Loved it!!!!! Author knows how to write humor & awesome characters who sizzle off the page!
Everyone should have a Paige in their lives - and a Noah most definitely!
Highly recommend! Safe. No dramalama. No OW/OM or intimate scenes with anyone else. Lot's and lots of humor though and a sweet romance but this is a PG type of read. (aka no sex scenes or fondling 😁). Emphasis is on the relationship development of these two which is great but my only complaint is that I wished author had added some sexy times as I like some spice in my romances..... Still, this will be a re-read for me for sure!

My breath caught as the familiar wave of nausea swept over me: the pain, the swelling, the weakness in my limbs. The feelings I had experienced at twelve were washing over me as if I had been bitten again. The realization of how close I’d come to death was sinking in.
“She killed the legend. What are we going to do?” Someone whispered loudly.
The suit-man turned and locked eyes with me. He stepped between the snake and me, his sympathetic eyes searching mine. He gave me a reassuring nod. “It’s dead.”
I would have to marry him someday.
“Come with me.” The man exclaimed as he stalked toward me. His serious face looked as though it had been carved out of granite. Okay, I was rethinking my immediate marriage plans. I never handled angry people very well.
His low gravelly voice had me turning to follow him to the cart. I stopped next to it, realizing I was following a stranger and about to climb into a golf cart with him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled out a lollypop from his pocket and bribed me with it. Trust me, though; I’m not that easy. I wouldn’t settle for anything less than a caramel apple pop.
What’s your name?”
“Page Boone.” She shifted in her seat and glanced around the office. Her eyes took in every detail.
“How did you get here?”
Her eyes settled on me, and she pursed her lips. “Well, my parents loved each other very much—and when two people love each other—”
What brought you to The Garden today?”
“Actually, my aunt and uncle brought me. I tried to get out of it, but the restaurant staff wasn’t very helpful.”
“So, you didn’t even want to be here, but you killed our mascot anyway?”
“Never come between a woman and her golf ball. He was blocking me out. How was I supposed to beat Uncle Mike if I didn’t hit it? It was like forty-luv.”

I had to pre-order this book, because I liked the first two (one and a half?) books in the series so much. The meet-cute was hilarious, though I was a bit surprised that there wasn't any friend-zoning going on, because of the title. I think that was just to differentiate it from the others, which were more along the lines of enemies-to-lovers. This one is an opposites attract, and it was fun to see another member of the crazy Boone family sweep in and find love- only Page finds it in the form of a clean-cut business man. At first, there didn't seem to be any obstacles between them, but that was because they were all lingering under the surface...
And then, that epilogue. It wins the funniest epilogue in the world award. My poor, sweet Hagen...
If you like clean rom-coms like me, you'll adore this book, this series, and this author.

I definitely think this series is becoming one of my favorites! I love all the characters so much!! Page and Noah were soo adorable and I absolutely loved how we got to see a little bit of Kylie and Hagen because I just love those two SO MUCH 🥹 (I literally had the biggest smile on my face when they appeared in the story…)
Noah was such a sweetheart and Page was just absolutely amazing—I love her craziness and kindness. This book was also so funny (literally had me laughing out loud) I loved all the interactions and conversations between Noah & Page 🫶🏻
ALSO THE CHICKEN, THE GOAT, AND THE GECKOS: HAHA!! Noah is very lucky to have Page around if you ask me😂😂
I absolutely can not wait for the next book, especially since it’s Mack’s story 😆

Ok, so anyone that knows me knows I’m overly generous with my stars (this is no exception), and hardly ever write reviews, but here it goes..
I’m SO confused. Did I buy the first draft that she accidentally published?! There are so many typos INCLUDING one in the very last line of the book. There are literally two sentences where it’s like the author wanted to go back and finish her thought and never did. There’s no punctuation or anything.
The story had so much potential. There are definitely some cute and funny parts. I can appreciate that Page was still finding herself, but the “conflict” in this book just made her seem even more childish, immature and needy. I don’t know.. maybe some spice would have helped. The ending was rather abrupt and there were plot holes that would have been easy to fix. The Kent character— dude, why is he given so much grace when he’s clearly toxic?
There’s not nearly enough context for the family dynamics.
Also, they were never friends, so the title makes zero sense. I’m just glad the book was a super quick read, but now I’m nervous to read the other books of hers I already bought. The first two tricked me I guess.

Have I ever told you guys that I hate insta-love? Well, if not, here we are. I'm sure someone somewhere will like this book, but the romance didn't match the character's personality. I loved the character's personalities, but they did not make sound decisions. Another personal pet peeve if you guys didn't angrily announce you love each other after the breakup, are you actually in love?

Not my favorite
I loved the first book in this series and really liked the second. This one really didn't do it for me though. I liked Page well enough and I like Noah well enough but I wasn't invested enough in either of them to care enough about what happened to them throughout the novel. I also think the story might have done better as a novella as after 60% it started to drag. In fact around 65% I called it quits and skimmed through the rest. That isn't to say that you won't l like it, there was a very funny moment that had me laughing so hard I was in tears and the romance was sweet. This one just want for me. Three stars

This is a fun and entertaining story with strong,likable characters in Page and Noah. The author does a great job bringing the story to life with her descriptive scenes and laugh out loud moments. It's a realistic story with the two continuing working at their relationship and building a forever love. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

This was such a fun read once I started reading it I just did not want to put it down I just loved Page and Noah they were great characters so different from each other but they just work and their friend they were so much fun as well I would recommend this book it was a wonderful addition to the series.

Did Page make an entrance or what? I love the characters in this one, not just Page and Noah, but their friends and coworkers. Lots of laughs, cute moments and... animals. 'Friends like These' is fresh, zany, and puts the extra in extraordinary. 5 stars!

Get ready for outlandish pranks, numerous laughs, and relatable characters—this book has it all!
Carina Taylor always entertains and this book was no different. The characters were so different (one off the wall crazy and another calm and collected) but lovable in their own ways and their romance was so fun to follow. It was nice to read about two people who didn’t have it all together and who needed to work at their relationship so it didn’t grow stagnant— because that’s REAL love!
The twists and turns in the plot were relatable and the ending was SO satisfying and cute!
Clean romance with some passionate kissing and a couple innuendos.

Friends Like These is the final book in the A Love Like This series. You finally get to see Page’s story! Page is the cousin of Kylie who is the main character in the first book. She’s crazy, fun loving, and the complete opposite of straight laced Noah. But, after Page accidently ruins Noah’s main golf attraction, she’s determined to save his business. But Noah’s determined to make sure Page stays after she does.
Friends Like These was such an amazing read! I actually read this before I read Neighbors Like That, but I still loved reading about Noah and Page. Page is hilarious, and her crazy ideas are some of the best parts of the book. Even from the beginning, you can see her personality shine through. For example, she sends notes to the kitchen staff begging them to save her from her day of golf with her aunt and uncle. Or how she insists on calling Noah’s employee Clark because his name is Kent. I also like how you got to see more of her personality in this book. While she is a crazy, fun-loving person, she also has the same insecurities that a lot of people share. And I loved how Noah helped her see she didn’t need to be insecure at all😍.

I think that the conflict was actually realistic which was nice because sometimes it just feels so forced. And I really liked how the Boone cousins helped solve it!
In Neighbors Like That, you meet Jenny and Mack who also appear in this book. They are hilarious! And they have plenty of opinions on how Noah should get Page back. Kylie and Hagen make quite a few appearances, but Trey and Marla are not really in this book. Overall though this was such a great read. It is also very clean in both the romance and violence section.

(4.5 stars) - A modern madcap comedy
In some ways, despite the lack of a psychotic killer, this is even more zany than "Neighbors Like That"
Accept before you start that Page is a little bit off the wall & that the beginning of the story is a little bizarre (though you really do have to appreciate Page's golf swing), and then just roll with it.
Page is almost like a terrorist except that you can't help but like her nearly pathological enthusiasm for life. Which I guess is kind of the opposite of terrorism. So maybe she's more like a hyper puppy.
It's certainly one of the most unconventional romances I've ever read. But even as I was shaking my head, I couldn't stop reading, & literally laughed out loud at times.
There's a moment when Page made a decision that led me to go "What? No way", and it was funny because it was as if the author knew I was going to object & arranged for her secondary characters to essentially explain it to me/the reader. Then I sat back and said "Ok, I actually can see it when you put it like that. Now what?". At which point she answered thru her characters again. And oh what a fun resolution!
It's not perfect - there were still a few moments that seemed too much or to go too far - but with each of her books the author is fine tuning the level of hilarity that stays relatively believable & doesn't swamp the plot. I'm eager to read what she does next!

This book was something else. It was kind of like an instant love. For my liking, I rather have a starting build up with a little bit of slow burn.
Page was definitely unique. She is strong, she says what is on her mind, doesn't let anyone step on her. As she was described, she has "pragmatic honesty". Noah was cute, I liked that he knew he liked her from the start. Their chemistry was really good from the beginning. I liked how creative and artistic Page was.
However, I felt that sometimes Page was a little too self absorbed. I felt that sometimes in her need to try to fix things, she didn't stop to think if that was the best option for the others. She just did it because she wanted to do it. And I liked the drive, but was unsure of it.
I did felt Noah got used to Page's straightforwardness that he lacked a little in initiating the affection. Although there were some decisions that made me almost pulled my hair out, I am happy with how it got resolved.
Something I really liked was Noah's wake up call and his gesture. I think it applied perfectly for how Page is. I also liked Page's cousins and the role they played in everything.
I want to be true about how I feel about a book. I also know how authors put their everything into their books. But I also consider to be objective between the good and not so good in my opinion.
I still encourage you to give it a try. Maybe you like this book more than me.

Friends Like These by Carina Taylor
TBH, I tried to read this book a few years earlier but couldn't get into it. Reading it now just made it better than I thought it would be. I did really enjoy this book but I felt like it went slower than the others in this series.
*SPOILERS!!!*
Page: an artist with no plans except to travel. She was forced to go golfing with family and accidentally, intentionally, self-defensively, killed the mascot of "The Garden" golf course: a giant snake.
Noah: the new owner of the gold course, kind of boring (Page's words not mine), work-obsessed, and supposedly good-looking. He's been planning on removing the snake as it is a dangerous "pet" but Page beats him to it when she trikes it with her club.
Page feels bad about ruining (read: killing) the club's main attraction. To try to make things better, she comes up with a series of plans that range from selling Noah as a bachelor (bachelor night) to delivering awkward and different animals. Like a legless chicken and an adorable goat. Noah finds these acts endearing (much to his friend's annoyance) but does convince her to stop with the animals. So, she ends up planning to host an art night.
During this little plot of hers, they get closer. Then, they get pushed away from each other because of Noah's jerk grandpa (he is messed up!). In the end, they resolve their issues and stay together. After a few tears of course!
TBH, I tried to read this book a few years earlier but couldn't get into it. Reading it now just made it better than I thought it would be. I did really enjoy this book but I felt like it went slower than the others in this series.

Page: an artist with no plans except to travel. She was forced to go golfing with family and accidentally, intentionally, self-defensively, killed the mascot of "The Garden" golf course: a giant snake.
Noah: the new owner of the gold course, kind of boring (Page's words not mine), work-obsessed, and supposedly good-looking. He's been planning on removing the snake as it is a dangerous "pet" but Page beats him to it when she trikes it with her club.
Page feels bad about ruining (read: killing) the club's main attraction. To try to make things better, she comes up with a series of plans that range from selling Noah as a bachelor (bachelor night) to delivering awkward and different animals. Like a legless chicken and an adorable goat. Noah finds these acts endearing (much to his friend's annoyance) but does convince her to stop with the animals. So, she ends up planning to host an art night.
During this little plot of hers, they get closer. Then, they get pushed away from each other because of Noah's jerk grandpa (he is messed up!). In the end, they resolve their issues and stay together. After a few tears of course!

I could not stop smiling. This book gave me a constant grin and I LOVED it. Page was exactly like I expected her after reading the first book in this series. She’s a tornado of love, energy and confidence. She has this personality that just pulls you to her. Then there is Noah. Ah Noah. I am so glad that we got to hear his perspective. It gave a dimension to the book that would have been missing otherwise. The drama to the book at first didn’t make sense to me. Then Noah started to comment about his relationship with Page and how she was the one doing all the emotional lifting, giving all the outward affection. I honestly hadn’t felt that at all during the book but then I realized it’s because we knew and understood his inner thoughts and feelings. His grand gesture was priceless and perfect. This is only my second book and I am already in love with this author and her stories. I wish there were 20 more waiting for me! I have a feeling she’s going to be one of those authors i impatiently wait for new releases from!!!

Carina Taylor is the beat for romantic comedy!!! Sigh. Let me start by saying every character in this whole series are people I genuinely like. I could imagine being a part of their crazy family and never living a boring life. I live how character driven her books are and oh the dialogue, it will keep you giggling and swooning in equal measure.
I LOVE Page, I feel like we need to be best friends. She is unique and silly and completely outside of the box. She is a rainbow of colors, all of them gorgeous. I loved every minute of her love story with Noah. From the very first page I was hooked. Trust me when I say you will never meet a better cast of true to life, real characters. And the ending...let’s just say I had a goofy grin on my face as I read the last line.

Contains: kisses only. I was a little thrown off by the title since the book is not about friends. It is pretty much instant-love on both sides. I liked how Noah didn’t want Page to change and all that. I thought Page was too much though. She didn’t respect Noah (making him the bachelor for a singles night at his golf course that she didn’t tell him about, getting him random farm animals even though there was no indication that that would be helpful). Also I hated that he introduces her as his girlfriend after they’d been on ONE date.
This book doesn’t have much of a plot. Noah’s grandpa’s blatant sabotage was brought up a few times but then there was no follow through. I would have liked a confrontation or some indicator that the grandpa wasn’t going to keep making things hard for Noah.

Averagely Carina Taylor's book
Simple yet sweet story but ah um alot was kinda seemed missing?
Like the connection between the characters?
We just passed alot of months just like that without knowing much ..
The chemistry seemed off too like
Hagen and Kylie were wayyy too good than this seriously lol
I liked it ? Yeah i guess maybe
Will i recommend it ? Maybe not
Or probably I'm too tired of sweet stuff ...?

What a fun and adorable story! Page and Noah are so cute together. The author did a wonderful job of portraying the characters realistically and the story flowed smoothly. From the title I assumed this was a friends-to - lovers story, but it was more of an opposites attract. It was such an enjoyable story and there were so many times I laughed out loud - I could not stop reading!
I have not read any of the other books in this series, but I really loved this one. I'm looking forward to catching up on the first two books!
If you like clean rom-coms, you will definitely want to read this book!

Friends Like These is a wonderful follow up to Neighbors Like That! Page Brooks is a unique, spontaneous, fun character. From the beginning of the book the author has you laughing.
Noah is a great guy, although a little on the stuffy side and very focused on work. He needs someone like Page to bring out his fun side.
Noah has been gifted failing golf course and is determined to make it successful. Too bad the only thing it has going for it is now laying dead on the green.....murdered by a cute lady holding a golf club. Loved this fun, laugh out loud story!

The beginning of this book is so funny! Noah inherited a golf course with an unfortunate legendary mascot that he didn’t want. Page is reluctantly golfing with her aunt and uncle, when she comes face to face with that legendary mascot, and it doesn’t end well, for the mascot. I don’t want to spoil it, but I love what Page does to Noah because she feels guilty about her encounter with the mascot! I enjoyed this book - Page is awesome, and I loved seeing more of the Boone cousins, but Neighbors Like That is by far my favorite of this series. I’m looking forward to reading Vacations Like This when it comes out, too!

Unfortunately according to Libby it took me 2 hours and 28 minutes to read this, now I know what you’re going to ask “Cyd why only 3 stars?” My answer being, it felt rushed. Like rushed in a bad way like to the point where I was wondering at what point is it going to slow down, and then it didn’t. And now I know you’re going to ask “if you didn’t like it how comes it took you only 2 hours to read?” I don’t know🤷♀️ I was kind of hooked because I kept waiting for something to happened that would slow it down. And then the thing that usually slows down something like this (the break up) DIDNT SLOW IT DOWN IT ACTUALLY SPED IT UP

3.5 stars I enjoyed this book and loved the chemistry between Page and Noah. I didn't rate it higher because I felt like while it was a fun read and a good clean romance, the conflict moment wasn't really fitting or developed enough to click with me. I definitely sensed the attraction the characters shared and Page and her free-spirited ways were really funny to read about. The author has a great wit and it translates well onto the page. I would recommend this as a fun rom-com for those looking for an enjoyable light read.
