This book is a good read if you are brand new to personal development. I make it almost a habit to pick up anything with "Millionaire" or "Rich" in the title, because WHY NOT! Tragically, this one was extremely difficult to sludge through, it felt like work because it was hardly enjoyable and nothing seemed new or that you paid for some well researched insiders knowledge. The writing was very redundant and the authors seemed almost apologetic to use the word "Poor" or talk in detail about these "habits" in the event that it would offend. The most value is gotten from the first few chapters and didn't require a lengthy book to discuss.
Takeaway: If you can develop habits that make you more productive in a day than that is the key according to this book to getting rich. One thing the authors were clear on and that they kept their promise to deliver- this book is about mindset. It offers no helpful advice for those who understand their weaknesses and strengths and need some actionable items getting to the next phase of their lives. If you are looking for a good starter book to give you a list of itemized habits to adopt then this is in that category- although there are better reads to even get this information. For more seasoned readers looking for in depth insights and suggestions, unfortunately this book doesn't do the job.

Someone explain to me why I keep hoping that books like THIS will somehow exceed my expectations...It was fineeee I guess. It was okayyy. I learned some things. It kept me turning the pages. But I was also physically wincing and squirming throughout the absolute IGNORANCE and SUPERIORITY of this book. I need to find a personal finance book written by someone who wasn't born into wealth and privilege. 3 stars is Generous.

Found this book in a free library outside. Was about personal development and having good habits mostly. Nothing new but lots of comparing rich v poor which felt a bit callous and not super understanding of privilege.

More of an overview, this is a good read for someone in doubt of what they're operating as an individual and in need of a guidepost. It emphasises the accountability on one's person, that they are in charge of their life, specifically in making their fortune. By taking responsibility for your actions, being in control (or at least feeling it) you can and will be able to where you want to be, be it better financially or anything else.

Conversely, if you are someone under a lot of stress (when you're in execution mode) this might just add unnecessary stress due to internalisation of blame, something of a modern ailment that comes with our current belief of taking control of one's life (while sometimes it could be other factor as well, like your house burning down due to bushfire or investment loss due to market collapsing).

This won't help you take action, rather this would help more in terms of roadmap planning. An enjoyable read nonetheless. Includes a summary that readers can use as checklist to see where you are in the spectrum, and act accordingly.

It seems like these guys should have just written their own book. If they would have, I would have picked up Yardney’s book which would be summarized as, “Become an investor in lots of things especially real estate, and you’ll end up getting rich!” Corley’s book should be thrown immediately in the trash and can be summarized as, “Here are 100 random aphorisms and if you think smarter then you’ll get rich because poor people are just stupid lol; please buy this book so I get royalties.” Save yourself some time, don’t read this book, and learn how to invest. Simple as that.

Most of those things I already knew, from a books that did better job explaining them. Also, I found here and there some oversimplifications and misconceptions. But generally, I believe this is a good book for people who don't know much about good habits, earning money etc and never read any good book about those things.

Basic read on money habits

A bit basic. Definitely good book if this is your first personal finance read but not much more. It heavily borrows on concepts introduced in other books.
