Deception, manipulation, and countermoves—that was the way of the Crimson Asa Court. I knew that now. Nothing I learned at the Red Sun Academy would have prepared me for this. We are back in the world of the Vampyre~ The battle between Joseph and Shade is epic but one has to die! The Empress ensured Athanasia would be the one to do it! The Princess proved her wrong~ The Empress wanted Joseph for herself before he served his demotion. He had something important to tell the Princess but was wiped of memories. They also took the promise of battling Gala away from her and gave it to Shade for a transgression she committed. She sneaks out to attack Gala, but discovers someone already betrayed them. So, she ended all of Gala and herself! Now, the Seraph gathers her in the time of her death and proceeds to prophesy to her what will come. After a time, she is sent back to her universe…but it has been 100 years! At the moment she discovers true love…she is snatched once again by the Seraph! He gives another prophecy and sends her back! Now, she will have to fight many on her planet and beg for her universe to be saved! What will happen? What are the prophecies? Why her? All these will be answered within these covers…but the most important questions will wait for the sixth book in the series. Mr. Sample keeps raising the bar with each book he brings out in this series! I cannot wait to continue the journey with him! I received this via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary review.

Athanasia is trying to dealing with life in the court. Seems like everyone has some kind of hidden agenda, especially her aunt. Athanasia decides she will save both mens life, Joseph and Slade mean lot to her, even if she doesn't admit it. Athanasia is going to have her revenge against Gala for killing her father. Her Uncle decides to pull her from the mission as punishment. She decides she is going no matter what.
She leaves earlier than others would be, so noone even realizes she is gone. She gets a holotransmission. Everything at home is off the rails. Slade is in danger and many other things.
Her enemies know that they are their and are attacked. She manages to do what she had to. But things take a strange turn for her. She just wants to go home to Slade, she realizes that she does love him
This book has a lot of twist and turns that keeps you on your toes and you are not expecting. This was truly enjoyable read and can't wait to see what is next in this series

This is book 5 in The Rule of Three series and I absolutely loved this story and this is the continuation of Shade’s and Athanasia’s story but I’m not going to give any spoilers because it’s getting too exciting and I can’t wait to see what happens next. To know what’s going on it’s best to start from book 1 The Seraph’s Fate you won’t be disappointed I certainly wasn’t, I loved this story/ series it’s a 5 plus ⭐️ series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This is book 5 of The Rule of Three series. I love this series. Book 5 is well written and characters are well developed. I would recommend reading.
