Been there, done that, has the scars to remind himself not to go there again. He has no trouble following this rule until Raven piques his interest.
Raven is the lead photographer and graphic designer for the Milwaukee Manes, a professional hockey team. Her job makes for long days spent looking at hot, muscular men. Too bad muscles have never really been her thing. As an artist, she prefers men who have gentle souls and share her love for individuality, not men who believe only in coloring inside of the lines all day every day.
Jax and Raven each have pasts that impact their every decision in life, but for the first time in years, Jax wants something more for himself. It knocks him back when he falls hard and fast for an artistic, universe-believing woman. All he needs to do is leave the past in the past once and for all to have the future he wants for himself. Easier said than done when that future includes a woman battling for her own kind of future.
Although this book can be read as a stand-alone novel, I recommend reading the books of the "Milwaukee Manes" series in order so that you can fall in love with the characters from the very beginning.

Two opposites in every way ,she is the first woman to peak.His interest in many years .He was betrayed by his childhood sweetheart and he thought those emotions.were dead not dormant. He was not looking to be hurt again. Kay Stewart continues to weave a hockey series of family and friends you would like to know.She delivers hot love scenes ,and hotter heroes They fall for warrior women and mothers .I'm waiting for Casey and Ambers story.

What can be said about Jax and Raven? Jax is the hard ass lawyer who will never fall in love and Raven is the kind soul who puts everyone's needs above her own. The way they help one another balance out and learn that trusting others doesn't always lead to disaster lends to a great story. Love that they gave a non hockey player a happy ending.
