This is certainly not a good book to achieve fluency. What's the use of having just a whole bunch of new words which you can't even use because there is no recording to tell you how to pronounce them? The exercises are of not help either, they don't help you develop a more fluent dialog or build more complex ideas in English, they just give you a set of words and/or phrasal verbs that you learned earlier in the lesson and you have to fill the gaps. The only valuable sections are the #A (say it clearly) and the few dialogs in the book.
If you want to win in Scrabble, you can't go wrong with this book; if you don't, then i guess it's a waste of time.
*I left it in lesson 5, I had enough of it. The structure of the whole book is the same, so you are getting the same all through the book
