At the end of everything ... there is a new beginning.

Where is he? How did he get here? And most importantly, how can he get home?
As he begins to encounter the unusual characters of Endinfinium, he finds himself at the centre of a battle for a secret world, one in which he will play a decisive role ...
Benjamin Forrest is the Harry Potter for a new generation, and ENDINFINIUM the series Young Adult fans have been waiting for.
This is an interesting boxset, with the first book introducing the reader to Benjamin Forrest and his arrival in the magical, not that the ‘m’ word is used by anyone there, world of Endinfinium and the School at the End of the World. The start is a bit unusual as you get used to the fact Benjamin has ended up in such a strange world, with no idea of how he got there. A strange girl called Miranda is there to greet him, apparently sent by the head teacher of the school to look out for his arrival. New students are prone to just ‘appear’, often without warning and if no-one finds them on the schools’ regular patrols, they could be eaten by some of the strange creatures or just disappear off the end of the world!
Matters start to go awry with Benjamin’s arrival and the head teacher still being missing is not helping matters. Ghouls start to attack the school and Benjamin has to quickly learn about all the dangerous creatures seemingly constructed from the rivers of rubbish floating by or the ‘reanimates’ – part human, part mechanical and part whatever! Most will kill you as soon as look at you and even the smallest are deadly. The staff within the school are dead any you don’t really want to see what they really look like, especially when they are serving you food, food which only consists of vegetables, as anything else such as meat or fish might reanimate, which would not be good!
The first book is all about the School at the End of the World and Benjamin’s introduction to this strange place and his battle to survive against what is trying to get him. He just wants to go home and get back to his little brother, who has special needs and somehow has a link to him in this strange place. How he ended up in Endinfinium is unknown, even to those around the school, and no-one seems to know how to get home, nor do most even remember their previous life. It seems he is an important part of events that are coming, and the secret world around him has many needs for his existence.
The second book is about the Bay of Paper Dragons and the third book is about the Lost City of the Ghouls. Each takes Benjamin and his friends on new adventures in this strange world and he finds out that he has a very important role to play in this strange world. A battle is going on in this strange new world, with two suns and a sea that drops off, as if on an edge of something, which Benjamin has now found himself right in the middle of.
It seems Benjamin, the other students and even the teachers, have magical powers, which have been kept hidden and undisclosed for years, after problems in the past. Now the dark one is moving ever closer and wants to overrun their world. He will have to work with his new friends to defeat their enemies and see if he can ever find his way home and back to his brother. The people at the school have been plucked from all different eras in time, even the future, leading to weird levels of knowledge and characters behaviour.
The start of the first book left me slightly confused, but once I realised who the main character was and where he was, the story started to make more sense. There are definitely some strange ideas put into the storyline and I love the use of all the rubbish to create lots of the ‘beings’ who exist in Endinfinium. The staff behind the scenes of the school and the re-animating objects give great fun to the books. A great series for all ages to read and can’t wait to read more. I received an ARC copy of the boxed set from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Endinfinium - A parallel world to ours - but influenced by our world, as it collects our garbage, discarded things from our society. From time to time the system also seems to collect young people from any time of Earth. Benjamin is one of the people plucked. There is a school that gives home and education to those children. Benjamin becomes enrolled and with that into the intrigues of the school, as it has to fight its enemies. This boxed set of 3 books gives Ben's adventures in Endinfinium and his quest to return home to Earth and his time. A well-written story, unique in many ways - although it shows some parallels to a certain other boy on Earth at a wizarding school. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I had previously read books 1 and 2 so I was thrilled to get the whole boxset including the 3rd book. This is an incredibly original story that is so crazy, it works perfectly. I love this author and the way he brings a story together, with awesome characters and a great storyline that pulled me in immediately (all three books). I was able to read all 3 again together and it is an amazing, compelling read!

Wow. The author certainly has a very vivid imagination! This series is very different, unique, imaginative, fascinating and well written. It is best to read the stories in order, so that is no problem with this box set. Ok, you have to suspend disbelief slightly, but hey, that's fantasy!
