– Kas tu? – paklausė mažasis princas. – Tu labai graži... – Aš lapė, – atsakė lapė. – Eikš, pažaisk su manimi, – pasiūlė jai mažasis princas. – Man taip liūdna... – Aš negaliu žaisti su tavimi. Aš neprijaukinta, – pasiteisino lapė. – Ak!
Skaičiau vaikui (beveik 5 metų), tad būta trijų jaukių vakarų kartu su Mažojo Princo kelione po planetas. “Štai mano paslaptis. Ji labai paprasta: matai tik širdimi. Akimis esmės nepamatysi.” *** ir nors esmės akimis nepamatysi, labai gražios leidyklos “nieko rimto” leidimo iliustracijos.
It's one of those books that should be read by everyone at least twice - once as a child, to enjoy the story and let your imagination flow and second time - as an adult to let it all sink in and understand things that a child might not.
And I really recommend this edition. Yes, it's huge, but it's so lovely! The graphics are adorable and perfectly fitting.
"Here's my secret. It's very simple: one sees clearly only with the heart. The essential is invisible to the eye." - The Fox
Albeit looking like a children's book, this is far from it - a moving piece of prose about what is important in life, the correct perspective to be maintained, and what not to lose while growing up. A work that deeply moved me and would require a number of re-reads to gain more insight.
This particular edition is wonderfully illustrated in full color with full page and insert illustrations. Despite having purchased it, my sister coveted it almost immediately after seeing it, so...

A timeless beauty.
I don't want to say much about this book but I want to persuade someone who is lost to read this. Sometimes, growing up consumes up our souls without realizing it. The Little Prince taught me to not depend your happiness based on what you rule, what you have, what you see and hear. Depend your happiness to those who you truly love. That is the YOLO we should have right here!
Well, I agree to the Little Prince. Grown-ups are very strange for taking everything seriously. Do not ever forget that we were once a child--so pure, full of determination and that is our real identity we should not lose above all. Will surely reread this! 🤗
Kira-kira, setelah menjinakkan rubah, Little Prince bertemu siapa saja ya?
This book, while very beautifully illustrated, loses some of the magic of the original. It is worth reading, I think, but if you are reading The Little Prince (in English) for the first time, then you really should seek out the Wood's translation with the original, in color, pictures to get the full effect of the book. Unfortunately, that version is out of print, so you may have some issues finding it (however, it was the most widely circulated one until 2001, so you may have some luck in used bookstores!)
But in terms of this version, it was nice. It, again, doesn't possess some of the magic of the original, but the drawings were very beautiful, if totally different than the original artwork. It has a unique, dreamlike quality, which both the illustrations and the translation seem to turn their focus on. However, I sorta feel that if this is the only version that you read, you maybe wouldn't really "get" what people love about The Little Prince.
This translation by Valeria Manferto De Fabianis is not as poetic as Kathrine Wood's translation, but it is not as modern as Richard Howard's version. As far as I could tell it was a solid translation, with no/very few questionable choices.
So, in conclusion, if you are a fan of the original book, this is worth checking out. It's fun, bright illustrations will captivate you. But if this is your first time reading the story I would recommend the original version.
My first hardcopy book of The Little Prince. Read the ebook one long time ago but confused of the point and the plot. I don't know if the illustrations help but I understand the story more after reading this version. The illustrations are so pretty. And I think this one is directed more for grown-ups rather than for kids.
I reread this when being an adult is too much for me such as the past days. This edition heals an inner child part of me. It’s a big storybook-like with colorful full page illustrations.
The little prince menjadi simbol kanak-kanak yang suci, selalu penasaran, dan menggemaskan.
This book is like a warm hug for your soul. It's not just a story; it's a journey that makes you think about life, love, and all that good stuff.
First off, the writing is beautiful. It's like reading poetry, but with a story attached. The author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, has this magical way of painting pictures with words, making every page feel like a work of art.
The story itself is simple yet deep. It follows a pilot who meets a little boy from another planet, and their conversations touch on some big questions about existence and what it means to truly see and understand the world around us.
One thing I love about this book is how it speaks to people of all ages. Whether you're a kid or a grown-up, there's something in here for you. It reminds us to hold on to our sense of wonder and curiosity, even when life gets busy and complicated.
And let's not forget about the little nuggets of wisdom sprinkled throughout. Seriously, you could highlight a quote on every page and it would still feel like you're only scratching the surface of what this book has to offer.
In a nutshell, "The Little Prince" is like a warm cup of tea on a chilly day – comforting, thought-provoking, and impossible to put down once you start. So if you haven't read it yet, do yourself a favor and dive in. You won't regret it.
Baca. Seengaknya sekali dalam seumur hidup.
When I'm going through a reading slump or feeling confused, sad, hopeless, frustrated, angry, or just plain gloomy, I always turn to this book. Little Prince never fails to bring me peace, offer a sense of safety, & provide comfort. It's my ultimate go-to when I need some comfort reading.
Actually I need about 3 days to finish this book. Ini buku The Little Prince kedua yang kubaca. Yang pertama berbahasa Indonesia, not illustrated.
