love this series and I love this author. I was so excited to read about Blade and his past. This book did not disappoint me at all. Blaze's past is a sad one where his father put him in an impossible situation and because of the love he has for his mother and brother he was stuck. After the Charon MC set him free he was ready to start a new life with them. Then, of course, his past comes knocking and has threatened the people he loves again. Veronica also has a nightmare past that makes her scared and looks over her shoulder everywhere always fearing her past to catch up to her. As a nurse, she meets Blade when he's badly burned. Soon two broken people meet and started seeing a future with each other. Their past intertwines and forces them into a bad situation where life and death is thrust upon them. This is a sweet love story yet with painful pasts that both Blade and Veronica both have to face to make a future for themselves.

Jared "Blade" Walker is a good person betrayed by his father as he was sold to the mob at 16-years-old. He had a very hard life. A friend in the Charon MC gave him a chance to break out of that life and start over. But again, his bad fortune would step in to put people he loved in danger and force him into a difficult set of choices.
Veronica, a nurse, meets Blade in the ER as he has serious injuries. She has been running from her own past, but they are drawn together as both have had difficult lives and Blade wants only to protect her and make her his. But Veronica gets tangled up in danger when someone tries to get vengeance on Blade. The reader’s emotions will definitely flare as the good guys come to the rescue! But be prepared for all of the things these two have had to endure, and be amazed that they can still find it in their hearts to fall in love.
This book took my breath away. I could not for the life of me put it down, As it only took 1 1/2 days to read. Jared "Blade" Walker is on a man hunt not only to kill his former boss but also to stop the human trafficking that had ruled his life since the young age of 16. There are many reasons why this book was so good 1. The action and adventure 2. The romance 3. The brotherhood of the MC clubs and oh so many more reasons. I wish I had heard of this book series before I read this book, that way I could have started at book #1. But now that I know, I will start the series even to the point of reading this book again. If you get the chance, read this set of books, you will find them amazing to read!!
Great book for romance and suspense. Blade and Veronica have both had horrific childhoods and have tried to move on when their past catches up with them. Blade was sold by his father to the mafia as a teenager, where he was raised to be an enforcer and required to do whatever necessary. He has fought and killed his way clear to become part of the Charon MC. Veronica has taken on a new identity to hide from her molester uncle. Their relationship was perfect with them helping each other to heal. When Veronica is taken, Blade and the rest of the MC have to figure out if it was because of her past or his. This was a page turner that will definitely keep your interest from the first page to the last.

This is a raw gritty story that will draw you in and keep you engaged to the bitter end A story of two damaged people who find a place of redemption with one another
Blade hasn't had an easy life his father sold him to the mob at the age of sixteen and to keep his mother and brother safe he had no choice but to become one of their most lethal hit men. The Charon MC gave him is freedom and he is starting to build a new future with them He meets Veronica a nurse when he is badly burned and attends the hospital she has her own dark past and has managed to hide in the hospital for the last few years The attraction between them is instant but when both their past collide with their future can they survive and get a HEA with one another
Blade has been through hell especially after his girl that he thought of as a sis died in his arms the night they found her and missing abused kids and women. He was finally able 2 get his life back and until he met the woman of his dreams and future. It's sad that innocent nurse died. But at the end I feel like they left sum things out about what will happen 2 the dr. All I really know is he's there at the hosp she works at 2 get better but not much more. I hope he gets a book and helps the club like Donna does. It's bad enough when 1 person has the past come back 2 hunt them down, but this is crazy that this x it's both their pasts haunting them.
Wow, this book has so much going on, it took you for one wild exciting ride and didn't stop until the last chapter. This book has it all, action, intrigue, lots of twists and turns, plenty of romance, kidnapping, murder, motorcycle , facing to the rescue, a pedophile for an uncle, a sadistic mafia daughter, a strong independent woman, plenty of hot alpha bikers, add in intense sexual chemistry and you have one fantastic story. I've loved all of the books in the series, can't wait to read more from this author.
Well Blade goes from Mobster to Biker in this story and what a story it is. He and Veronica meet at the hospital where she's a nurse. They can't seem to get each other off of their minds. Luckily for them they meet again and this time they take advantage of the meeting. Blade had a seriously tragic start as did Veronica and they found such a beautiful love together. This journey is most assuredly worth taking and this read was most assuredly a great read.

After a run in with a trafficker, Blade was taken into an MC by a friend. Whether he wants to join the club is something else. Veronica is just trying to make her way in the world. She's a nurse, but she has a past that is terrifying and dangerous. When Blade sees Veronica, that is it for him. He wants her and he wants to destroy whoever damaged her so badly. This is a really sexy, hot read with danger and triggers for some.

Well this book started out different than I thought. Got it because I thought it was mostly biker, but in the beginning Blade was part of a mafia type of business, although his father handed him over when he was 13 or 14 years old. Things were really bad for him growing up with that bunch. Especially when a young girl he was trying to help and he had his boys kill the girl. Needless to say Blade when kind of nuts from there. Probably won't read any more of these books, not something I like to read. HEA.
Veronica is on the run from her past. She hasn't gotten too close to anyone until Blade comes into her life. He slow gets her to accept him and wants nothing more than to protect her from what she is running from. Before he can help her, his past comes back for him and Veronica gets tangled up in someone's revenge against him. It takes the combination of two MCs to bring her back safely to him.
I have only read a few books in this series but seriously considering going back to read the others!
We met Blade wen he helped rescue Zara back from the mob. He'd know Mac for over 20years wen they'd needed help so was happy to take out the man that bought his freedom wen he was 16.
Now in Bridgewater with the Charon MC he visits the local hospital to get his burns dressed that were he meets his "one" Veronica.
But typical nothings ever plain sailing with a MC brother and the pair get put through #ell before they come out the other side together, stronger
WOW! I've been on pins and needles waiting for this book to come out. Khloe Wren did not disappoint with her delivery. Blade is one delectably delicious, dangerous, cut-throat bad ass guy! Veronica is no wallflower. That girl has an inner strength that can rival most men's strength. She will not be broken. Forging Blade really is one helluva ride! From beginning to end, you will not want to stop reading.
Wow! From start to finish this read keeps you engaged. Khloe pulls you into the Charon world and just doesn't let go with this latest installment. The realm of emotions that you experience with Blade and Veronica at your side as you follow their journey together will have your head spinning. I always get lost when reading one of Khloe's stories, and this was no exception. As always Khloe well done you!
I could not put this book down. What a page turner! I was immediately engulfed into the story. Veronica and Blade come from two different world's but they both suffered a lot in their lives. The storyline and plot in this book is phenomenal. It's not rushed and slowly moved to the peak and then boom! All he'll breaks loose and Blades inner beast comes out and oh my its so sexy. This book is gripping and full of suspense. I totally recommend this book!
I have quite enjoyed this series, however I think the author needs to find a different plot as yet another woman gets kidnapped. I like that the author doesn't always give you the smooth HEA and that there are some heart stopping moments along the way but I think the series could do with a slightly different plot line if it is to continue. Overall, apart from the point I have mentioned I found the book kept my interest and as a fan of MC books it delivered.
This is book 11 in the Charon MC series. I have not read any other books in this series and I believe this can be read completely as a stand alone.
Reader be warned: This book has a lot of dark topics covered. Rape, molestation, torture of women, murder, among other things.
Blade and Veronica’s story is intense. I like how well they are together, and how they grow out of their horrible situations. An HEA was definitely well deserved.
This was a new read for me and wow, so much was happens. I was hooked from the first chapter. This book has everything from action to romance, with so many twists and turns that it will Keep you on the edge of your seat. We have hot bikers, and strong women. When Blade meets Veronica he knows that he has to save and protect her, and in doing so it also helps him to deal with his past and pain. This book is so well written and keeps you hooked until the end.
I absolutely love this book. I'm not one to leave spoilers about the book beside that she really knows how to write. This story like all her others have such a back story to each of the characters. I'm so excited for when this book came out. She has done it yet again. Made me fall in love with yet another character. Forging Blade is a must read!!! Along with the whole series.
Another great instalment of the Charon MC. This book starts of basically with a short recap of the last book where we met Blade. During a hospital visit he meets Veronica and he realises she needs protecting. Finally getting her to open up helps him deal with his own pain. Troubled history has a way of resurfacing so can they save eachother.
There is so much happening in this book. You go from one thing to another. It's fast paced and the story jumps off the pages. There plenty of action, intrigue, twists and turns, kidnapping, murder, alpha biker and romance. I'm going to go and read some more of this series. Great author. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Geez when I tell you they have been through rough patches, this is more than a person can take. I would have tortured the hell out of Veronica's uncle and them some. I wish Blade could have showed him where he got his nickname from. If only Elita had left them alone, then she would not have been left vulnerable to her father's enemies.
Love that Blade got his story told! Veronica was a little badass with all her cameras and her paranoia. It was interesting to see how two people with issues and baggage can find their way back to each other. When Blade let’s put the beast it was very scary but he was truly mobster turned biker badass. Liked this addition to the series. Can’t wait for more.
