Can you claim your future while holding onto the past?

Moping over her ex’s updated relationship status, Quen decides a solo road trip is exactly what she needs. Unfortunately, her hunk of junk car has other plans and leaves her stranded on the side of the interstate.

Steaming from a failed business deal, Drew takes a drive in his classic convertible to cool off when fate lands him directly in Quen’s path. A little polite conversation, mixed with a slathering of flirting, and the sexy billionaire offers her a lift.

What follows is an eclectic adventure that will change their lives forever.

The Stay-Hi Café.
An outdoor junk exhibit.
A strawberry festival.
A “cockroach” motel.
Each stop brings them closer together and leaves both wishing the journey didn’t have to end.

As Quen begins to wonder if a future with Drew is possible, real life bursts in to monopolize his time. And the obstacles don’t stop there. Not one, but two men from Quen’s past swoop in, hell-bent on winning her. Can Quen recapture her magic summer by following her heart back to Drew in California? Or will self-doubt convince her that her heart is safer at home?

Born and raised in The Motor City, TK now enjoys little or no winters in the Carolinas. By day, she's a spreadsheet whiz and frequent flyer. By night, she lives for keeping her loyal readers on the edge of their seats with steamy tales of happily ever after.

3.5 STARS!!!
This was a light, sweet and steamy romance read. It was a good read and there were things I liked and disliked about the story. For me, this is the type of book that will get you through a rainy day. I enjoyed Quen and Drew characters but I do wish that I felt a deeper chemistry between the two. There was attraction but I was missing that deep connection, especially near the end of the story. I could have had less of Quen's whining and I couldn't believe how fast she forgave Jake. It was too fast and too soon for me. I absolutely loved Sam. I wish he was more involved in the story because he was entertaining and funny. He's the type of character that makes you smile. The ending was sweet and Drew's little secret was actually a surprise. This is my first book from this author and it won't be my last.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and boy I’m glad I did because I did not have patience to wait for my pre-ordered copy. Another great read from TK Cherry. This one sucked me in but for different reasons than the other books I’ve read by her. I liked the premise and was into the story, it helped that I had already been into it before it became a full length story. The only things that kept me from giving it 5 stars were the whining of the MFC and the fact that in some parts, I just felt like Quen and Drew could’ve had more chemistry between them. However, I did find it quite interesting that there were 3 main male characters and the ensuing drama kept me quite entertained. I did enjoy the journey and I did think the story was very sweet. Overall, a great weekend read.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book and let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. Quen and Drew have such a strong chemistry that everyone saw it long before they did. Quen still had her feelings so wrapped up in the Snake and the bullshitter that she didn't even realize that Drew had feelings for her too. Drew was so wrapped up in work and being a mircromanager that he never acted on it. They both knew they loved their time and each other but other things plagued their mind and Quen needed to have her dreams come through to see what she really wanted. Loved this and never wanted to put it down.

I have been waiting for this book to come out ever since TK Cherry’s One-Shot. The complete story was even better than I could have imagined. I personally resonated with Quen which had me hooked from the beginning. Drew’s charm and protectiveness leaves you wanting more. Quen doesn’t realize her worth if even multiple men come out to tell her. There are moments where you want to yell at both Quen & Drew that you are on the edge of your seat wanting more. Always hoping for more from this writer.

Good weekend read

I'm on the fence about a lot about this book and that's what floors me after reading it. I came into this already loving what I'd read before so I had high expectations. I just couldn't understand Quen or her mindset. She was just too all over the place all the time and she didn't even try and fight for what her heart wanted even though Drew finally got a clue and was trying to make an effort to make things right with her. Her choices were not unlike a toddler clinging to a safety blanket. It's beautifully written as all of her works are I just couldn't lose myself in this one at all or get a feel for their love story as it's more like a love I don't even think you can call it a triangle when it's three not two trying to win her over, and I tried my hardest to love it. I ended up not really liking Quen for most of it. I did love the supporting Characters though, especially Sam. It's a nice weekend read though.

I've always loved TK's work and this is no exception. I was slightly apprehensive about reading it at first because I knew I would be sad to see it end, but the epilogue was perfect!

What I love most is the dialogues between the characters in TK's stories. They're always smooth, down-to-earth, and easy to follow. It's definitely a fun and lighter read than On the Other Side. Strongly recommended!

What a GREAT book!! California Love is a beautifully written stand-alone and makes the perfect Sunday read. It is filled with sweet summer romance and a perfect HEA. I loved Quen and Drew and how they were brought together; disaster turned time of their lives. For a hot minute, I thought maybe summer fling was all they’d have, then BOOM! Fight for your woman man :)

Overall this was a great read and I’ve already recommended multiple friends give it a read.

Loved this story!

This is Drew and Quen’s story. Quen just got out of a long relationship and decides to escape to her besties dads beach house in California from Oregon. She breaks down and decides that instead of going back hone she’s gonna hitchhike. She meets Drew along the way. Chemistry bubbles between them and everything is good until obstacles get in their way. Will they stay together or will things and people tear them apart? Find out! You won’t be disappointed!

I absolutely loved Quen and Drew’s story! Their chemistry was amazing! A chance meeting has Quen and Drew stopping to smell the roses and sightsee. And realize they can’t stand being apart even though it takes a little bit for them to get it together! I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend reading this!

A sweet easy read!

A chance meeting for Quen and Drew became more as their adventure begins. This was a sweet and steamy romance read, the characters had chemistry and attraction but wasn't as intense as I would like. Overall a good storyline with a sweet ending. My first read by the author and it did not disappoint.

Quen and Drew’s story is a well written story which is humorous, steamy and an all-round sweet read. I was hooked throughout however, the only downside in my opinion only, is that the story was a bit disjointed in parts. I look forward to reading more from this author.

3rd book but didn’t feel like I needed to read the other 2.

Nice quick read that got me through a couple of spare hours over the festive period.

Going to go back and read the rest in the series now.

The first half was very engaging. It was well written and the steam and sizzle between our main leads was fantastic however the second half wasn't as much to my taste. I started really disliking both leads by the end and almost wish the tale had ended with that first half.

From FanFiction to Novel

Great Read! I read this when it was originally a fanfiction, and then it grew into a full fledged novel. I thinks great because I wanted more and TK has given it to me and all of her other fans. Great writer, keep it coming. If anyone hasn't read any of her fanfiction, then you need to go on fanfiction.net and read some of the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy. TK'S stories on there are one of my favorites. This has truly been one of the best books that I have read.
