Lady Nola is a woman of good-standing, but one tragic mistake is set to change her life forever. Rather than wed a stranger to hide her transgressions, Nola wanders the streets in search of a Christmas miracle.
Sir Guy returns to his childhood home of Beauwater Castle, a place he is soon to inherit. He makes a promise to his dying brother that he will settle down and find a wife, but his family name has been dishonoured. Can he find someone who will love him despite his poor reputation?
I really enjoyed this short story. It has honour and integrity in unexpected circumstances. I like strong and determined characters that will ' do what is right' even when it costs them.
Lady Nola's story was wonderful to read around Christmas time. I read this book in one evening and enjoyed every minute. Themes of forgiveness and redemption ran deep throughout and taught some valuable lessons. Now I really hope the author writes more about Lady Nola so I can find out what happens next! If you love medieval romance with faith based themes you'll love this beautiful and heartwarming Christmas story.
Tales of old with noble (and not so honorable) knights and ladies of grace and beauty. Set at Christmas-time this story explores the journey of young Nola as she faces the consequences of believing the pretty lies of a nobleman who turns out to be a skunk. When the solution is not as noble as she would prefer and out of a desperate desire to save her family from scandal, Ms. James takes Lady Nola on a journey fraught with danger, wonder and a chance for love if she’s brave enough to accept it.
A medieval Christmas is a truly heartwarming delightful romance, that not only encapsulates the festive Christmas feel but also drew me into the characters lives in medieval times. A perfect mix of romance and emotion that had me gripped from the start. I really enjoyed this story and a definite read that I would recommend, especially to get you in the mood for Christmas.
