A collection of poems exploring Greek mythology and diving into the heart of one of the most famous pantheons in history. From Persephone's marriage to Medusa's tragic demise, Greek mythology gets rewritten.
A fantastic collection of poems about Greek gods and goddesses
What a great way to learn about Greek myths. I didn't know of a few of these, like Arachne, and I found this collection enjoyable not just because the author is a fine free-verse poet, but because it's educational too.
I particularly enjoyed the poems "Prayer of an Adventurer," "The Friend, The Giant, The Father," and "The Song of a Sailor's Wife." The author did a great job at portraying such strong emotions, and the structure of the poems makes them quick and easy to read.
4/5 stars only because I think the poetry could be improved and a few of the poems fell flat for me. As this the author's debut work, I'm sure she will only improve with future publications, and I can't wait to read more from her!
