Rate this book
Jarrod Hawkins, a vigilante with terrifying superhuman abilities, sets out to destroy the remnant cells of a crippled terrorist organization. The men and women of Katharos have been scattered; they are beaten, hopeless, afraid. Katharos has fallen and will never rise again.

Or so he thinks.

As Jarrod hunts and interrogates the fleeing terrorists, they confront him with an impossible claim: The Emperor has risen from the dead—Katharos will be reborn and the apocalypse is about to begin.

Not knowing what to believe, Jarrod returns to the United States, hoping to protect the people he loves. But a shadow is spreading across the globe and his enemies are mounting against him. Someone is manipulating high-level members of the U.S. Government, and they will stop at nothing to bring him down. Jarrod is drawn away from his family and into the fight, unaware that he will soon be forced to choose between saving his family and saving the entire world.

I was born and raised in the rural Midwest, surrounded by miles of cornfields. After graduating high-school, I enlisted in the United States Air Force, then rode a desk for four years before transferring to an elite Special Tactics unit.
In that unit, I was privileged to work with Special Operations Forces personnel from the Army, Navy, and Marines.
My training took me to exotic locations around the world, and I completed two combat deployments in Afghanistan.
After my second term of enlistment, I separated from the Air Force to spend more time with my family and go to college. While grinding through math, science, and academic writing classes, I resumed one of my favorite past times—storytelling.
Now, I write fiction full-time. Through writing, I share the tragedy, comradery, pain, and redemption I've seen throughout life. I hope to spark awareness and change through my novels, and I give a large portion of my proceeds to charitable organizations that fight human trafficking around the world.

A continuing series with two storylines.

This book is primarily a continuation from the last book I have read in the series. The book educates us about child exploitation and manipulation of children for prostitution as well as giving us a story about a worldwide cabal that’s trying to take over the planet. The only thing I do not like in the book is the continuing message on child exploitation yes it is bad and the author beats us over the head with it. I think this takes away from the technothriller aspects of the book. The other thing is the character of Eugene, he’s walking around injured with a limp. Any soldier in their right mind would want to be healed so that it can give 100 percent to protect his love ones. The book is definitely a page turner and will keep you on the edge of your toes. If you read the other ones in the series you might as well read this one.
