In book 3, “Murder Most Merry,” of the Flannigan Sisters Mystery series by author Amanda Reid, we meet Lacey Flannigan, youngest of the three sisters. Lacey’s schedule is putting a crimp in her usual over-the-top Christmas mood. She’s taken on extra shifts as a vet-tech at the local shelter and is in charge of the shelter’s Home for the Holidays campaign to get pets adopted. Although she aced her current semester, she’s already studying for next semester, with hopes for a scholarship. All of which allow little time for Walker, her new boyfriend and firefighter in a nearby town.

But unfortunately, life is about to get worse. The shelter director dies suddenly of a heart attack. Money is missing from the shelter’s donations. The police suspect murder, and Lacey becomes the primary suspect. It’s going to take help from her family, her boyfriend, and a little ability of her own if they’re going to keep Lacey out of jail and make this a Merry Christmas.

I so enjoyed this cozy Texas mystery series and look forward to more from Amanda Reid and the Flannigan sisters.

Fascinating story about an animal shelter and a director who is killed. Case is complicated with more suspects than you can count on and then there's the case of adopted animals not getting chipped and being dumped in another county. Things get twisted and complicated fast and just when you think you know who is guilty a new twist sends you in a completely different direction Really good read with a surprise ending

Murder Most Merry: A Flannigan Sisters Psychic Mystery book 3

I was really disappointed in this third book. Not because of the story itself. The story was great. It’s clear this book was not proofread or edited. The grammar was poor, names of people (Taryn/Lisa) and the breed of Vixen kept changing. The errors were too distracting and kept me from thoroughly getting into the book itself.

Cosy Christmas Mystery

When a colleague dies at the animal rescue centre she volunteers at, Lacey is not only a suspect, but she'd had a vision of the death just beforehand.
The third in a series, I haven't read the others, about sisters with 'gifts'. As well as the death, animals are going missing, and so is money, so it's quite an involved tale.
Loved the animals, whose personalities shone through more than the humans, but a good story, a good mystery, and a good read.

A light who dun it. Clean and cute. Leaves you smiling at the end. Great for an afternoon at home read.
