Born and raised in Colorado into a family of ranchers and cowboys, B.N. Rundell is the youngest of seven sons. Juggling bull riding, skiing, and high school, graduation was a launching pad for a hitch in the Army Paratroopers. After the army, he finished his college education in Springfield, MO, and together with his wife and growing family, entered the ministry as a Baptist preacher. Together, B.N. and Dawn raised four girls that are now married and have made them proud grandparents. With many years as a successful pastor and educator, he retired from the ministry and followed in the footsteps of his entrepreneurial father and started a successful insurance agency, which is now in the hands of his trusted nephew. He has also been a successful audiobook narrator and has recorded many books for several award-winning authors. Now finally realizing his life-long dream, B.N. has turned his efforts to writing a variety of books, from children’s picture books and young adult adventure books, to the historical fiction and western genres which are his first love.
I confess I acquired this book for its specially low price without looking at its contents assuming it contained short Western stories. What a pleasant surprise to find five full length, good Christian books, all well worth reading. My only criticism is that is a very few cases profanity was included that could well have been omitted. That seemed oddly unwelcome for "Christian" books. Otherwise I recommend all five and what a bargain for a cheapskake like me!
I had previously read Willow Way but found the other short stories to be interesting. Veijo and the Ranger had surprising and interesting twist. I found the story of Billy Ray to be interesting, compelling and amusing as a young man is converted and heroically saves other while preaching the gospel as he understood it. Mac's Way was also an story of courage, compassion and endurance.
Each of these stories were interesting and provided an interesting collection to entertain, enlighten and provide compassion in faith in the worst of circumstances.
I had previously read Willow Falls and Mac's Way and these books are the best of the set and they alone are worth getting the set. I did not care for To keep a promise , Billy Ray or the Good Neighbor as they simpily di not appeal to me. Viejo and the Ranger is not a bad book but Willow Way and Mac's Way are the cream of the crop.
This is a collection of full length westerns that are full of adventure, murder, robbery and more all things that went on in the old west. Great writing. I just found more authors I want to read more from. Great job guys!
I thought each story was unique and though I liked the last one best they were all entertaining. it was amazing to see people just up and go west taking all they could but with your family it is especially great.
Tremendous series. Seems that much of the time you felt part of the book within the series. Interesting In the variations between each book story lines as well. Well done,
Great read love these stories. I f you are looking for some really good books here they are. I really loved that the writers grab your attention and don't let go. thanks for an awesome read.
