Rate this book
After defeating the son of his enemy, Zedo Jeta is trying to pick up the pieces and live his life, but the government that turned him into a super human (a person with special powers) won't let him be.

After falling into a coma in 1990, Zedo woke after 30 years and discovered that he could not only control the elements, but also fly, manipulate the weather, and read people’s minds.

While seeking revenge against the man responsible, Dr. Burton, Zedo realized that perhaps he was destined for something more than the life he'd been forced to live.

Now joined by new companions, Zedo is off on a new adventure that's going to change his life forever. From the United States to Madagascar and everywhere in between, Zedo is about to see that the world is filled with beings from across the stars.

Now is the time for Zedo to fight for the present, redeem his past, and prepare for his future. Now is the time for mysteries to unfold…

Well, this is it, my last review of the year (of the decade!) so lets have at it

Much like the first book, Unfolding Mysteries has a lot of superhero action sequences. You will have your superhuman's displaying their inherited abilities in the public eye where they are generally seen as pariahs and heavily misunderstood, even when they're using their powers to help others. In a nutshell, all good deeds get punished is the theme that is portrayed here.

I liked the beginning where there is a huge reveal about one particular character. And of course the surprise attack in the airport which left me reeling due to the sheer scope of what ensued before and after the attack. One thing I liked about this book is that it mirrors our world in a way. By that I mean in the book, the world is in this post-superhuman era where anyone with superhuman abilities are often seen as a threat to the greater world. I liked seeing the politics play out on how the world deals with the fallout of dealing with such individuals.

As always, Zedo and his gang of friends are on their usual mayhem quest, only this time they face an ever greater enemy than the one from the first book.

All in all, I enjoyed this superhero book just as much as the first.

As the author I'm a little biased, but Unfolding Mysteries is just a wild ride! Book 2 of the 'Across the Stars' Series picks up right where book 1 left off.

Filled with thrills, shocking revelations, tons of action, and new friends and villains, Unfolding Mysteries finds our hero, Zedo, growing in ways he never imagined.
Enjoy this novel and let me know what you think!
Book 3 of the series is coming in 2020!

loved the cover! great action and the plot was fast paced. the new additions to the team were interesting and the story was engaging. nothing seemed to fall flat this time. definitely a fan of the series now. looking forward to the next book.
only feedback I have is that I wish there'd been more on the war.

An improvement from the first book. The characters felt flushed out and I loved who zedo ended up with. the book was fast paced and gripping and it all seemed to flow nice. the cover was what did it for me though. it's stunning.
only had an issue with how a lot of the supporting characters from book 1 seemed to take a back seat to new characters.
still it seems that this isn't the end so I look forward to the next book

Really enjoyed this sequel. There were a few twists and turns and had some slow points but overall it was good. The character development progressed and the action parts were well written. definitely loved the airport scene.
only thing that would've made it better would have been if mona had more of an ending and more of a presence. it felt kind of like a let down how that turned. would've liked to have seen more of the war too
