This contemporary romance was a joy to read! From the first page, I was drawn in by the free-spirited protagonist, Callie's, authenticity and relatability. Even when she finds herself struggling through challenging circumstances, she manages to stay true to herself. I loved that. I also loved the cast of supporting characters. If only we could all have such a loving social safety net to rely on through the good times and the tough. This book has romance, fun flirtations, drama, and some heart-wrenching scenes too. Readers will instantly relate to Callie's fears and uncertainties, and want to cheer her on as she chases her dreams. Looking forward to more from this talented author!

I LOVED this book! I recieved an ARC from the author, but had to wait until I was done with another book to start reading this. I’m honestly sad I waited. This book kept me interested all the way through and I loved the author’s writing style. I was actually disappointed when the book was finished.

While I loved the story line, I’m hoping to see a continuation of this book to see where she takes the characters! Such a quick read and such a light read that it can be finished in a day or two easily.

Callie Schneider is a flight attendant, homebased in San Francisco, California and a free spirit. During a layover in Palm Beach, Florida she has a one night stand with Andrew that results in an unexpected issue.

The story in written in first person point of view with Callie being the only viewpoint. I would have loved to have gotten Andrew's point of view too. I hesitate between 3 and 4 stars but I am going with 4 because it was nicely written and I did enjoy it. But I did have issues. I feel this story is more chick lit than romance. Callie and Andrew didn't spend much page time together. Most of the story evolved around Callie and her job and California friends. And while I did like Andrew, I felt he was too perfect. Too agreeable and perfect to be real. Overall, it was a good book but it didn't meet all my expectations for a romance.

This book was given to me by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I loved the details about being a flight attendant. Made me want to be one.

Callie is an independent woman. She stands by her convictions. I enjoyed her friendships and her carefree spirit.

Andrew is a pretty perfect and thoughtful man. I’m glad he was sweet and respected her decisions from the beginning.

The first chapter drew me in with Cal’s unexpected surprise. Cal’s letters were so beautiful. A lovely and relatable novel.

Being a flight attendant myself, I loved how real this book is! If you ever wanted to know what the life a flight attendant is like, you need to pick up this book! The cities, the layovers, having a christmas sandwich alone in your hotel room on christmas day. I hear you sister! United by wings! The last row made me laugh, so true!

Callie is a flight attendant, while on a layover Callie has a one night stand with a handsome local which results in her getting pregnant. Being a flight attendant and being pregnant do not go hand in hand 90% of the time. Schedules get changed, you are rarely in the same place twice in a row. Life is hectic. Callie is determined that keeping the baby is not an option, however the father is extremely supportive but voices the option that he can raise the baby alone while Callie concentrates on her dream of being a writer. Win win right, however what Callie might has classed as a nightmare has not turned into her saving grace as she becomes inspired to write letters to her unborn baby aka the little human.

This book is captivating and real! It addresses young womens fears in the letters and at times it is heartbreaking to read. Very powerful read!

SPOILERS - TRIGGERS!!!!

This book has a few triggers such as miscarriages and abortion which I understand can be quiet a delicate topic for some readers.
Thank you Lisa Wilkes for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

WAS NOT SURE WHAT TO EXPECT WITH THIS BOOK BUT I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. CALLIE IS A AIRLINE ATTENDANT AND SHE MEETS ANDREW ONE NIGHT WHILE ON A LAYOVER IN FLORIDA. THEY HAVE A HOT NIGHT AND SHE FINDS OUT LATER SHE IS PREGNANT. SHE NEVER WANTED CHILDREN BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO BE A WRITER BUT ANDREW DOES WANT A CHILD. SO THEY DECIDE SHE WILL MOVE NEAR HIM AND AFTER SHE HAS THE CHILD HE WILL RAISE IT ALONE. THIS DETAILS THEIR STORY AND WHAT A STORY IT IS AND THIS BOOK IS NOT TO BE MISSED.

I received a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

"Flight Path" by Lisa Wilkes was such a joy to read! I don't even know how to express all of my emotions because this is like a low-key emotional roller coaster! From reading the very first chapter, I just knew this was going to be a great book, and I was absolutely excited!

The protagonist of this lovely story is Callie Schneider. She is a flight attendant, but also a gifted writer. Callie's love interest is the sweet, caring Andrew Goldberg. Callie and Andrew were right off the bat such likable characters. I really liked Callie's sense of humor in the beginning of the story. Almost every funny line she said, I would chuckle. I wish I could have seen more of her sense of humor, but I do understand why the humor was toned down as the plot progressed because things were getting very serious in her life. First impression of Andrew was that he was very hot and sweet. His little moments of being shy and cute were very endearing. I feel that a lot of fictional love interests need to act more like Andrew. Andrew truly cherished Callie and supported all of her choices. When Andrew first called Callie babe, I literally made a happy squeal sound. I felt that their relationship was so genuine. Maintaining a long distance relationship can be very difficult for people, but Callie and Andrew stayed strong. This quote melted my heart, "This handsome stranger on Clematis Street was supposed to be a one-night stand, yet he's become my lifeline."

One of the golden moments in the story was Callie's writing. The author really shaped Callie into becoming a soulful writer. Her inner dialogue addressing her special person was quite endearing and showed that she really cared about them. The words that Callie created were incredible. It's hard for me to even describe how beautiful and compelling her writing was. Callie's blogs were full of emotion, and I felt all of it. You can tell that Callie put her heart and soul into her writing. The author really knows how to evoke emotion in her characters.

I loved how this story can relate to a lot of people in terms of figuring out difficult life choices, prioritizing one's responsibilities, and having to grow up. Callie was 28 years old, and she had some growing up to do. This shows that even adults are still capable of needing to grow up and evolve to being better people than what they once were. There was one quote in the story that demonstrated this: "I stare at myself, at the age of someone approaching thirty and still struggling to make choices that aren't self-destructive."

Another great part of this book was that the author incorporated her personal knowledge from being in the aviation industry into her book. As strange as this may sound, it's like the author is giving a little piece of her life into her work (if that makes any sense), and I think that's beautiful. Like her character Callie, Lisa Wilkes is truly a wonderful writer. This book is something special and something realistic that can connect with so many readers. I highly recommend reading "Flight Path" by Lisa Wilkes! Overall rating is 5 stars!

I truly enjoyed this book, I didn't expect the ending but was truly happy with it. The only thing I didn't like was all the abbreviations, I sometimes forgot what they meant.

An original story with a feeling of authenticity to the characters that is instantly appealing.
Callie is a flight attendant living a free spirited lifestyle. A rendezvous in Florida changes everything, prompting her to reassess what is most important in her life.
She makes being a flight attendant sound so awesome that I kind of wanted to be one for 5 minutes, but then I remembered I am terrified of flying and after about an hour onboard I really want to step out for some air!
Andrew is solid Good Guy material which makes him all the more attractive. There is a sense of realism to the dialogue that is thoroughly relatable, especially with the best friend relationship. I love the letters.
It is refreshing to see a story that is unpredictable and does not go quite as you expect it to. Well plotted and written.

“Flight Path”—Lisa Wilkes [4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️]
This book is Wilkes’ first published novel and was just released on January 29th. I was not sure what to expect with this story but it told quite the interesting tale of Callie Schneider, a flight attendant, traveling all over the country, living life on her own terms—that is, until she meets Andrew on her Florida layover. Her one night stand seems like a great idea at the time, but a relationship is the last thing shes thinking about. An unexpected surprise from that night causes Callie to re-evaluate her life decisions as she tries to figure out what is truly important. Is a bi-coastal relationship in the works for Callie and Andrew, or is it better to just move on? The ending was definitely unexpected, and Wilkes did a good job using her own experience in the aviation industry as inspiration for this story. 👍🏼📚

This book is a fun look at the life of a flight attendant, with some unique insights that you can only get from someone who has lived it. Unfortunately, the writing felt clunky, contrived and the dialogue felt unnatural. I don’t know anyone who uses “girl” in reference to their friends that much, or who says “yes” instead of “yeah” every single time. It felt like written dialogue, versus lived dialogue.

I had quite a few moral disagreements that definitely made some sections difficult to read, but you’ll never agree with anyone 100% of the time so oh well.

I could see the intent in the plot points, but it didn’t flow as well as it could have with a bit more editing. I also felt like the characters were very flat and static, with no real changes made to character outside of the main protagonist. I would have loved to see the main characters struggle more with difficult decisions, beyond the rushed one-night lapse in judgement that the main protagonist, Callie made later in the book.

Without spoiling it too much, the second to last chapter was very well written. You could feel the main characters fear and pain in the way that she changed from her typical take-charge-demeanor. It was heart-wrenching and I absolutely teared up and I’ve never even been in that situation.

It was very difficult to write this without any spoilers, so I hope this made sense. I hope the author releases more work, I can only see her writing getting better. Please more love stories at 30,000 feet, let’s see a captain fall in love with a flight attendant and maybe through in some airborne emergencies! Let’s see what those flight attendants are trained to do!!

I got this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book lacked so many things! :( I feel terrible for writing quite a negative review but I really didn't like the story at all.

The story follows a flight attendant through out her work, friendship and love interest.

First thing that bothered me so much was the fact that everyone agreed with the main character, that no one questioned her, that she got along with everyone, and that everything fell right in place at the same exact moment that she needed it.
She never gets into fights with her friends, her parents or her love interest. I don't think that's possible and it bothered me so much through out the book.

One positive thing is that the main character has excellent free will and does things that are maybe unconventional to a number of people. But even though that was the positive thing I wondered why was she like that? The author didn't give any insight into this even though it was the main characteristic of the main character. Did her parents have to do something with that, was it some of her past experiences, or something else maybe?

The same thing goes for her love interest. There is no depth when their relationship is described, it seemed to me that the author just wanted to finish the story as soon as possible, writing the story down without focusing on the origin of the story.

I liked the details about this kind of work and everything that goes on in that life but that is quite a small piece to make this a better review.

Have you ever wanted to be a flight attendant?? ✈️ I have to admit I’ve had this dream many many times! 😍
I love how Lisa Wilkes has used her experience has a flight attendant to write her book The Flight Path! This book does have a couple steamy moments, but there is much more depth to this story than I expected! ❤️
I love her easy writing style, you’re able to jump right into the story and adore the main character (who I kept assuming was similar to the author). Callie Schneider is a true California girl at heart who loves adventure! After a ‪one-night‬ stand in Florida turns her whole life upside down, you walk through this path with her. I enjoyed all of the characters in the book, including Callie’s BFF Mackie and the new man in her life Andrew.
This book gave a lot of fun insight to the life of being a flight attendant, but also really showed how true friendship and love will be there for you in the end. Thank you Lisa for gifting us a copy of your book! I hope you check out @travelisa1984 and read her new book The Flight Path!

Really enjoyed reading this book. It was a page turner and I finished it in just one day!! I appreciated the accuracy of Callie’s life as a flight attendant. I loved the characters and watching them develop throughout the book. Andrew was such a great character and not what I expected him to be at all from the way he and Callie met. I thought the letters Callie wrote to her future child were beautiful, and I’m happy we got a partial happy ending with Callie getting her work published. I only wish Callie losing her baby was a little bit more developed. I don’t feel like I got very many emotions from Callie and that is certainly a very traumatic experience to have. Overall SO impressed with this book, and can’t wait to read more from this author!

In Flight Path we have a chance to meet Callie, a flight attendant. Her life is moving in high speed and constantly. One night she meets Andrew and her life will change course.

I liked the closer look to a flight attendant's life and to all the difficulties this job can have.
In the book there are certain letter which I found quite moving.

As for the characters, I thought that Callie was a bit immature, I didn't understand the reason behind some of her actions and I didn't connect with her. But I like that there was a character development and in her end. Andrew on the other hand wasn't very present, I would have liked more insight in his thoughts and character.

Overall, it was a very lovely debut book.

This is a wonderful book that had me captivated. I couldn’t put it down.
Callie just wants her books published, that is her dream. She’s working as a flight attendant and she lives in San Francisco, California. On one of her layovers in Florida, she meets Anderson a wild night of partying and drinking. They have a night of great sex and she leaves without a word.
Callie later learns that she’s pregnant. Not sure what to do, she gets in touch with Andrew and she’s shocked when he wants the baby.
This story takes you on a journey where two strangers make a life changing decision that brings them closer together and build a relationship together.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It’s a great story that is very realistic and captivating. I recommend it to read.

This book was a happy surprise! I honestly didn’t know what to expect with this book but it let me on my toes and guessing the whole way through. It shows that Callie’s life isn’t going the way she had planned for it to go and how she deals with everything. She is trying to make the best out of a situation she never planned on being in. This may have ended up being the best thing to have ever happened to her even though not everything turned out how she had thought it would.

I really liked this book. I loved Callie and Andrew, though I wish we could see more of their relationship in the future. It was such a quick read and I enjoyed it so much. It was so good, but it did leave me wanting more. I would have liked to see more of a dynamic between Callie and her family. Or learn a little more about Andrew. Either way, I didn't put it down until it was done. I received a copy of this book through Voracious Readers in exchange for an honest review.

Flight Path – Lisa Wilkes – 3.5 stars
*Copy received from author in exchange for an honest review*

Flight Path is the first book I’ve read by new author Lisa Wilkes. This book is a refreshing contemporary romance that was an enjoyable read. Callie is the female lead and is carefree and living her best life, however, one-night changes everything. Andrew is the love interest of Callie and is sweet, caring and loyal. I found their chemistry more of a slow burn then an intense attraction but thoroughly enjoyed their story.

Callie is a flight attendant who is used to flying by the seat of her pants and taking Life as it comes. One layover and a chance meeting with Andrew changes her life in an unexpected way. Callie is a heroine that was unexpected and refreshing. She is career driven, open, honest and knows what she wants from life. Andrew is instantly attracted to Callie and wants to unravel her many secrets. When their one night together leads them down an unexpected path, he finds her even more alluring. He is a sweet, loyal and caring hero and one that is so left of field to the normal hero but in a good way.

Overall, I found this book an unexpected but enjoyable read and the plot intriguing and honest. I was unsure what to expect when I started out but thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend both Flight Path and Lisa Wilkes to any contemporary romance fan.

Enjoy Everyday,

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own. I enjoyed the look at the life of a flight attendant through this story, however, this book wasn't a win for me, unfortunately. Callie, the main character, found herself in what many would find to be an unfortunate situation. While I applaud her for making this situation work, I found some of what followed to be kind of unrealistic, in my opinion. I just had a hard time keeping myself engaged with the story and wanting to continue reading.
