Sex, dating, and three rules.

Twenty-nine-year-old wild, carefree, and brutally sarcastic Amanda Bishop thought her three rules for dating would weed out unworthy suitors. And they did. Until she met Shane Reed, her smart-ass, sexy-as-sin CrossFit coach who pushes all her buttons. He's the man she loves to hate. But when the hate begins to ebb away and is replaced by feelings she can't handle, Amanda hides behind her rules. Will the electric chemistry she feels with Shane allow her to get beyond a painful past, or will she push him away with her rules? Rules that make her the ultimate Sex Snob.

Elizabeth Hayley is actually “Elizabeth” and “Hayley,” two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. This mutual love prompted them to put their English degrees to good use by penning their own. They learned a ton about each other through the process, like how they clearly share a brain and have a persistent need to text each other constantly. They live with their husbands and kids in a Philadelphia suburb. Thankfully, their children are still too young to read.

3.5--In the End I Didn't Love Amanda--Stars!!!

Sex Snob is a companion novel to Pieces of Perfect. It features Amanda, Lily's roommate. She was a very minor character in Pieces of Perfect.

Unfortunately I didn't care for Amanda's story as much as I did Lily's. I started out really liking Amanda. She was snarky and sarcastic and I LOL several times throughout the book.

Amanda is in her low 30s I believe, she works for an accounting firm and has three dating rules she lives by after being blindsided with a breakup after college.

1--always have sex by the fourth date.....you'd hate to invest in someone that blows in the sack.
2--only date people that make as much or more money than she does.
3--no kissing in public....it's trashy.

She currently has a friends with benefits thing going on with a guy named Kyle. Frankly, I really liked Kyle. I thought Amanda and Kyle were better together than Amanda and our hero, Shane. Shane is an instructor at the CrossFit gym that Amanda goes to. They have an interesting relationship, to say the least. Reminded me of the way a middle school boy would treat a crush....trading jabs at each other, etc. In that regard they were actually pretty funny.

My biggest problem was the fact that Amanda was too wishy-washy with Shane. I really thought she was a bitch to him. It took her nearly the whole book to admit her feelings for Shane. They did share a few hot scenes together but I never really connected with them as a couple.

Best part of the book.....the EPILOGUE from Lily's POV! Who the hell did she go visit???? Damn I need the next book!!!!!

Sex Snob by Elizabeth Hayley
THE BEST DICKING I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME!!!!
Amanda & Shane
5 Stars!

Just finished this little whopper a few hours ago. It packs quite a punch and is filled to the rim with sexual tension, ample humor, and the best damn character cast I've read in a long time. The subject lines are not too heavy, but hinting at more intense feelings to be revealed later. It's definitely one you all need to put on your TBR list like right quick and in a hurry!

Amanda was utterly spectacular. I loved her from the very beginning and why not? She's gorgeous, smart, talented, and all around one of the best damn female leads I've read in long time. She made me laugh out loud more times than I can count. With that said, she also made me want to smash her face in a few times too. I loved that she was Lily's roomie from the previous book Pieces of Perfect so we got to read about Lily a little bit too. I'm so looking forward to finding out who the man is Lily's been going to see. I think I know, but I'll wait till the next book comes out to see for sure! Now Shane, he's one hot piece of ass! He was always straight forward, no fooling around when it came to his CrossFit classes. Sometimes I couldn't tell if he was being a jokester with Amanda or if he was being serious. Some of those comments about her body, I just wanted to kick him in the nuts, but I get now that most of that was just banter between those two. Trust me, Amanda gave it right back! He's a very trustworthy, outgoing type of person and if I thought I'd run into someone like him at a gym I'd buy two memberships like yesterday! LOL! Great supporting characters in Lily, Steph, Danielle, Kate, Kyle, Hot Rod, and even Master Bader.

The writing style is perfect. It always gets right to the point while making you feel every emotions our characters feel. Good, bad, funny, and ugly, you name it, I've felt it in this book. Elizabeth Hayley's writing has a way of sucking you into her story and making you feel like you're actually living it. The POV is Amanda's and by God, she a great story teller! The pacing is great and kept me interested from cover to cover. I was sad to see it end. Like I said, I was seriously into this one and it felt like I was losing a friend when I read that last page. Never fear, I'll keep you on my Kindle always Sex Snob!

Tons of highs and lows, and one of the greatest climaxes I've read in a long time. It's approximately 210 (Kindle Verison) pages long. A perfect length to get this book under my skin, take me on a wild ride, and put me to bed with a huge gin on my face! Looking forward to your next one in this series!

Sometimes a girl just needs a good, hard spanking to clear her mind"

As I sit here sucking on my GoGurt (no, that was not a euphemism, I really like these fuckers, plus I don't have to dirty a spoon because I'm a lazy asshole) and thinking back to what I truly loved about this book, I really can't pinpoint just one thing.

It was laugh your ass off funny, sarcastic, sexy as fuck, sweet with a great storyline, and it was executed well.
And did I mention, hot sex WITH a Crossfit instructor??
NO, well...
Yeah it's in there and my panties were drenched from the beginning to end. The damn anticipation of waiting for them to DO IT was killer and I think that is what made me love it even more.
Anticipation, for me, is what really gets me riled up!

Amanda Bishop (Aka Autumn... ok maybe not but I'd still like to think so), was treated like shit by her former EX lover and since then, she built a wall around her heart.
Vowing to never date anyone else like her EX, she creates rules that keep men at arms length.
That didn't mean she wouldn't fuck them, that just meant she wouldn't get attached.
She was that afraid of being hurt again.

That is until the always sexy, smart, and fuckable Crossfit trainer, Shane stepped into the picture and she was doomed.
Not really, she fought it every step of the way and the insults she threw at Shane were hilarious, pee yourself, funny!
But what she was really doing was using humor and insults to ignore the sexual attraction because Shane did not fit the mold for the rules she set for herself.

"I leaned in close, "Of the fact that I wouldn't even fuck you with someone else's pussy""

See, I debated whether or not to tell you guys these rules but I think you need to experience them yourself by reading this book. So I am going to keep my mouth shut (well besides eating this gogurt because its delicious and my daughter will be pissed I'm eating them haha double score for mom of the year).

But in the end, Amanda had to find out for herself whether or not rules are meant to be broken. Even if that meant her heart might be shattered once again. She had to be willing to take that leap of faith and find out for herself if throwing caution to the wind is worth that one person who can make you feel complete.
Or she was going to spend the rest of her life putting sex toys in her hair ;).

"Eventually, you have to become a big girl and choose more meaningful aspirations. But I clearly wasn't ready to be a big girl."

Seriously amazing story, that had the right amount of funny, seriousness, sexy, and sex. The characters were well-rounded and enjoyable. The antics were just as hilarious and I need to find these authors in real life because I have a feeling we would have an amazing time together. Just no bars with decks ok? I don't think I can swim while intoxicated.

Can't wait to read more from these two amazing authors because I know I am in for a good time, laughs, and possible B.O.B time, if the husband is not around.

If you're looking for something different, a nontraditional heroine that sleeps around and a hero who does all the chasing, I would recommend this.

Amanda is strong, brash, independent and not afraid to have fun ;) Just read the first page and you'll get the essence of the wild force that is Amanda. I have to stay that this book isn't for everyone.

Shane sounds like a sexy, buff man with the whole package, if ya know what I'm saying! Their relationship has a bit of ups and downs, but I was actually with Amanda the whole way. She made mistakes, pushed him away and had some big girl pants to pull up, but overall, I really liked her. We know where her emotions and actions are coming from and her path made sense to me.

****SPOILERS ARE IN THIS REVIEW************

Holy hell was this book a riot. i am a preschool teacher so I do alot of reading while the kids take their 2 hours nap. OMG I was cracking up so ofter i would wake up the kids near me.....oooopppss!!! So be warned, this is funny. I really tell people that if they have read Tara Sivec's Seduction and Snacks...they will LOVE this book!!! The humor is just wrong on so many levels but i cracked up non the less......

Now i did read Pieces of Perfect before reading Sex Snob and I will say you don't have to read the first bk. Lily (the main character from book 1) is in it but her back story is pretty non existent in this book. Now with that stated, I gotta tell you about Amanda. She was hurt very badly but a jerk of a boyfriend. It left Amanda guarded and basically refusing to let anyone in. She is good for some hot sex but if you don't fit into her mold "of the right man" she will let you go. Well she hates her boss and thinks of fun ways to kill him (my favorite was to cut his brake lines and then casually mentions getting everyone coffee when she returns).

She does manage to work out a few nights a week at a gym but really cannot stand the person who runs her class. Her and Shane have a love hate relationship. The banter between them is sooooooo hilarious. Seriously when she tells him his idea of a good night out is LSD and Duct tape...fun for you but not so fun for the lady.....I almost peed my pants!!! Well another trainer is having a birthday and Shane asks if Amanda will go. She agrees and ends up having some fun with SHANE...what!! Can't be!!! He is a dud and poor....Well the two continue to have this amazingly hot chemistry. Every scene with them gets hotter and hotter. i was screaming....KISSSSSSSSS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well let me tell you that first kiss is *gulps ice tea* SIZZLING!!! But damn Amanda and her freaking RULES stops things from progressing. She freaks and tries to hide out....but it doesnt work very well.......She keeps denying her attraction to Shane because of her damn RULES!!! Well Shane defo pursues her but then kinda backs off and plays it cool until one night at the bar. When he admits his feelings she just spews venom at him and he is devistated. I will say I was SCREAMING at her by this point.

OMG I cannot forgot the sex in the book....holy hells bells. It was awesome. The chemistry between the characters is just thick. The sex is hot and hard but also was intimate and very caring. I love Shane and how he knew what Amanda wanted through the whole book.

Well after she realizes she needs to clear her head and she heads to visit her mom, i was cracking up......The ending scene with her and Shane was sweet and totally perfect for them. The epilogue is through Lily's eyes (it is preparing us fir the sequel to Pieces of Perfect.....) and i have to admit I loved this scene 110%. I think it really shows the true relationship between Shane and Amanda. I was extremely happy with the end sand look forward to more of them in Pieces part 2........

I really love the writing style of this duo, this book is a spin off of Pieces If Perfect and stars Lily's roommate Amanda.
Amanda is full of wit and sass and I love that in a leading lady add into the mix Kyle her hot best friend and fuck buddy and Shane the even hotter personal trainer at the Crossfit gym.
Amanda has some issues though after being dumped by Nate she sets rules about the people she dates, and this is what earns her the title of sex snob from Shane.
Great little moments between Amanda and her co workers not to mention the continuous one up man ship with Shane.
Add into the mix the mention of the swoon worthy Jax from SoA and it's a damn good read.
Even better is the hint that in the follow up to Pieces of Perfect we get to find out what happens next for Lily.
Give it a go because I don't think you'll be disappointed.
4.5 stars for me, keep the books coming girls.

Loved this little story of the gutsy Amanda Bishop & her love/hate relationship with the hot CrossFit trainer, Shane Reed. Their verbal duels were hilarious, and their journey a delight to watch.

A great, easy read....and a freebie to boot!

Oh my God! I’m in love with these two ladies! Sex Snob is their second book, and you can read my review of their first book, Pieces of Perfect, here. That book was amazing, but I think Sex Snob may have just beat it!

A spin-off to Pieces of Perfect, Sex Snob is about Amanda—a no-holds-barred accountant (surely that’s an oxymoron) whose sexual deviancy knows no bounds. Unashamedly crass, she lives by her own rules…literally. Amanda has three rules:

1. She must have sex with a guy by the 4th date if there’s potential for a further relationship,
2. The guy must earn the same amount, if not more, than she does, and
3. Never kiss a guy in a bar/public.

“There were gorgeous, shirtless men everywhere. My eyes raped every last one of them as I tried to understand how I had been so blind…”

Blissfully happy in her Amanda-bubble, she goes on with her life, sleeping with the guy she’s currently with, or getting her needs met with her f*ck-buddy, Kyle. Her days are filled with her boss, Mr Bader, who insists that they call him Mr Bader at all time, much to the delight of Amanda and her colleagues. Bader is a great character—a misogynist, sure, but his tangents of story-telling are so inappropriate, yet completely hilarious, especially when it comes to Amanda’s reactions/inner-monologue to them.

To unwind after work, Amanda goes to a CrossFit gym where her opinions of her instructor, Shane, are laugh-out-loud funny. They have a love-hate relationship, slinging insults at each other constantly, but not matter the harshness of Amanda’s words towards him, you can see that she is actually really attracted to him.

“If he could have been born a mute, he’d be absolutely perfect.”

But it’s an accidental brushing of hands that sets Amanda off. There’s a spark between her and Shane, but there’s just one little problem: rule number two. There is no way that Shane can earn more money than she does, so she builds up the wall she’s been using to protect herself for so long and ignores the magnetic pull she has towards the man.

After a series of incidents, Amanda actually ends up spending quite a bit of time with Shane. She finds herself wanting to let down her walls and let him in, but it’s her fear of getting hurt again that hold her back. She thinks that if she denies her feelings that they will simply disappear.

“There were certain thinks I wouldn’t leave to chance. My happiness was one of them.”

Her constant pushing away has left her alone, and although she thinks this is what she wants, in reality, she’s craving to have a proper relationship with someone, to fall in love and have the whole marriage thing. It’s a chicken that makes her realize this (you’ll have to read Sex Snob to find out why!)

Alright, so the good bits…everything was amazing about this book. Great pacing, great characters, amazing chemistry, funny and witty dialogue. I was finding myself smiling and laughing at both the antics and Amanda’s internal (and sometimes not so internal) thoughts. The woman simply doesn’t have a filter between her brain and her mouth, which can get her into trouble.

Sure, there were times in there that I wanted to slap the woman in the face (if only it wasn’t for the fear of her hitting me back) for how she was acting and reacting to things around her. But this behaviour was completely understandable as Elizabeth Hayley do such a great job of building Amanda’s world up for you to see. I felt I knew her inside and out, and it made me want to go out drinking with her because this girl can party hard.

Ultimately, Hayley Elizabeth write contemporary romances designed to provoke thought and challenge your preconceived notions about how contemporary romance novels should go. In their first novel Pieces of Perfect we don’t quite get the happily ever after we expect, BUT there is a tantalising epilogue on the end of Sex Snob that will have you waiting anxiously for their next book.

I love this book, and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys their heroines with a little bit of snark and a healthy sex-drive.

Despite the (in my opinion) poor title choice, this book is actually pretty good. It follows Amanda and Shane as they navigate their way around love - and each other.

There are some great aspects to this first person novel. First and foremost I enjoyed Amanda's personal attitude of self-acceptance. She likes who she is, and insists that others take her for what she is, too. She never compromises her personality for anyone else. It does mean that she isn't always trying to be a better person, but hey - some people are just fine with that. Shane is quite likeable, too, and I loved that he just kept trying. It takes a lot of courage to be emotionally vulnerable to the same person that many times. The many sex scenes are varied and inventive (with the deliberate exception of the first one).

There are however, a few things that I felt were poorly done. Amanda's boss was completely unbelievable from start to finish (to the point that it was distracting). The stories were icky, too. Second, Amanda and Shane's banter in the first third of the book goes beyond jocularity into meanness at times and I kept thinking that I would have been very uncomfortable had I been in the gym with them and heard some of what they said.
Finally, I felt that Amanda was too cavalier about her sex life (especially for someone who had the "snob" moniker). The has no fewer than three sexual partners in this book, often going from one to another within a week or less. While I was glad to see her practicing safe sex (through most of the book, anyway), it just made it hard to relate to her in places.

For a free kindle book, this wasn't terrible and it had some laugh out loud moments. Worth the purchase price, at least!

I am clearly in the minority when I rate this book as a 3,5 star. It was recommended by a friend who like most other reviewers loved it.
My problem was that the 2 main characters only started getting the 'courtship' on track half way through the book! Even then Amanda was practically falling into bed with another guy the night('ish) before purely out of horniness! Once Amanda and Shane did get things going they were incredibally a-emotional about each other...?!
The last quarter of the book was definitely the best. The first 50% of the book was a complete waste of time. Thank goodness for Amanda's f-ckbuddy Kyle though who saved the day (and the first half off the book).
I feel as though this book realistically should have been a novella. I also agree with another reviewer about the Epilogue in this book: one of the most intriguing ever! Who is Lily seeing?!?! Having said/asked that, can I be bothered to read another book from this writing duo who have wasted my time with half of this book...? Not sure.

This is another great book By Elizabeth and Haley. I give it 5 stars !!!!!!!!

I loved the banter between the sexes in this story. I was laughing out loud at the things they said!
Amanda is a sexy, smart, wiseass woman who has lived by a set of rules since her college sweetheart dumped her. She develops a love/hate relationship with her trainer Shane. He seems to have it out for her and pushes her to her emotional and physical limits on a daily bases. She hasn't found love due to her crazy set of rules but she does have a friend with benefits to take care of her ummm other needs!!! I loved how the story progressed and you watched the characters grow. It also has Lily in it from the first book Pieces of Perfect....which by the way was also great!!! Amanda and Lily are roommates. I couldn't put it down!

I can't wait to read the next book by these lovely authors!!!

4 stars!

Getting gussied up is so overrated...So enjoy your girls night out in the comfort of your elastic waisted sweatpants, a pint of B & J or a glass of wine and laugh like a hyena while reading this book, where checking out men becomes a sport. You can go to the bar, work and the gym where the games, banter and barbs are never ending. Right from the comfort of your home.

That's the best description of the feel of this book...a great girls night out. It really doesn't matter if you are past that time in your life, still living it or never really experienced it in the first place...I think you will enjoy your evening if you vicariously let your hair down with the two gals that wrote this and their sexually charged modern woman.

Great job ladies. I never would have guessed this was the product of duel authorship. Keep the stories coming and

Love it! Amanda and Shane are great together and absolutly funny!
Amanda has only superficial relationships , yes to sex and no to feelings. After a terríble ending of a relationship , she make some rules about dating. What she didn't expect is Shane. He is a trainer in a fitness club that she had joined.
They spend all the time teasing each other, and it is so hilarious. But as time passes buy, it become impossible to resist Shane, little a little he take down her defenses.
Will Amanda give up her rules to try a relationship with Shane?
This book is very entertaining, and did I say, Hot?! Yes, it is really hot!

The Elizabeth Hayley duo has done it again! Thought you could read your smut without anyone noticing? Well, this light-hearted sexy story will completely blow your cover because you will literally be laughing out loud time and again. The witty banter between Shane and Amanda is hilarious! Amanda is a relatable hot mess and Shane's Crossfit-inspired abs speak for themselves. Don't even get me started about Kyle. Let's just say he's creative. And I like it. Prepare yourself for when the sparks fly between these strong and strong-willed characters. A must read!

I ABSOLUTELY loved this book. It took me completely by surprise. I loved Amanda's humor and snarky comments throughout the book and funny banter between her and Shane (who's sexy as hell). She has become one of my favorite heroines with her no holds barred attitude. Brilliant, funny, sexy and one of my all time favorite books. There are no words to describe how awesome this book is. Shane's proposal was absolutely heart meltingly good.

The story was okay, It ain't that exciting and I'm not satisfied with it.

Around 20 or 30% of the story, I got bored. It lacks drama or humor..

The story line was kinda flat and the peak was...okay, I skipped a lot.

Alright, HOW HAD I NOT READ THIS BEFORE?? This duo is amazeballs honestly. They continue to leave me in tears from laughing so much and this book was no different. It was fun, hot, crazy as hell and it was entertaining, and though it was funny as hell, it held more spice and wit. I often stick to the more intense side of romance, but every so often I will take a chance on a book like this and for this one? I was impressed and surprised that I loved it as much as I did. I hadn't known it at the time, but I needed this read. After reading so many intense and darker romances, my brain needed a rest and this book was P.E.R.F.E.C.T in all sense of the word. It was relatable, the main character going through things that some of us could easily relate to ourselves, she was my age, she is sarcastic in every way, and I could understand her struggles with her life, and I think that's what kept my attention all the way through. I love how the authors played the characters out, their style of writing is perfection. This enemies to lovers romances was epic, funny and exactly what I needed.

5 stars!

Where do I even start with Sex Snob by Elizabeth Hayley... I had the ebook sitting on my kindle, as is the way with amazon I 1click continuously when a blurb or cover grabs my attention with every intention of reading the book I've just bought when I get a spare couple of hours between arc reviews and beta reading. I was offered an audio copy for review, not realising Sex Snob was already sitting pretty on my kindle, I jumped in the car after work yesterday after work, pressed play and was instantly pulled into Amanda's world, this author duo grabbed me by the collar on the very first page, I was invested in their, I wanted to know more, I NEEDED to know more about not just Amanda, but Lily, Steph and Danielle, more about Kyle and Shane... I was desperate for every little scrap of information Elizabeth Hayley would bestow upon me.

Amanda is every bit of the strong, independent modern woman, she's got a good job, is financially stable, she's sassy, sexy and sexually liberated, she knows exactly what she wants and what she doesn't and she's not willing to back down on what she knows she deserves. Amanda's surrounded by best friends, roommate Lily, and bff with benefits Kyle, great work friends Danielle and Steph. Her life is good, she spends her days at work with her pompous arse of a boss, Mr Bader, and her nights being ridiculed by her arrogant, cocky and yet incredibly sexy crossfit trainer Shane. Girls nights, financial freedom, sex with no strings, life is good for Amanda.

Sex Snob is very much Amanda's vehicle for growth and development, she has her reasons for living by her life by a certain set of rules but the more time she spends with the cocky bastard who's got her body in better shape than it's been in years she might just have a reason to re-examine those rules she lives by.

I use the text to speech function on my KF while I'm driving only, it's monotone and robotic but I can deal with it as it's only used when sitting in the car to and from work.I read quickly, very quickly to be honest, and so I don't tend to buy the audio companions that often, in some cases I've found that audio books with poor narration can actually ruin a book for me, their voices invade my mind and I struggle to hear the voice I originally imagined in my head, in the case of Sex Snob the narration only made my reading experience better.
Amanda's voice was exactly what I expected, her voice held both a youthful exuberance and snarky lilt, every pause, every gasp, every moment of inner monologue, every nuance of the authors writing was caught perfectly.

My only regret is that I had Sex Snob sitting on my kindle for so long without picking it up, I've 1clicked the series that preceded this one because I need more. Sex Snob had the perfect balance of snarky wit, heart and sizzling heat, Amanda may be a little unorthodox in her approach to life and love but she captivated me from the moment she started her story, I can see this book on my reread list, it left me feeling lighter after reading it, the perfect tale for those times when you just want to smile, when your stuck dealing with a book hangover that just wont go away. This may have been my first book by these authors but it certainly won't be my last, I loved every single second of this story, and I can't wait to sink my teeth into everything else they have penned.

I am not going to lie, I did not enjoy this book.
For lack of a better phrase it just was not my cup of tea.

First of all, how can you be a "Sex Snob" if you sleep with tons of men #abaseballteamofmen
description

I found the main character to be selfish shallow, arrogant and somewhat slutty. Not abundantly so but enough to annoy me. And maybe I'm being the shallow one now, but I like my characters humble, or at least moderately modest.
description

I get that everyone in this world is at least a little judgmental and that maybe 7 out of 10 woman are somewhat narcissistic, but not in an arrogant way like Amanda was, more like they can look in the mirror before leaving for work and like what they see.

And as for the judgmental comment, I get it, you can't get along with everyone, but I didn't like her critique of her fellow CrossFit partner (Emily) it was rude. Or her mocking of the climbing instructor Rain.

And the night she went out with her friends and ended up running away from the police and all that, I was like" are you serious?" If she were my friend I would be furious at her for being such a nuisance.
I would have told her straight to get her shit together.

This may again make me seem shallow but I hated how sexual she was. If her boob was hanging out it was no big deal. Screwing her "Best Friend" Kyle for kicks was no big deal. And it's not like she was modest about this either. She advertised her sexual experience every opportunity she got.

I realize I might be sexist by saying this but it just was not very lady like. Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude but for God's sake woman could you keep it in your pants!

Amanda Bishop is a sassy and sarcastic 29 year old financial planner. About 80% of the time, the stuff that comes out of her mouth are in some form of sarcasm.

After suffering one bad break-up, she listed 3 rules to ensure that she does not fall for the another douchebag as her ex. Her 3 rules were:

1. No sex until the 4th date.
2. Can't make less money than her.
3. No kissing in clubs because it's disgusting.

Amanda is what most if not all conservative ladies will call a slut. Because she gets around. She even has a fuck buddy/best friend, Kyle who is a male version of her. While she's satisfying her sexual needs elsewhere, she also has the hots for Shane Reed.

Shane Fucking Reed. He was a cocky son of a bitch who had made it his goal in life to irritate the hell out of me.

Shane Reed is Amanda's intructor at CrossFit. He's smart-mouthed, built like Adonis and sexy as fuck. Amanda despised him because of his tough nature, constantly pushing her more than the other gym members. For months, they had bantered back and forth during sessions, creating a sort of friendship.

The banter in this story was hilarious. They're crude but they made me laugh out loud. Sometimes the jokes were on purpose, sometimes accidental but this book is definitely funny. The characters were also ridiculously funny, from Amanda's boss Mr. Bader to her mom.

The romance in this story was believable and there was no slut shaming whatsoever. If everyone can accept a playboy or rake/rogue why can't you accept that women fuck around too? This time the role is reversed with Amanda being the one who wouldn't let go of her heart and Shane who was willing and ready to start a relationship with her. That just made me adore him so much more.

This is a really fun book to read. It's funny and the sex is hot. The romance is sweet but a little angsty. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who loves humorous romance novels.

4.5 "ADORABLE, LAUGH OUT LOUD, SUPER STEAMY" STARS

This book surprised me. It was refreshing and hilarious, but not over the top. The characters banter was hilarious and creative. The shit they threw at each other, was amazing.

I also liked the workouts. So many books these days having running in them. I like to run, but I really don't need to read about so many girls running. So for them to incorporate so many workouts and high impact weight training was a very nice add.

Amanda was a very impressive leading lady and man can she throw some shit talking around. She held her own on many occasions. If I had an opening for a best friend and she was real, I'd sign her up. I didn't get her rules, but I understood why she had them. They seemed weird to me, but then again she was a little nutty.

Shane, OH SHANE!!! I shall add him to my book boyfriend shelf. When they kept describing him I literally drooled a little. I could picture him in my head. OH HOW I COULD PICTURE HIM. Then you add his smart ass mouth, his hidden sexual innuendos and the fact that he was adorable with his niece I was asking myself where can I break me off a piece of that.

HOT ROD. Every scene with him in it, made me laugh my ass off.

Mr. Bader - a great add to the story and kept the laughable moments coming.

Her Friends - Added so much to the story and kept it going. I'm so glad they didn't fizzle off. She kept them involved and I loved that.

If you haven't picked up this book yet, you must go buy it.

4.5 stars!!!

This book totally made me crack up!! She is just too funny! I was dying when she jumped overboard!

Amanda has rules for herself when it comes to meeting men. One of her top rules is, don't date anyone who makes less money then her. She made this rule when she had a bad break up with an ex. Now this one rule may keep her from finding her happily ever after.

Shane is Amanda's CrossFit coach who pushes all her buttons. While working out, Amanda and Shane are always showing their love/hate relationship. However, over time, the hate part starts to fade away. Amanda catches her feelings becoming stronger for Shane. Will she let her self feel? Or will she push them away, and tell herself to stick to her rules?

Now Kyle.... Can I just say "HOT"... My goodness there are some nice scenes with him as the star lead! Kyle is Amanda's best friend/sex with no strings attached just the way she likes it! Hmm.. May be nice to have one of those! I would love to read a book about him!

Hot Rods ceremony that they had while going over their contest... LMBO!! It seriously made me laugh so hard! Man I wish I could have seen those pictures!

Another thing I liked about this book is it also had Lily in it. Now let me just say...
The epilogue!!
Omg, I need Lily's next book now! I loved how it was in Lily's POV!! Can't wait to see how her next book continues!!

Another great story by Elizabeth Hayley! This spin off to Pieces of Perfect was the story of Amanda (Lily's roommate) and her CrossFit coach Shane and it was laugh out loud hilarious! Amanda is feisty and speaks her mind and Shane is tough and doesn't hold back either. When the two come together it is explosive. Amanda set herself up with rules when it came to men and dating and it was all to protect herself from getting hurt. Shane didn't fit into these rules but like the old saying goes rules were made to be broken and once those rules were broken they were able to find their way to one another. I loved all the characters in this story but what stood out most is the sexy banter and how funny the story was. The things Amanda says or thinks made me laugh so often I practically laughed throughout the whole book. The epilogue was a great way to end Amanda and Shane's story and gets us ready to go back and continue with Lily's story which I eagerly await!
