This book is collective propaganda of ....

90 களின் வாழ்வியல் சூழலை , அது எவ்வாறு மாற்றம் பெற்றது என்பதை எளிய கதையின் மூலம் விளக்குகிறார் ஆசிரியர்.


கதை திராவிட கட்சியாளராக இருந்து சொல்லப்படுகிறது. அவ்வப்பொழுது 'ஈயம் பூசுன மாதிரியும் இருக்கணும் பூசாத மாதிரியும் இருக்கணும்' என்பது போல... பரப்புரைகளை சொருகி இருக்கிறார்.

இருந்தாலும் பழைய பாணி நல்ல ஏழை, கெட்ட பொறாமை பிடித்த பணக்காரன் இவர்களுக்கு இடையில் உள்ள ஏற்றத் தாழ்வின் வழியே பயணிக்கிறது.


காலப்போக்கில் ஏற்பட்ட மாற்றங்களை நன்றாகவே சொல்லி உள்ளார் ஆசிரியர்.

This should have been a 5 star book. The content is strong and the book has a clear voice. Author has a great way of handling the metaphors. Only lacking part is character narratives. I couldn’t invest on any characters as they were not fully developed arcs. It would be a great fiction, if the author makes this as a 200-300 pages novel and invests time on characters.

Its the history of tamilnadu

In a short , whole history of tamilnadu is portrayed, Yes we all each and every single entity of tamilnadu is benefited by the government schemes . Which makes us in this position and now again we are in decline , again the the proper welfare government should be placed to make us prosperous.

This history will surely teach a lesson for our comeback and we want more from the author in this same kinda ...

This book shows how TN progressed over the last 50 years. Its a sequel to Kalaignar Karunanithi's "kuppai thotti" story which portrayed the state of TN 50 years ago.. Must read for those who are interested and intrigued in TN's progress over the last 50 years. Also it makes aware of what TN is fast loosing due to right wing dominance..

The book talks about the Socio-Economic developments of Dravidian politics' by telling a story of a street & it's people. The book can not be claimed as a novel, as the "completeness" is missing is what I felt. Though-provoking & interesting anyways. Without an impacting "characters" this may turn out to be a mere "political canvassing" (though I personally agree with the author, with the thoughts he wanted to convey)

A brief contemporary history of a street in Tamil Nadu

This short novel, beautifully tells us that how a transformation of a street in a village of Tamil Nadu is taken place over past 50 years and how is that being criticized by people in different hierarchy of the society.

I strongly recommend this book for my friends.

Excellent Narration

Very interesting to read. It touches all the issues in the society like caste discrimination, reservation, NEET,inter-caste,.. certain political parties plans were touched throughout the book.. Even though it has less pages, creates big impact.

Talks about the positives changes in the society. But doesn't provide solutions to the negatives such as tasmac. Instead justifies that even in Gandhi's state there is alcohol. Overall a whirlwind trip of multiple generations.
