The book charts Italian fascist Benito Mussolini’s imperialist dream as he invaded Ethiopia for the second time in 1935, with the intention of making it an Italian colony. This act of aggression shook the country to its core and forced Emperor Haile Selassie into exile after the war was lost by the Ethiopians. Mussolini knew that Ethiopia had little to no chance of winning against the superior weapons and vast numbers of highly trained soldiers they had at their fingertips yet this didn't make it any less bloody, violent and downright brutal. The story covers the Ethiopian resistance throughout the war. Our fore fathers fought for their country with their bare foot and with no enough food to sustain throughout the war and even with out much modern weapon. They believed in their harmony, courage and most of all God to lead them to victory! They were loyal to their superiors, to the king. Sadly there were also those who decided to work for the enemy and fight against their brothers and sisters. The book shows these two Ethiopians and the effect they had on the outcome of the war!
