Much cute, lots of knowledge, cats so many cats. I loved reading this one! It is fun, it is cute, and you learn something as well (though not much was new to me). The cats are highly adorable and I love that there were alien cats as well! The reaction meter was just sooooo cute! I also like how the book looked, fun fonts, fun images (next to cats). It made you want to read it even more!
Also yes, I read this in Dutch.... but I automatically wrote an English review. Haha. :P

I adore this book. My only regret is that I bought the paperback Bc this thing is destined to become a treasured family heirloom, and I’m worried the paperback won’t survive the sort of repeated readings my family is bound to give it.

I found this book in a School Library Journal magazine. It’s rated for elementary school kids, and I liked it so much I purchased a second (hardback) copy of it to give to my niece for her 7th birthday.

After finishing this book, I felt it like going through a journey of revisiting an elementary-level science course. The book content reminds me of the science knowledge that I learnt when I was a secondary school student. The writer breaks down complicated information using straightforward language. It is good for science-learning beginners. The adoption of attractive graphics also makes the reading experience interesting. Unlike ordinary books stuffed with text, the contents of this book are clustered with graphics. When reading the book, readers do not read it line by line, but jumping from one corner to another. I also found it fun and engaging to read the pages. Overall speaking, the book is suitable for youngsters to learn science starting from basic knowledge. In my opinion, it will be better if basic formulas can be introduced under the topics of forces, energy, and electricity. This will help youngsters to explore science in depth.

This was surprisingly really good! I enjoyed all the funny cat photos throughout & don’t believe they take away from the topics being presented. There was some cat humor sprinkled throughout too which I appreciated & I’m sure younger readers would appreciate as well. The flow of topics was really well done and I felt like I was able to smoothly transition to the next chapter/topic. This is seemed so important to this type of book & I’m so glad it was done well! Also, I found myself learning a few new things from the facts in this book too!! Overall an enjoyable, easy to read fact book filled with beautiful hi res photos to go with the information being presented. Perfect for science or STEM fans as well as cat fans or maybe even meme fans ;)

I loved looking at the cute cats while reading about general science facts. This books has excellent resource tools for research and locating information within the text, i.e. a table of contents, glossary, index and a list of books for further information. The cats, simple easy format and bright colors make learning fun!

I fell in love with this book the moment I saw it on the table at the book fair. Me and my daughter read this together and we found it to be both funny and educational. How can you not love a book that has pictures of cats mixed with science?

I bought this book for my grandson at our school book fair. It is full of bright, entertaining illustrations of cats doing interesting things. There are many interesting facts for both adults and children. This is a book that can be revisited many times.

Vau mikä kirja! Mielenkiinto säilyi aikuislukijallakin alusta loppuun. Sain kerrata vanhoja tietojani liittyen aurinkokuntaamme, linnunrataan ja muihin avaruuden asioihin; huomasin unohtaneeni jotain. Kirjassa oli myös paljon uutta tietoa kiteytetyssä, hauskassa ja kissamaisen söpössä muodossa.

Kissat ja avaruustähtitiede todella täydensivät toisiaan. Kuvitus on aika räikeää, yliampuvaa ja meemimäistä, mutta se on juuri kirjan lapsilukijaa kenties kiinnostava puoli. Myös kissajännitysmittari jokaisella sivulla oli toimiva ominaisuus; aina kun käänsin sivua, katseeni kiinnittyi ensimmäisenä kunkin sivun kissajännitysmittariin, jossa oli 5 eri jännitystasoa: Vau! Eikä! OMG! Yäk! & Pää räjähtää! Nämä mittarin eri tasot kuvastivat sitä, kuinka ihmeellistä kyseisellä sivulla oleva tieto kissan mielestä oli.

Tietopuoli kirjassa on täsmällistä, selkeää ja varmasti paikkansa pitävää. Teos käy pienissä tietopaketeissa läpi todella laajan kattauksen avaruuden asioita. Loistava tiedettä popularisoiva ja lapsia tähtitieteen äärelle opastava teos. Tämän luettuaan kuka tahansa tietää avaruudesta jo enemmän kuin mitä yläasteen ja lukion aikana perusopetuksessa käydään läpi, ainakin minun muistaakseni...

Kirja sopii parhaiten luettavaksi ehkäpä 8-15-vuotiaille, mutta miksei myös aikuisille, jotka tykkäävät kissoista. Ylipäätään kaikille, jotka tykkäävät kissoista, tämä saattaa upota.

Ihan järkyttävää kuraa. Muka hauskoja kissoja laitettu kommentoimaan muka hauskasti tähtitieteen ja maailmankaikkeuden juttuja. Kokonaisen sivun lukeminen aiheutti enemmän kuin vanhempien haliminen julkisella paikalla teininä tai esitelmän pito pelkissä rikkinäisissä kalsareissa seisksaluokalla. Huonoin tietokirja jota olen yrittänyt hetkeen lukea. Suosittelen etenkin kissaihmisiä ja avaruudesta kiinnostuneita pysymään tästä p*****a kaukana. Samoin suosittelen kirjastoja polttohautamaan jo ostamansa kappaleet. Noin miinus kolme tähteä ja sekin on säälistä ja yläkanttiin.
