The Absolutely USELESS Guide to... Self-Help

Rate this book
Are you struggling with work, finding it difficult to love yourself, and overwhelmed by everything life is throwing at you? Then this book is ABSOLUTELY not for you.

On the other hand, if you’re sick of the clichés and fake motivation nonsense that almost every self-help guide spews, then look no further.

From a wannabe entrepreneur’s blog to a scam artist’s Ted Talk, this book takes aim at the generic self-help guides that are dominating the non-fiction shelves of every bookshop. Whether you want a laugh or you want reassurance that nobody has a clue what they’re talking about, this is the book for you!

The guys are back again with another enlightening book that's entertaining and somewhat useful. I mean common sense would dictate that you should know most of these things, but perhaps common sense is overrated. Okay, highly overrated in some segments of the population. However, I will tell you that the three authors of this book are back to take us through another useless guide of things important to the world: SELF-HELP!

This book was easy-to-read, fun, crazy, and humorous. If you have an opportunity, read about the insights of the two Seans and then David's insights into editing. However, the winner in this SELF-HELP guide is Jason Blade. As useless goes, the advice was somewhat important when considering revenge. I don't want to spoil the fun of the book. Nor should potential readers want me to ruin it for you.

You need a laugh right now? Get this book, but be prepared to learn things that might be more useful than you would imagine. I can't wait for the next useless guide these three come up with.

I was expecting satire, a joke book mocking self-help books. Something along the lines of "life sucks so why try?" but instead there is chapter after chapter of great advice on how you have to do things yourself, you have no one to blame but yourself, stop making excuses....you can do whatever you need to do. Everything from publishing a book to owning up to your mental health. I love , " Nowadays it's not enough to just be healthy in your body but you have to be healthy in you mind as well." SPOT ON! Positive Vibes exist because of the Big Bang. Really so much to love in this "not a self-help-book". Will be great to gift 2020 graduates.

Sorry no thanks.
I read for two reasons; either to be educated or engrossed in a story.
Unfortunately this did neither. It seems to me to be like rap. The message maybe there but you have to listen to much jibber jabber first. It was difficult to u derstand where this book was going, if anywhere.

I received this book in return for an honest review. Firstly I want to apologise. I loathe leaving negative reviews. The only good thing I can say about this book is it lives up to its title. I thought it might be humourous but it wasn't. A total waste of my time.

This one was a too-good-but-too-short-authors-needs-to-write-a-longer-version-soon-to-satisfy-my-hunger.
This one will definitely not bore you,the funny take on the self help industry's cliches were spot on.

I think the spark that it lacked was the absence of any illustrations,a bit of drawing razzle dazzle, accompanied with funny graphs would have compeleted it. Nonetheless if I find a physical copy I would absolutely buy it!

Thank you to VORACIOUSREADERSONLY and author for suggesting and sending me a free e-copy of this book in an exchange for honest review.
