J.Z. Foster is an Urban Fantasy / Horror writer originally from Ohio. He spent several years in South Korea where he met and married his wife and together they opened an English school.
Now a first time father, he’s returned to the states - and his hometown roots.
He received the writing bug from his mother, NYTimes best selling author, Lori Foster.
This is a short, stand alone prequel. Despite the name, it isn't very witchy, although there are elements of folklore and superstition. Aside from a few typos like it's instead of its, and loan instead of lone, this is a great little read. I loved the writing from the POV of the wight, very visceral. I think the notion of fluffy meat will stay with me for a while. Based on this story, I'm going to read more by the author.
