I loved this collection of ghostly and weird phenomena in Ireland. I travelled to Donegal last year and met the author, from whom I bought this book. What a delight is Keith, and his book reflects his fun and adventurous personality. A bonus for me is that I visited a number of locations mentioned in the book. However, you need not go on a tour of Donegal to enjoy this book. Anyone who loves folklore, culture and of course, Ireland, should check it out. And of course, unexplained phenomena buffs will treasure it. I'm generally not a believer in ghosts, nor scared easily. However, Keith's accounts of the ghost stories (told by the people of Donegal) have given me pause to wonder! The pace of the stories is lively and the length of them brief. So a reader can pick it up and read parts at a time. "He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed" – Albert Einstein.
This is one spectacular book! WOW! BEST KEPT SECRETS of Ireland vastly unknown by the majority of the residents!! You literally travel on unexpected adventures along side the author but it's the surprise of each adventure that keeps you engaged. Once I started, I couldn't put the book down!!
Delightful collection of lore! I was familiar with a few of these stories, since my family is from Donegal, but found many tales that were new to me, as well.
