Read this on Holden's recommendation. Anecdotal stories like longer-winded, wind-up jokes with dashingly casual dialogue.

Ring Lardner, one of my favorite authors of all time. I managed to snag a copy at Serendipity books before it closed down for good. But this little volume of his writing is one of my most treasured books.
