Accidental Santa

Rate this book
Lindsay Working as an elf during the holidays isn't exactly what I had in mind when I moved to the big city to be an actress, but when a job at Marley's Department Store opens up, I take it. The only problem? I find out I've got bigger shoes to fill when I discover Santa passed out drunk right as the kids are lining up to see him. Someone has to play Santa. That someone is me. But when I meet the 'mean' Crane Marley, will I be able to keep up the holiday charade? Crane This company is a chain around my neck, but at least I've found one jewel in it. Lindsay, a new holiday hire, is making me feel things other than my usual greed, disdain, and irritation. She's my employee, but the moment I see her mouth-watering curves and get a taste of her quick wit and charm, I ignore the handbook and do everything I can to get her under the mistletoe. Has the mean Mr. Marley finally met his match? Celia's Accidental Santa is the perfect mix of naughty and nice. This over-the-top Christmas novella has a happily ever after to keep you merry and bright.

This story was a nice gift by Celia Aaron to her fans. I received it gradually in 10-12 emails for free, but I think you can buy it now for a small price.

The hero is a grumpy owner of a Megastore who loves belittling his employees, has fun firing them and does everything to destroy their Christmas and crush their Christmas spirit.
Crane never experienced love as a child by his father and as a result he hates his legacy.

On the other hand Lindsay is the exact opposite of him. She is bubbly, funny and adores Christmas. As she is a jobless actress, she gets a job as an elf in Crane's store...But for unforeseen reasons, she ends up being the Santa.
Lindsay and Crane will fall in love and Crane will change for ever.

Very nice cute love story. Great for a lazy pre Christmas afternoon.

Believe

A feel good romance, about believing in the magic of Christmas and the possibilities of miracles.

Lindsays pursuit of becoming a famous actress is what had her coming to New York is on a stall with no money coming in she answers the add for a job at Marleys department store as an elf.

Arriving at Marleys she’s not prepared for him. Mr Crane or that nasty man that’s whispered among the staff.

A less likely lead you’ll find. He’s an asshole. He’s mean and has no regard for people until her! This little elf is about turn this mans world upside down.

There will be a few bumps along the way and this CEO needs an attitude adjustment. But with all Christmas miracles this a heat filled read to warm you up.

Between the blurb and a quick read of a chapter in my email I was sooooo in for this book. The chapter I read has our heroine dressed up as Santa-as a kids mom comes onto her. Followed by a tense scene with the alpha hero and I was all for it. In essence the book was good, the storyline enjoyable, a twisted modern day Scrooge romance. But to be honest the hero was a grade A a$$hole. Honestly there’s not anything really nice I can say about him aside from his looks which is superficial and the way he treated the heroine which is weak when he’s practically Satan to everyone else. The Grinch has a bigger heart than this guy and the only thing leading him is money, money, money. And I’m not making that up, he says it constantly. Sure the hero has some daddy issues but my god, grow the F up and stop sabotaging a company and the lives of everyone who works for you. What’s sick is the hero got off on this shit, he was such a selfish spoiled child. Firing people at the drop of a hat. Changing policy to require employees to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas/Christmas Eve so he can bring in more money. He cut the holiday bonus for an employee that’s been there for decades after he tried to stand up for employees wanting to spend time with their families. (I’m sure a guy like him wouldn’t even allow employees to unionize, they’re expendable to him and only live to serve his sorry existence.) More and more the heroes true colors showed and I just don’t think he can just change as abruptly as he did. The whole situation had me doubting the heroine as well. She was so snarky, fun and sweet she was hard not to like. But damn if she wasn’t dumb as shit when it came to the hero. It was just sad. Throw in the fact she a seasonal employee was banging the CEO within no time. This doesn’t bother me in a sense, what does is that they weren’t very subtle about their relationship and in the real world the heroine would have been treated poorly no matter what a wonderful person she was. Worse than the judgement and criticisms would be the pity from her fellow employees. I mean from their POV she’s dating the anti-Christ, they know nothing good about him, hell, have seen nothing good from him and as much as I hate to say it she would be ostracized and labeled. Sure as a woman her choices are her own, but even just professionally and as a stance for standing up for decent humanity the heroine drops the ball. She never calls him out on his behavior and just lets it go. I’m not one for stories where a character has to help change someone or help them grow, typically I find that better served as a self journey but this book really would have benefited from the heroine smacking him upside the head with some reality. Even the plot with his brother was weak. Suddenly his playboy partier brother grows up, wants a stake in the company and becomes a pioneer for the working man. Within I think it was maybe two months he wants the company for himself cause he wants to make it this wonderful place, like it was when their dad ran it. I get that but this kind of storyline takes time to evolve and it just didn’t work within the short span allotted. I found the book enjoyable enough I just found the execution and characters to be lacking. I mean but that cover though 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

Loved this so much!

I’m used to reading Celia’s dark romance, but this sexy, light, hilarious holiday read was just what my heart needed. What steamy scenes! Love that the heroine was a southern Georgia peach!

I learned a new term..”You came loaded for bear.” You have to read and find out what this is in reference to. Lol!

Good

Let’s start off by saying that for most of the book Crane is a pretty despicable human being. Lindsay is sweet, loving, caring and loyal. She is entranced by Crane’s beauty and of course he treats her really well. She’s heard stories about his cruelty but she has trouble reconciling his two personalities. Crane basically hates everything to do with his late father including his beloved department stores. He has demons because of his fathers neglect and keeps everyone at arms length, constantly punishing them and lashing out at them. He is a miserable man and it takes his brother’s tough love and losing Lindsay to see the error of his ways.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. No ow/om drama. H’s past isn’t mentioned and h has had a few boyfriends and ONS, she has been celibate for a while. No abuse.

Absolutely beautiful, naughty Christmas Carol re-telling.

You could smell the Christmas Spirit on every page of the story. It was very well written and as interesting as a re-telling could be.

We need more plots like this one out there. A real Hallmark story.

Santa is always watching!

This cute Christmas story will have even Scrooge shaking his head. Mr. Marley better watch out, Lindsay better not put, Grant better not cry, Higgie will tell you why....

Henry is coming to town. Whoops, I mean Santa. This crazy cast will entertain you any time of year.

Accidental Santa was exactly what I was looking for! I wanted a short, sexy, Christmasy read, and this one perfectly fit the bill. I love Celia Aaron, but I’m used to her dark books. This was my first lighter read of hers and it was perfect! I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a Christmas book!

A Fun Holiday Read.

I love this Authors festive little treats for the Holiday season. They always make me happy, I love the fun cover too.

This ones was a great little twist on a Christmas tale, is had a little pinch of naughty and nice and I had a few laughs along the way.

We meet a terrifying Scrooge , The ower of Marleys Department Store...Mr Crane Marley. Now he will definitely add a bit of spice to your day. He's mean and moody but could be willing to see the error of his ways for a certain naughty Elf.

I loved Lindsey she was sweet and kind and just what Santa needed to help a mean Store owner embrace the Christmas spirit.

Great read for a naughty bit of Holiday Cheer.

Santa.

Cute pretty quick read. Good story and really enjoyable characters. Well maybe not him so much at first but he grows on you. Lol and she’s just so sweet and kinda quiet with a sassy side. She really brings it all together and turns mr. Scrooge around. Cute ending too.

Moving to New York from Georgia was suppose to help Lindsay and her friend Grant's chances of making their dreams of acting come true. But Lindsay finds herself stuck in small roles that might be considered "extra" and out of a job during the holiday season. To help her friend's chances at being successful she'll take on a small role as elf at Marley's Department store.

For Crane Marley, he despises the Marley Department Stores. As a child is father was never around because he was so busy building up the stores and working to ensure his employees happiness, but forgot about his own family. When his father dies and the ownership and management lands squarely on his shoulders he's determined to tear the store down one way or another.

Accidental Santa is a modern day Scrooge story that will having you begging for more. I absolutely loved getting to read these chapters as they came in my email and then finally as the whole story when the book came out!

Admittedly, I am a bit of a Grinch. I love winter. I love gift giving. I even love the decorated trees. I am just not a big fan of what Christmas has become. Still, every year I try to get into the "spirit" by reading a few Christmas romances. They tend to be hit and miss with me. Most are just okay. Too short or too long. Too cheesy, too insta-love, or too cliche. Sometimes all the above and sometimes I just can't connect, through no fault of the story. Accidental Santa wasn't one of those misses.

Firmly in the HIT category is where Celia Aaron's Accidental Santa placed. Lindsey is delightfully plucky and sassy heroine who scored extra points for being curvy and not succumbing to apologizing for it, being ashamed of it, or throwing a pity party over it. She also wasn't a doormat. Crane was everything I dislike about corporations and Christmas. I wasn't sure how he was going to redeem himself but I sure hoped he would.

Accidental Santa brought the laughter, the steam, the feels, and the magic one expects in a Christmas romance. My heart grew 2 sizes from reading this one.

I had the opportuinty to read this via the author's newsletter and absolutley loved it! This tale is intense and funny and poignant and had me hooked from the first chapter! Lyndsay is a struggling actor who takes on a job at Marley's as an elf but becomes Santa when she discovers the Santa passed out and her costume doesn't fit. Crane, the CEO is a grumpy man who does not like the company he father started but runs it anyway with rigid control but no heart when he enounters Lyndsay! This sparks a change but it is slow in coming and therein lies the tale of his redemption and the romance!

Wow, I loved this perfect holiday story!!!

Crane hates everything about Marley's, the business he and his brother inherited from their father. A father who spent more time running the business rather than being with his family. So Crane has pretty much turned into a scrooge. Enter Lindsey; a curvy, funny lover of all things relating to Christmas. She is hired to be an elf, but ends up playing Santa. Can she help Crane see there is more to life than being a moody jerk? This is a wonderful story that had my emotions going wild and I highly recommend it!

Loved reading the fabulous and fantastic romance story. When the author, Celia Aaron, started sending a chapter a day to read, I waited with anticipation to read the next chapter each day, so when the book went up for sale, I grabbed the chance to buy it and was not disappointed. Lindsay takes a job as an elf, meets the handsome, arrogant, mean boss, Crane; Lindsay ends up playing Santa, and she not only melts the children's hearts but may even be starting to melt the grouchy, sexy bossman. Read the highly recommended and wonderfully written love story!

This book is packed with holiday charm, emotions and humor. I loved Lindsay and Crane. This couple was so cute together. Their chemistry was quite steamy and the love between them very sweet. The story line was fun and I really liked the whole opposites attract angle with Crane being all Scrooge-ish and Lindsay being a card carrying Christmas lover. This read was exceedingly enjoyable and I highly recommend it.

Mr. Marley has met his match

Oh man, I'm not sure if I can tell you how much I loved this story, but Ill try. This story has everything, a plot and storyline that flows beautifully, characters that come alive on your head, conversations that are organic and not forced.
Crane is Definitely a scrooge, so arrogant. Lindsey is everything good and warm and beautiful about the holiday.
I loved the push and pull of these two. The lust was.... Wowza.
