This was okay.
* Daisy is out in the woods on the day before Christmas Eve, trying to get photographs of some animals which she needs for a book she's making. Unfortunately, she gets lost and her phone battery is dead. She sends a message to 911 but isn't sure if it went through.
* Boone lives in a small cabin in the woods, he's scarred and likes to keep to himself, but when he sees Daisy he wants to help her.

- This was okay, but there were little things that irritated me a bit.
-- I didn't like the way Boone told Daisy that she should wear her hair curly, he'd only know her for a few hours, not really up to him how she wears her hair!
-- I also didn't like the way he kept calling her 'woman'. Call her by her name, or maybe a pet name, but not woman!
-- They have sex, and they're both virgins. He says he's a virgin because of his scarred face, he doesn't like people to look at him, and fair enough if Daisy's a virgin, she's not that old, but how many girls, having never had sex before would invite themselves into a man's shower? Especially when they've only known that man for maybe 3 hours?
-- They have sex, and he keeps talking about forever! Asking her to promise that she isn't going anywhere! He barely knows her!
-- The Sheriff cuts her a Christmas tree?! Is that a usual service offered by the sheriff?!
-- He comes home and she hasn't left so he proposes. He hasn't even known her a full day yet 🙄

Daisy Parker is lost in the diamond Ridge Mountains. She is a nature photographer and has been working on a book for the last ten years. She wanted to get a few more animal shots before the storm. Her phone was at 3% when she tried sending a 911 text saying where she was and that she needed help. As she hits send, her phone is down to 1% so she has no idea if the text went through. It is the night before Christmas Eve and the snow starts coming down.

Boone is out checking his traps when he stumbles across Daisy. She thinks it is a bear approaching and when he talks to her, she faints. Boone can’t help but check Daisy out and he is loving that she is a curvy girl. Daisy wakes up and sprays Boone with pepper spray. Luckily, she misses his eyes. She tells him that her phone is dead. He tells her that he will bring her to his cabin. She protests that he is a stranger. He reminds her that a blizzard is coming and it is going to take the rescue crews a while to get to her.

Daisy goes with Boone. I loved this classic city girl, mountain man story. This was a great story to start the series.

Flashing his heart

BOONE is the first book in the Diamond Ridge Mountain Men series. This book was originally released in 2019 but has been edited and updated with this new release. I had not read the original series but I do love Brynn Hale's books so I dove in quickly to this fast-paced, OTT, sexy, passionate, and intense book. The story is one you can just get lost in for a hour or so, leaving you with a warm feeling and smile on your face at the end. Daisy Parker is a nature photographer who is putting together an animal anthology book. Boone Lanmore is a big, gruff, smexy hot, and delicious mountain man. Together they are sizzling with an undercurrent of passion sparking between them just ready to explode. She ends up lost in the woods with no cell signal and an almost dead phone she is able to text to 911 her location and then turn on her PLB. The man who comes to her rescue is not what she was expecting, a mountain of a man named Boone. He was out checking his traps before a big snowstorm comes in when he happens upon a lost hiker on his land. He may not want to rescue her but he cannot let her freeze, even if she does get him with bear spray. The story takes a few turns but is exactly what you expect, and want. I loved both Daisy and Boone as they are opposites who are both in search of something even when they do not realize they are searching. With each other they find the person that fits them perfectly.

Boone is a short, sweet and steamy love story.

Boone lives by himself after his father passed away and he prefers being by himself. One day he’s checking his traps in a snow storm and he finds more than he bargained for.

Daisy is a nature photographer and she ends up taking pictures when it starts to snow heavily and she can’t find her way back to her car. She thinks she sees a bear and is trying to scare it away. It isn’t an animal bear but a bear of a man. She faints and he wakes her and offers her warmth at his cabin until help can arrive to take her back to her car. They start talking and things get heated.

I love Boone! I love that he’s not experienced as Daisy thinks and they share that first together, one of many.

I really enjoyed their story! Can’t wait to read more of the series!

Super quick. Maybe way too short. I would have loved this in a longer novella.

The plot was fantastic.. I love a good damsel in distress, snow storm, mountain man romance. My favorite tropes. This one was also a super quick instalove with a hint of beauty and the beast too.

The characters were great. Daisy is super independent and Boone is a strong recluse.

Oh on the plus side both are inexperienced and it was super hott!!

Daisy just needs a few more photographs for her nature book and she is so focused on getting them that she gets lost.
Boone finds a woman in the middle of nowhere when he is checking his tramps. As there is a storm coming, he has to take her to his cabin.
This was a short story about a city woman and the mountain man who rescues her when she was lost on the mountain while taking pictures of animals for a book.

Short, instalove, virgins

This is a super short read. Open door but not excessively descriptive. Both the man and woman are virgins. Insta-love between the diesel mechanic recluse and the photographer. A little on the odd side for him to be a 33 year old loner and fall for this woman, to be honest. It lacked emotional depth and plot but that's honestly because it's so short. If you're looking for a very quick sexy read with a loose theme of mountain man, this is for you. I prefer things to be a little more developed and less insta.

Daisy heads out for a hike in the mountains, and gets lost after dark. Boone rescues her, and takes her back to his cabin. This is cute insta-love, with all the heat and steam. Until she does the one thing that he asked her not to do. This is a nice short read - nice story, a strong, smart and curvy woman, a sexy loner mountain man - and a good opener to this new series.

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it, Boone is the first book in the Diamond Ridge Mountain Men series, it can be read as a standalone story, there are no cliffhangers. This story might be short and quick to read but it's packed with drama and emotion, Boone and Daisy make a wonderful couple and their instalove whirlwind romance was a delight to read.

I enjoyed Boone and Daisy's story! It's a fairly quick read that is cute. Daisy is lost in the woos when she hers rustling noises. She suspects a bear is coming to eat her. She even is prepares by pulling her Bear Spray out. She is screaming she does not want to be eaten when the said bear speaks back to her. Let's just say Boone and Daisy do not get off on the right foot but the heat and chemistry between them in undeniable. This is a good, sexy and cute story.

This is my 2nd book by Brynn Hale and it definitely won’t be my last. It is a well-written short insta-love romance with an alpha man and curvy woman. These characters are well-developed for a short story and you fall in love with them. The chemistry is instant with these two and the story flows smoothly and is great sweet story. A Must Read HEA with no cliffhangers.

Hot

This is a hot and steamy romance novella from the start. Daisy is trapped in a snow storm when a mountain man rescues her. Boone is the size of a grizzly in Daisy's eyes. She just can't stop staring at how sexy he is. The book has passion and desire making any woman pant reading it. I love that its set around Montana. My favorite state. Its even got a bit of adventure and wildlife.

This HOT, feel-good quickie has lots of sexy fun!

This is not a long story but the author does an amazing job of filling in all the gaps so that it is not full of holes while also not rushing too much.

Short? Yup! Super realistic timeline? Nope! Amazing reading experience? Absolutely!! I appreciated the dialogue and the scenes were not too rushed. I bet this story would have been even better if it was longer and more drawn out. I’m glad I found this author and looking forward to reading more of her work :)

I wanted to really like this story, but it was lacking a lot of depth. Everything was just kinda touched on, but not really explored. They've both lost their parents, they're both virgins. He works on diesel engines? Where? Did she complete her book? Did it get published? Too many unanswered questions leaving me unhappy.

Such fun

A really super speed love story, but very funny, smart and sweet at the same time. Do not doubt, there is lot of hotness as well and hilarious moments, and very tender moments and the reader gets a glimpse of the inside world of the characters as well. All in all a rich short story, very entertaining read.

OMG: ”How do I know you’re not going to just take me to your cabin to do horrible things to me?” ~ This woman is spit and fire and I like how hot she makes me. She’s a woodland nymph and a dangerous siren all in one. ~ “I guess you don’t. But at least you’ll stay warm and maybe, maybe if you don’t annoy me too much, you’ll enjoy those horrible things, too.”❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥😈❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

A quick read where the female lead gets lost in the woods and is found by the male lead. Their first meeting is hilarious. What follows is instant attraction, lots of smolder and heat and just a little angst to bring us to the happily ever after.

Steamy sweet Mountain Romance

This book covered all the basics even being short. There was the initial catch, grab, and hold the attention. There was pain, heartache, life choices, and love. I never expected something so simple could be so solid and good. I definitely want to finish the rest of the series.

Lost but Found

When Daisy gets turned around she comes in contact with a bear, no a huge man! She's stunned and his huge body calls to her like nothing has. Is this Christmas just their beginning?
