Rose bezit al het grootste deel van haar leven de gave van profetie en heeft manieren gevonden om met de flitsen van vooruitziendheid die haar kwellen om te gaan. Jeff heeft deze gave pas enkele maanden en heeft Rose's hulp nodig om deze te beheersen. Hij ziet haar in zijn toekomst en zet zijn plan in werking, wetende dat er een vijand onderweg is die het op hen beiden heeft gemunt.

Jeff is lang, sexy en heeft iets mysterieus over zich. Ze heeft haar profetische gaven niet nodig om te weten dat dat problemen betekent. Natuurlijk is hij precies het soort problemen waar ze naar verlangt in haar leven. Wanneer hij op haar werk verschijnt, stemt ze ermee in om koffie met hem te drinken, maar als schurken het plaatselijke winkelcentrum onder vuur nemen om hen te pakken te krijgen, volgt ze haar instinct en accepteert ze zijn ontsnappingsroute... recht in zijn wachtende armen.
Een geheime basis en een geheime eenheid...
Rose ontdekt allerlei dingen waarvan ze nooit had gedroomd. Onder vuur weggehaald naar een geheime militaire basis, krijgt ze een baan aangeboden waarbij ze Jeff moet helpen meer te leren over zijn pas verworven gave. Maar wanneer de vijand de eilandbasis aanvalt, vraagt ze zich af of zij er is om Jeff te helpen, of is het eigenlijk andersom? Hoe dan ook, ze ontdekt een diepe en gevaarlijke liefde voor de soldaat die bijna op het eerste gezicht haar hart stal. Kunnen ze vechten voor een plek waar hun liefde kan bloeien, of zijn ze gedoemd nog voordat ze beginnen? Zelfs Rose kan die toekomst niet zien...

Close your eyes and see
We might have had a hint, in the first book, that this series was part of the tales of the were, but the author hit us with the broad part of her pen in this book. There are so many layers and little twists to the story where you can see possibilities and facts. Only the mother of all, that would be the author in this case, knows what will happen in the future, but in the present she gave us these characters who have grown and evolved through the story and just seem to grab you by the heartstrings. I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds for them in their battle for the light. I can only imagine that it’s going to be epic.

Jeff has had a vision he needs to protect a women with psychic ability. Rosie knows some guy is coming to protect her from bad men so she ready when he comes into the store. But he want to take her somewhere public to talk. But while there the bad guys track them that’s when Jeff lets Rosie know about the other in the coffee shop that are part of his team and there to get them to safty. Once they are safe Rosie is asked to help Jeff to hone his skills. But they have a joint vision where the bad guys try to invade their island. So enjoy another great read from this author in this on going series !!

Loved this read
So my suspicions may have been right about this unit of warriors given special powers. How cool. I got a totally pleasant surprise when Kincaid showed up in this story. I still am trying to figure out what other power if any Rosie has. The little scene with the prisoner and her trapping him in human form. Don't think she even realized what she's done. Loved that Jeff and Rosie could see the same visions and work together. Can't wait to jump into the next book. A friend in need.

Happy, Happy Dance!!!
WOW! I was wondering when the 2nd book in this series would come out. It has been awhile and I almost gave up, but glad I didn’t. I really was surprised to see the Grizzly Cove,
Gift of the ancients and Tales of the Were coming together. The author is doing an amazing job pulling these characters and the different series together. Love this authors stories!!

A Interesting New Hookup with Her Bear Series
It has taken the first 2 books of this series to begin developing. By the end of this book,the second book in the Gift of the Ancients Series, the blending of her prior series has made it more interesting. I recommend to give this series a chance I think it could get very interesting!

Easy 5 stars!
I’m a huge fan of this author, and have read nearly all her books. The thing I love most about them is how intertwined they are. This story focused on Rose and Jeeves, but contained characters that are widely mentioned in her other stories. I LOVED seeing learning more about the active duty military shifters that are alluded to in her other books.

Wow what a fun read
I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed this book. Even though things fell into place pretty quickly, it was completely believable as those kinds of things can happen in very intense situations such as these. I am slowly getting to know all the members of this unit and I cannot wait to read about more of them. I hope they all find their happily ever after

A really good story and I LOVED seeing it weave into the Tales of the Were HUGE series that this author has made her star... Can't wait to read the rest of the series now.
