While we deal with our personal drama, another problem knocks on the door.
As the Order starts tracking the Callahan bloodline all over again, they find their way to River Stones.
In an attempt to keep me safe, Gran makes a decision to move out. Her decision is based on two reasons.
First, she is afraid someone from the Order might recognize her. It will make it obvious that I am Callahan, and that's why she needs to stay away from me.
And the second: Nate is the only one who can protect me, and she wants him to move in so he can be next to me day and night.
Will the Order find me? I wish that was the only thing I had to worry about.

OH this was most unexpected read, a shocker of a book, yet somewhere down the line I was expecting it.

My sixth book by the author, Lana Melyan, the story had great action to begin with, fight with the vampires along with lots of magic. I loved the way the author wrote this book, full of emotions. Nicky had to grow up and grow stronger, and I could just see that happening in the book.

Overall, a fun read.

Book six in this series of novella's and things are definitely looking up.This one was far better than the last book in this novella story.
We are getting to see more of what is happening after the fight with the sword being nearly ready, and now that Nicky and Nate have got there relationship sorted after being idiots they now have a fight on there hands.Needs more action but after the end of this I can see this is going to be the case.

Heartbreaking

This one is a sad one. Won't tell you why, but it is definitely worth the read. It just keeps getting better and better.

I loved!

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I couldn’t put it down, I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. This is Book (Episode) Six of The Weight of Magic series. This is a fast-paced, easy and short read, perfect for a quick jump into an exciting world of witches, high school, vampires, and danger. This novella series is an exciting ride with unexpected turns and twists; it's like a TV show in a book form. You're one click from starting your binge-read.

This is not what Christmas is about. While they deal with their personal drama, another problem knocks on the door. As the Order starts tracking the Callahan bloodline all over again, they find their way to River Stones, and in an attempt to keep her safe, her Gran makes a decision to move out. Her decision is based on two reasons, first, she is afraid someone from the Order might recognize her, and it will make it obvious that Nicky is a Callahan, and that's why she needs to stay away from her, and the second, Nate is the only one who can protect Nicky, and she wants him to move in so he can be next to Nicky day and night. Will the Order find her? Nicky wishes that was the only thing she had to worry about. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. It’s a must read. I highly recommend to everyone.

Onto number six in this fab novella series and things are quickly moving on and into a more dangerous territory.

After their little victory in book five and with the sword being nearly ready, our group of heroes try to relax and behave like a group on normal young adults. However, as always, somebody has a different plan and there is no time to stand still.

I think the only thing that slightly went against the grain with this one was Nicki and Nate’s relationship at the start of the book. I felt it was wasting a bit of time and reminded me too much of Twilight books and that has been done too many times now in various genres. I do like their relationship and how much more mature is has made them both, so I felt the start was unnecessary.

Working past that, the story was fast paced, exciting and sad and I am looking forward to finding out where the road leads next.

Thank you very much to the author and TBConFB for this book.

Recap: Nicky survives a vamp attack but tragedy strikes and her entire world changes.

Review: These novellas get better and better, probably because now we are so invested in the characters and storyline. The love story is really endearing. For a moment I thought Logan was going to be a double-crossing bad guy, to be fair there is still time lol. When you can draw parallels with other genre favourites like True Blood and Twilight then you know you're in your happy place. And I actually really like how short they are because I know I can sit down and read an episode in a day which is very satisfying.

The latest instalment things are moving on quickly and into more dangerous territory! The Order are retracing the Callahan family line and are getting closer to finding Nicky, who has had to grow quickly and increase her knowledge and magical skills quickly.

In this book The Order has sent vampires to against the group and nosing around, beating them comes with a high price. Eventually, they decide to go on the run to try and stay safe until they have collected everything they need to defeat The Order.

This is fast-paced like the others and a short read; it was exciting and sad at the same time. I’m looking forward to the next instalment.

The Last Bell is the sixth instalment in this series and I am really enjoying them. The pace in this book has sped up and as I quickly reached the end I was desperate to keep reading.

I love the characters of Nicky & Connie and how they are continuing to evolve as the story continues and learn more about the magic of their ancestors.

I can't wait for the next book as I loved this short read and will definitely be reading more by this author!

I received a copy of this book from TBC Reviewers request- Thank you
This is the 6th book in the series, as with the other books they are short in length but full of lots of emotions and events.
As with many of the other books the key theme centres on love and relationship development mainly around Nikki and Nate
A really well written series that appeals to the paranormal fiction fan in me.

This is the sixth ‘episode’ in the YA fantasy series from Lana Melyan. Another enjoyable quick read suitable for older children and young adults. The story continues to unfold with events in the life of the very likeable protagonist Nicky and her friends. Witches, vampires, action and adventure, the series is still going strong.

Heading for vengeance

I liked this book so much better than the last one. Nikki gets her heart torn out. I wish her journey could have taken a different path but life sometimes takes a dark turn. With her friends by her side, I'm hoping she can survive her grief and kick some ass.

A great book

Again I think it felt more like reading a longer chapter than a book not sure I would be happy to have to buy 9 books that could have been two or three at most. The story is good and can't wait for last three. The only reason for four stars was due to the length. I have Kindle Unlimited which I am happy they were a part of that subscription.

The Last Bell is part 6 of The Weight of Magic series by Lana Meylan, part 7 is out and part 8 is on the way. I'm not sure how many parts there are going to be but these are a bit like being drip fed a good TV series but having a few weeks to wait between each episode, just enough to keep the interest peaked but it's so frustrating there's not more at any one time, they're never long enough.
I'm enjoying the tale of Nicky, Nate, Connie, Logan and the other none magical folk involved and I really can't wait to find out if they are triumphant against the Order.
In this episode the Order send vampires against our group and they find that beating them comes with a high price. Our four friends decide they must go on the run until they have collected all the items and knowledge needed to win.
Roll on "The Sacrifice" to see what happens next.

Binge-reading

I started this series on June 14th and only just finished the series on June 16th. It a definite page turner since you really want to know what happens next. Which is why I didn't do a review when I finished the first book but after I finished the series.

Expect some unexpected

New developments are interesting. Tragedy strikes and hearts are broken. My two favorite couples are once again off on adventure.
