As a good-looking Beta with a good family background, Duan Jiayan has lived a smooth sailing life for more than ten years, until he met Lu XingCi in high school.
Lu XingCi’s family situation is better than his, he is taller than him and plays basketball better than him. Needless to say, his grades are a whole tier above Duan JiaYan’s. Even his friends can’t help but occasionally praise Lu XingCi.

Quiero extender mis felicitaciones de mí a mí por terminar una novela luego de atravesar por el bloqueo lector más fuerte de mi vida. Felicidades, Ahn, felicidades. ❤️🩹
Si tuviese que describir mi experiencia leyendo esta novela, escribiría el siguiente escenario:
Estoy, como de costumbre, aplastada entre la multitud en el metro. En mis audífonos suena Fri(end)s de Kim Taehyung. Me cubro la boca, aguantándome unas buenas carcajadas, mientras llego a la conclusión: «A veces lo único que necesita una chica es un romance escolar ABO».
Desde mi perspectiva, lo más notable de esta historia es su protagonista omega, Duan Jiayan. Al leer la sinopsis, me imaginé a un personaje tímido, en conflicto con su nueva identidad. Mi cara fue un poema cuando lo vi arrastrando a un alfa por los pasillos de su escuela tras haberse burlado de él. PD. Ese alfa lo tenía más que merecido.
El romance fue bonito. Amaría que hubiesen incluido el 🚗 en la traducción en inglés. PD 2. Si alguien lo tiene, ¡qué me lo pase, por favor! Estoy muerta de la curiosidad.
Tal vez fue cosa mía —a lo mejor mi prisa por acabar y empezar una nueva historia—, pero los últimos capítulos sí que se sintieron largos.
En síntesis, recomiendo la I Like Your Pheromones si quieren algo tierno y ligero para pasar el rato. 3,5/5. 🌷💌

A friend recommended me to read this and since it is abo, why not? I will never turn down an omegaverse novel. Hehe.
Now, it’s the usual “beta turned omega” plot and “the alpha saves the day”. However, the omega isn’t the meek and weak kind even in front of the alpha which makes it interesting. It would be more interesting if it is an AB or AA couple though, but let’s leave that plot for a different novel.
The novel is quite light to read, very chill and cute. Pace was just right, not too slow and not too fast. Jiayan’s character is very adorable and humorous as well. There were several mentions of Haidilao which made me crave for Haidilao while reading. My favorite part would be the confession. It was simple, with no flowery words and very classic. I’d say this novel is good for reading as a pastime. Not one that would really stick to you but it doesn’t put me off either.
PS. The English translation doesn’t have any smut, but the there is a screenshot of the deleted smut scenes on weibo, which is really hot by the way, so if you can read Chinese, go check that out.

Picked this up knowing exactly what it was — and I enjoyed it. No complaints, just a heads-up: if you stripped Wait for Me After School of its angst and drama, added light omegaverse, and kept it PG-13, you’d get I Like Your Pheromones.
Fun? Yes.
Brain power? None used.
Skimmed the last 10 chapters + extras? Yep.
Recommend? Depends.

Ngl- fr😭, everyone think they could have all the fun in the world in their highschool days, and yeah, playing is still more fun than studying, but what if you didn't play and don't study! and then you regret it!?. But then you study, but don't regret it and still have more time play.
I love Duan Jiayan study development alot, went to not being smart, to achieving what he wanted to achieve, and the part where Lu Xingci realized it's cause he didn't want to lack behind or drag him behind that he decided to study harder, studying is not for everyone okey, but when you have a set goal of what you want to achieve you'll realize, it's not that bad.

Gu Li is a representation of us throughout the whole series, she's a die-hard fujoshi !! And she made every chapter she appears in amazing omds! )I bet she read Bl secretly🌚🤭

The part where she got Zhou Xingchen to borrow camera but ended up using the camera to film/snap our mc and ml was amazing, made me laugh hard!

Duan Jiayan, un beta rebelde y genial tiene un problema, todas las chicas a las que les ha puesto atención, terminan estando enamoradas de el alfa de su clase, Lu Xingci. está harto, lo piensa su enemigo mortal aunque el pelado ni lo pele, pero todo cambia cuando un día, Duan Jiayan descubre que su revelación fue tarde y es omega con un desorden de feromonas.
y para colmo el único aroma que no detesta es el de Lu Xingci 🚬
leer esta novela fue genial, los protagonistas me encantaron, Duan Jiayan puede ser lento pero no es estúpido ni tímido cuando quiere algo, como ha estado alejado de los dramas AO, cuando se convierte en O, no le toma demasiada importancia y aunque a veces lo mete en problemas, en realidad muestra que es posible convivir sin tantos prejuicios.
Lu Xingci es un caso genial de control JSJSJA el bro practicando el dicho de cocer bien la comida 🥸🚬 me gusta como se enamora de Duan Jiayan, tiene también su personalidad y cuando mi compa se propone cosas, sueña en grande. ya tenía planeada la boda JAJSJSJ
me encantó su relación, la forma en la que va evolucionando, me desesperó un poquitito antes de la confesión pero todo fue genial luego de eso, vivan los esposos, tienen tanta tensión súper bien manejada que casi se me marcaban las venas de aguantar la respiración. tristemente no hubo mucha ejecución, te odio censura y sé que no siempre es necesario, pero ahora sí q con todo respeto, prendían el boiler y ni se metían a bañar ✋😔
cómo siempre pasa en estos danmeis de vida escolar, logran poner ambiente melancólico para una etapa de mi vida que tengo re bloqueada y q no tuvo nada de cinematográfico
y aún así me hacen sentir envuelta en vientos de juventud y posibilidades. ojalá la prepa hubiera sido real ksjdjs
en fin, es cierto que se parece a WFMAS, con menos drama y fue justo mi talla para estos días de tranquilidad y desesperación.
la novela no fue suficiente, la necesito inyectada en las venas 👍

I love all things omegaverse so after reading a few chapters of the manhua I decided to read the novel version instead. The story uses the Beta turned Omega angle. What I like most about it is their relationship progress from enemies, to friends and then lovers. If I have one complaint it would be that the transition from friends to lovers didn’t really flow in a convincing way. I didn’t feel their emotions were on the same page and so it felt more like the MC gave into pressure and accepted his fate lol. I didn’t let it bother me too much and just continued to enjoy their interactions until the end.

What's going on? I keep finding these amazing Omegaverse novels and my summer reading list is long forgotten 😭.
Anyway, I enjoyed this greatly and practically devoured it in less than 48 hours. I'm not okay 😔.
It was fun, light-hearted, extremely sweet, and kind of erotic. The tension kept building up and it was killing me slowly!! Don't expect explicit sex scenes tho.
I have never felt so single but I don't regret it. Nobody compares with fictional characters either way.

Another day, another fictional couple makes me SO JEALOUS! TEASES! TOUCHES! HUGS! KISSES! EVERYWHERE!!! My physical touch love language is tingling and craving for some too😔✊🏼
The story tells about the MC, Duan Jiayan, the school delinquent, who is former a beta and later becomes a late-bloomer omega that makes he has alpha stress disorder, it's close to an allergy if he smells or senses alphas' pheromones everytime he's in a heat. He can't stand alphas' pheromones, except for the pheromones of the ML, Lu Xingci, the school genius prince(?) who kinda has a bad relationship with Duan Jiayan at first. This novel is a light read with less conflict (i guess?), any conflicts arising are solved immediately. The theme is ABOverse, but it has some differences with common ABOverse theme! All gender is treated equally. Alphas are not seen as someone so superior that could intimidate others and rule the world within their grasp, the ML himself is so gentle and respectful (especially towards the MC). Omegas are not seen as birth machine and weak creature, the MC himself can fight and beat up alphas that messing up with him. Though the alphas still have possessive side to their omega.
Definitely recommended for everyone who likes ML that very caring and loving towards a dense MC (in short it's sooooooo cute and warm pls read it)

If it weren't for the low translation quality nearing the end, it'll receive 5 star from me.
This novel is about Duan Jiayan who lived as a Beta all his life suddenly manifested as an Omega in his second year of high school. To make it worst, as a result of manifesting late he has an Alpha Stress disorder, a disorder which causes him to have rashes and allergic reaction whenever he is surrounded by Alpha pheromones. The only cure for this allergic reaction is by bathing in his classmate's- and also someone he despises, Lu Xingci's pheromones.
I knew I have a soft spot for Chinese webnovels and the same goes for this one. Chinese novels always have this magic of making readers feel home. I love this novel so much. It has the right amount of romance, tension, comedy and youth to it.
There's not a dull moment with Duan Jiayan's antics. I love Lu Xingci's character where he is a red flag in disguise. Although Alphas can be considered red flags expecially when they succumb to their instincts, Lu Xingci has great control over his desire and he put great consideration and respects Duan Jiayan's decision. He doesn't force, but he waits (strategically if course) and will back up instantly if the other refuses. And it's not only the main characters, the side characters are also likeable and has become and important part of the story.
The events in this novel are all that you would expect in high school setting. Exams, school festival, school trip, sports day etc. It's a very light hearted novel, very warm and fluffy. There's some slightly dark tones, but just very slightly and it's been smoothed out very quickly.
Because the translation quality dropped at the nearing end, I can't understand fully what happened but understand just the gist of it. I'm actually sad that it has come to an end. The journey of the characters, it felt like I've experienced it myself too. Althougb I binged read this for like around two days only, it feels like I've come a long way.
My hope for this novel is that it will be picked up and translate officiallu to English one day. I'd definitely buy it!

i was already expecting to see a flower covering duans face frfr BUT I DIDNT THINK NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN FOR EIGHTYEIGHT CHAPTERS?????
bro confession at like chap 53, thought there would be a cycle, BUT NO, and lowk valid i get that but OH AND THERE WAS A CYCLE FOR THE 攻, BUT HE WANTED HUGS? WHAT IS HE A CHILD? and sen chil or whatever his name was was making the 攻's cycle to be TERRIFYING and it was so anticlimatic like bruh dont pmo.
but even so, the 攻 was INFINITLEY more likeable than the 受, cus wym u REJECTED HIM with no good reason at all. like who CARES if he only likes you cus u presented isnt that like the whole point ungrateful ahh

No doubt this novel was full of fluff. There was lots of chasing by ML, and MC x ML didn't get together until about 60% of the book.
There were also humor, and the interactions in the book were pretty funny.
Somehow, I felt that the writing was abit off... I read the novel through the recommended translators on NU. It's not perfect but it was still 85% quality. At the beginning, there was a bombardment of names with no explanation of relationships which irked me. It got really confusing and you have to refer back to earlier texts.
MC is a late bloomer Omega with a good physical stats. Unlike most ABO novels. Additionally, there isn't any fantasy background (superpowers, interstellar), just school life. There isn't much antagonist in the novel... just one?
For me, it felt abit slow-burn/ build. The pace was pretty slow and got a little draggy.

Auuu I loved this so much!! Lu Xingci is down so bad for Duan Jiayan, he really takes such good care of his boyfriend.
Lu Xingci really is the biggest jar of vinegar, so possessive of his little bf, luckily djy is pretty much the same. They really are made for each other.

Duan JiaYan é sem dúvidas um personagem forte, não se deixando levar por estereótipos de ômega e isso é bom sabe? ele é conhecido como delinquente do colégio e ele se defende muito bem em lutas. [1.0]
na história há leis que protegem os ômegas contra abuso e violência e isso foi algo que eu ainda não tinha visto na dinâmica ABO, então foi uma surpresa agradável. [0.8]
mas as questões de possesividade e controle me deixou desconfortável e é difícil dizer se as relações são consentidas pois Duan JiaYan está sempre sobre o efeito dos feromonios alfa e deixa mais de uma vez frases que dão a entender que ele não quer se submeter ou fugir daquilo. talvez seja da tradução, mas ficou um consentindo duvidoso e isso me deixou desculpa para ler. 3.5/5. The first half was really enjoyable, I sped through it really fast and translations were good and thorough. I liked all the iconic tropes the author included in the book that got me literally smiling so widely. I have to say, near the last half of the book, it really felt like lxc was forcing himself on djx, using his pheromones to get what he wants and djx can't retaliate if he wanted to. Also the part where djx confesses is really random, because there was barely any build up to his feelings, so it seemed like he just said he liked lxc just to say it? Anyway, lxc's lust threw me off a lot, it seemed like whenever they were together, all lxc could think about was touching djx.

I definitely preferred the beginning and the end, the middle sort of fell short in comparison and had a couple lull’s.
Everyone had an equal amount of likability and for me no one really stood out as a fave but it was okay.
I do wish that when djy confessed to him we got an internal monologue of him realizing he was falling for lxc. I think that would’ve added to the sweetness of the story as well.

This was a fun and wholesome story… not with a complicated storyline, but a very simple one with charismatic characters and a Beta protagonist that turns into an omega, but that could easily passed like and alpha… he is actually the school tyrant… so this is pretty much a nice story that I would called a cleanser one… those that we choose to read when we just finish an overwhelmed book… it’s nice, soft and pretty to ease the soul 🤭

I read this as a break, short and sweet, so I didn't expect more than fluff and comedy. It was ok, very cute! I didn't know it was ABO and it kinda confused me at times as I had never ventured into this world lol. I definitely asked myself quite a lot of times why did I even decide to read this, but in a funny kind of way.

I got half way through this book before I realized that it probably wasn't worth reading, but at that point I had sunk like 5 hours of my life (it's a hefty one!) into it so I persevered to the end. It probably wasn't the wisest move, the book overall was rather meh and the romance just didn't interest me.

The beginning was fine but once they got together I got bored and I've paused reading it for five months now and I don't even remember much of the beginning. I don't want to slog through the rest so I'm just going to drop it at chapter 58.
