If you want to read something that leaves you feeling lighter during these challenging days, look no more! This book is most definitely for you!

Before anything, I suggest you grab a pen and paper when you start this one because you'll want to remember quotes, excercises and just incredible ideas that'll come to your mind while reading because See Me will open your mind to new possibilities and directions that you've never considered.

description

Moreover, a word that I think matches this book perfectly is engaging. Believe me, you will not only grab pen and paper because it's recommended but because you'll want to do it. In this book we get to see Hailey's point of view on different aspects of life and what she has learn through diferent experiences, as well as real life stories that complete the reading experience perfectly. Those stories go from normal people like you and me to really outstanding ones like Malala.

I was hooked into this book since the moment I first opened it and I decided to read it more slowly than my other reads just because I wanted to let every word sink into my mind, I was able to find a wide variety of quotes that I know I'll be repeating in my head for a while.

There were two important messages throughout these pages and those were that your feelings are valid and it's ok if you don't have all the answers right now. And honestly, those two concepts would have been so beneficial for me in my teen years when I thought that being positive was not having "bad" thoughts ever and that I needed to figure out my entire life in a couple of months. I wish this book was around during that time because I would have found my happiness a lot sooner.

And that's the key point of this book, finding happiness and how we all have a different idea of what happiness looks like and that it's totally normal. We should find joy in our uniqueness and live our lives based on our own values and goals because at the end of the day we should be our biggest cheerleaders.

Hailey Rodgers contacted me through instagram to ask me to read her book See Me and write an honest review. I love supporting young, debuting authors so I didn't think twice about and said yes. Now I wonder how she could have known I needed this book at this moment in my life.

"There is a misconception that in order to be happy you must first be successful. In fact, the opposite is true: you must be happy first in order to be successful. This raises the question: How do I become happy? The answer: Discover your authentic self."

Although this book can be read by youth and adults of all ages, Hailey Rodgers mainly focuses on addressing young adults. This group often goes through a lot of changes in life, me included (I am 22 years old and in my last year of college, fyi). I am feeling very insecure lately, about my body, about school and finding a job, and feeling guilty about this because there are bigger world problems than my own unfounded insecurity. This all makes it hard to feel happy. See Me really helped me to put all the events and changes in my life into perspective and find back my good mood.

The author makes statements based on examples from her own life, the life of acquaintances and of famous people. You feel like she knows what she is talking about. Hailey Rodgers is a young woman herself, which means she doesn't have the attitude "I am much older than you are and let me just tell you, your problems now will seem insignificant when you are older", that I sometimes experience when reading self help books. Her words felt genuine and valuable.

See me is divided in three parts with 30 principles. All chapters are relatively short, making them stick to the point. At the end of each chapter, the author lists what you have learned in this chapter and what tools you have learned to use in real life to make you feel happier.

"The paths you travel, the roads you take will be different than everyone else's. The location of your life right now too will be different. That is why the way you read this book does not have to be linear. You do not have to read this book from start to finish - because really, that's not how life works either. Nothing in life is linear."

I started reading this book chronologically, but about halfway through I took Hailey's advice and started reading the chapters I felt like reading, skipping chapters I didn't feel like reading at that moment, and to come back to them later. Not all principles will apply to your life. So do not feel obliged to read what is of no use to you. This book should help you feel good, reading what you don't feel like reading will work against the process. You can always come back to unread chapters later on, because this book doesn't need to be read in one sitting. It should come back to it over and over again when you need it. And I am sure I will come back to it.

“We are afraid of vulnerability. We are afraid of transparency. We are afraid to be seen.”

★★★☆☆

I’m going to start this off my saying I rarely read non fiction. I tend to enjoy it less, but I decided to give this a shot because it’s written by a young Canadian female author. I love supporting women, especially when they’re local.

I thought the layout of this was smart and I loved the fact that Rodgers included stories of others who learnt to love themselves and were more successful because of it. I found that it made it me more inclined to continue because I was interested in the individual stories. I also like that at the beginning, Rodgers states that you can read this however works for you. You can read it front to back, but you can also read it by bouncing from chapter to chapter, as they are broken up in different principles. If one resonates more than the other, you can skip to whatever it is you’re looking for. I was also a fan with how each chapter ended. Once you get to the end, there are bullet points outlining the things you’ve learnt in said chapter, and advice on what you can do with the things you’ve learnt.

I think that any young adult who is going through big changes in their life might find this useful. It isn’t a self-help book. You aren’t being told what you must and mustn’t do. It’s a gentle guide to help you figure out what’s most important in life, and how to navigate the waters of being young and finding yourself.

Firstly I would love to start by thanking Hailey for giving me the opportunity to read this book. Hailey was so lovely to talk to and she comes across as lovely inside and out and this is certainly reflected in her writing.

See Me is guide to helping you realise your authentic self. The book is split into principles which you can read in order or dip in and out of depending on which principle you feel is most beneficial to you at the time. If you have any young adults in your life then this is the perfect book for them as it really encourages embracing who you are and not conforming to the norm. There are some great sentiments in here about recognising and loving your flaws, which is so important when you are a young adult finding your feet. There are many challenges facing young people today and this is a really positive look at how to not only recognise that but to create positive outcomes from it.

This guide is probably most beneficial for teenagers and those in their early 20's, however there is something to be taken away from this for all ages. I would encourage you to share this with the young people in your life.

Congratulations Hailey and thank you again for sharing this with me! 🤍

I love the opportunity to help artists get their work out there and I was so honored that Hailey let me do that for her!
See Me is a nonfiction book that serves as a guide to help the reader find their true inner self, contemplate how they perceive their emotions, figure out what it means to succeed & ultimately to be happy.
I loved the way this book was broken up. I spent a few weeks slowly making my way through this while taking notes for myself, it was a great experience! I would definitely recommend this to a younger generation! to have been able to read this in high-school or going into college seems to be the age to read it💙

„We need to become the marketers of our lives.“

When Hailey kindly asked me whether I’d like to read her first ever published book, I felt so excited! Even though I wouldn’t normally read books like this, I absolutely wanted to give this a try - especially with such a beautiful cover (oops, I know, you taught me not to judge a book by its cover but I think that’s a kink I’ll never get rid of!).

I read this book from front to back but - as Hailey herself claims - you could easily just start in the middle. It’s divided into 30 principles to live by so it’s easy to just pick whatever speaks to you in your specific situation.

Throughout the book you meet various people, each of them passing on their wisdom and experiences. The fact that these people are all real makes every word written so much more honest and touching. It felt a bit like a HONY-story from time to time.
Moreover, the whole book reminded me of Paulo Coelho’s The Alchimist (which is also mentioned in the book and which I absolutely adore). Hailey’s style of writing is easy, yet deep and has an essence of purity in it that really got to me.
The reader can tell that everything she puts onto paper is 100% of what she believes in and lives by.

My favourite part was probably principle 5: Find Your Social Niche (that’s where the quote at the top of this post is from). It really made me think!

However, most of the time I felt like I already knew and lived by the advices the book gave you. And that’s actually a good sign! But this also means that I could not benefit from that read as much as I wanted to. Especially in the beginning I felt like that part might rather speak to younger readers (aged 12-17 probably). Turning 22 in June, I felt like I’ve kind of already lived through these phases in life where you for example struggle with not always following adult’s advice.
Continuing the book, there were a lot more complex advices that also speak to older readers, though! Nevertheless, I’d like to make clear that this is MY experience. There might be people out there struggling with such topics at age 22 or even older and that’s completely okay!
Also, the fact that some topics might only speak to younger people is not a bad thing! Hailey wrote this book for every age so it’s only normal and the author’s intention!

This book is emotional, pure and honest. If you could use a little guidance on your way through life or if you just want to be reminded that you’re actually doing a pretty good job already, I can only recommend See Me.

First of all, I want to thank the author, Hailey Rodgers, for sending me her book to review! Hailey is so genuine and kind that it was a pleasure to read her book.

See Me is not what I would consider a typical self-help book as much as I would a self-find book. Rodgers covers so many important topics that are relevant across all ages. This is the kind of book that different chapters will speak to you differently depending on which stage in your life you are or current circumstance.

The style of writing is so conversational I almost feel as if I'm drinking coffee with a friend talking about what's important in life. You can feel the author's warmth as she candidly talks about heavy topics in a non-threatening way. You can also appreciate the humor and simple wording - I'm forever using JOMO in my every day conversations now.

I enjoy the author's introduction with how to read the book as well. She mentions this does not have to be linear and you can skip around to what speaks to you. As you can see, this isn't a simple 1,2,3 and your life is better now kind of book. It's full of comforting reminders and effortless wisdom on enjoying life.

I'll end with a quote from the author - "Never Stop Being You".

When I was contacted by Hailey to review read and review her book I was thrilled. Although generally not my genre of choice, it was lovely to read a book that speaks to the experiences of so many young adults today.
——
Two elements of this book stood out to me. First, she calls on the reader to read the book it a way that is most useful to them whether that be jumping around from chapter to chapter or skipping sections that may not be relevant to them. Secondly, there are many anecdotes from the people in her life. This is a strength as it applies the ideas she is writing about to real people by showing their own experiences.
——
overall really solid book, I’m happy I read it!

‘See Me’ is a self-help book; having said that, one of the things I dislike the most about some self-help texts is that sometimes it seems that the author writes the book to get the story out of themselves to give a kind of closure to some tough chapter of their lives they have overcome and learnt a lot from, rather than to actually help people. Nonetheless, this is not true of Rodgers’ book. You can tell since the very beginning that all of her learning does come from experience –which she’s brave enough to share with the reader–, but she doesn’t make herself the protagonist of her pages: she’s really become her authentic self, as the title of the book reads, and has devoted her time to write this book, which is just a way to invite us to take her hand in case we need help.

One of the strengths of this book is, definitely, that Rodgers reinforces the text by sharing the stories of inspiring, remarkable leaders to clarify concepts and ideas and adapt them to real and popular cases we all can empathize with, while keeping a friendly, conversational tone. Reading about those people was very interesting and that certainly enriched the text.

I wouldn’t say I was in need of psychological advice when Hailey sent me her book, but although most people would reach for this book when feeling down or damaged, it’s true that this is a reading you can go through even when you’re in peace with yourself: you’ll learn new things about life, about others, and, most importantly, about yourself, if you really want to.

Thanks again, Hailey. You’re a talented writer and it’s been a pleasure to read your book. I’m convinced that you’re helping a lot of people with it. Please keep writing!

Thank you to author @haileyrodddgers for the #gifted copy of her book! I don’t often read self-help, but I think we could all use a little bit more of that right now. Review below!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
--------
Synopsis: See Me charts a journey to finding self-acceptance and living authentically. Lots of young adults talk about living authentic lives, but few actually walk the walk, and author Hailey Rodgers wants to change that.

I wasn’t sure about See Me when I began, but by the end I was sold. I’m a fairly successful (by my own metrics) twentysomething working in the arts, and I feel pretty fulfilled on a daily basis. Part I of this book charts Hailey’s interviews with different young adults from all walks of life, and how they found fulfillment at an early age. This was academic at times, but ultimately an excellent reminder for me of the things I’ve learned thus far in life. I love that she touches on gratitude and genuine apologies, two things I’ve found very important in my personal growth. See Me really picked up steam for me in Parts II and III, when Hailey wrote more about her own story (including a very powerful recount of some challenges she’s faced) and the things she’s learned thus far. She truly shines here: she’s equal parts honest and funny, and I felt like I was on the journey with her.

While I was reading this, I kept thinking that I would have gotten a lot out of it if I had read it 9 years ago, on the cusp of my collegiate experience. A lot of the anecdotes are school-focused, and I think the best audience for this is high school-to-collegiate folks. That’s not to say you won’t learn something from the book at any age, and if you feel like you need a push back to your most authentic self, this book is a good place to start. Does this make me old? Maybe. But considering how far I’ve come, I’m kind of okay with that! This book is laid out like a roadmap, and you can ultimately take what you want from it. For that, I give it four out of 5 stars. See Me is available now.

Hailey's goal with See Me is to inspire other young adults to stay true to who they are and look past the pressure of societal norms. She draws on personal experience and ideologies to help illustrate to others how she embraced living an authentic life. This book also follows the inspiring stories of a number of young adults and their journeys to accepting, understanding, and living as their authentic self.

This book is the book I didn't know I needed right now! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hailey has written such an honest, readable, engaging book that I would recommend to anyone. See Me is geared to young adults and the issues they may face, though it can be a meaningful read for all adults. I do wish that a book like this was available to me when I was transitioning from high school to University or from University to life after school. I think that this would be a great resource for high schools to have in their libraries.

It includes inspiring stories and insights from individuals from different walks of life, including Hailey herself, and I admire their strength, resilience, introspection, and drive. Hailey lays out a series of principles to follow on one's journey to authenticity. Oftentimes, these principles blend together which, at first I found repetitive, but later came to understand how effective this was as she explains early on that this is a non-linear book (like life) and can be read in whatever way and whatever timeframe the reader chooses. If you are questioning your own authenticity, then give this book a read.

TW: Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, drug addiction and dependency, toxic relationship, sexual harassment, emotional abuse, heart related illness, mention of racism.

*This book was sent to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.*

Before I started reading this book I was sceptical. I never read self-help books because they tend to be a little bit too much! But as soon as I began reading, I knew this one would be different. Hailey states in the very first chapter that the reader can do whatever he wants. Skipping a chapter because you can't relate? Absolutely fine. Jumping back and forth and not reading linear from start to finish? No problem. Starting and only picking it up a few days or even months later? Sure why not! This book was made for the reader, so it's up to you how you read it. I really loved that!

It's also more of a self-finding than a self-helping book and even though I felt a little bit too old for some chapters, I could relate to a few. Especially the one about rejections and how to handle them better. Because being rejected is a nasty feeling but it's also something we encounter through our whole life. You can be rejected by people, schools, companies, publishers and many more. But what matters is not the rejection but how you deal with it. So I will definitely try the 24-hour rule Hailey proposes!

I also liked how Hailey's not embarrassed to share her own stories, her own failures and fears and worries. And she does never claim to be perfect or that she knows all the answers herself. She's on the journey with you, more like a supporting friend than an advisor!

Maybe this book isn't for everyone, but if your interested in finding your authentic self or if your in need of a confidence boost, I would definitely recommend it!

Thank you so much to Hailey for gifting me this special book! This was a perfect read during quarantine!
This book is broke up into 3 parts with separate Principle sections within those. The focus is on Authenticity, Happiness and Success. Each Principle section relates to each of these parts and each principle is further broken down with advice on a topic and stories shared by other people relating to the principle.
A few of the principles that resonated with me were: #6 - 24 Hour Pity Party, #9- Recognize that you already fit, #12 - Being Selfish is okay, #19 - There's no such words as can't. There are 30 principles in total. Without going into too much detail, the stories collected and shared by Hailey from these principles was something I really valued and definitely enriched the reading experience.
I think this is a great book to read when you're feeling abit unsure of yourself and things are feeling uncertain. It really invigorates the idea that you are you for a reason and you have the choices to create happiness and success through whatever comes your way. I really needed this refresher, especially during this time when all I seem to battle is negative thoughts and high anxiety.
One of my favourite quotes that really struck me as I was reading was - "Inaction prevents discovery of who we truly are."
I recommend See Me to anyone, no age limit here. It can be read cover to cover or by picking a principle. I would suggest having a pen and notebook with you as you read so you can follow along with some of the exercise, make notes of principles, quotes and stories that resonate with you!
Thank you to Hailey for having the courage to share her own story as well as going on the journey to create this book!

Is it possible for a book to be described as warm and cozy? If so, that’s exactly what this book is.
See Me is a book full of positivity and inspiring messages. The goal is to bring self-awareness to the reader and I love this kind of book!

Sometimes we’re so caught up with living our busy lives that we don’t take time to stop, breathe, and meditate on what is surrounding us. Are we being honest to ourselves? Are we loving and taking care of our precious bodies? How is our mindset today?

Each chapter brings up a different area of life and topics that make us reflect on our own lives. I like reading this kind of book to consciously think about what I’m doing and what I can do better for myself and others.

I'd first of all like to thank the author, Hailey for sending me a copy of her book to review!

“I have learned I am happy when I am myself, and that, to me, is success.”

See Me is less of a self-help book and more of an honest guide to navigating the emotions, doubts and general feelings that come with discovering yourself and figuring out what you want from life. I specifically refer to it as a guide because of the way it’s written, you don’t have to read it in order, you can always flip back to a specific chapter that you resonate with or jump forward for the same reason.

I really liked the “What you’ve learned” & “What you can do” bullet point breakdowns at the end of each chapter. It really helped to highlight the key takeaway points in a simple manner. I also enjoyed reading all the unique stories featured in this book - so many amazing stories of resilience from a wide range of young people.

This is a book a lot of young adults could benefit from especially those in their senior years of high school or just starting uni. There are a lot of stories and scenarios in this book that relate particularly to that phase of life which can be a confusing and overwhelming time for a lot of young adults, so I can see this book being a nice guide in that way.

A very interesting read, I mistakenly bought this because I had heard great reviews for another book of the same name but after reading the correct book afterwards it wasn’t nearly as thought provoking nor immersive as this, from what I could gather the author is a passionate young woman with a thrill for writing and a grip on life, I am definitely looking forward to what she has to offer next

See me by Hailey Rodgers is a wonderful book that inspires the reader to become their authentic self. This book gives helpful advice on how to find happiness, and become successful. Everyone has their own journey and their own story to tell.

I found myself very invested with this book. Having gone through many different struggles through my young adult life, I not only found comfort in many of the success stories but also became very inspired to truly live my authentic self. Growing up I always wanted to fulfill the expectations of my elders and would think in doing so I would truly be living a purposeful life. But growing out of childhood and becoming my own adult, my experience and passions became far more different then others. Finding yourself is not an easy task, there will be many difficult obstacles that come in your way, and it may take some time to get through them. See Me is a great encouragement to help you stay on track and continue the journey to find yourself.

“You must love your achievements; you must love your failures; you must love and embrace every flaw and ultimately everything that makes you, you.”⠀

I liked the way the author has structured each chapter with a summary and how we can take into practice what we’ve learned. We also follow along with some amazing and inspiring success stories of many different people throughout the book. ⠀

I absolutely would recommend to anyone, and I’m very grateful to have been gifted this book. It is a truly inspiring and fulfilling read. ⠀

Thank you again to @haileyrodddgers for the wonderful gift!⠀

This book came to me at the exact right time. I am in the middle of a big life change/career change. I am in the military and will be getting out in a year. After 5 years of structure I will have to decide what my next step is. And I have been having a very hard time figuring out what is out there for me post military. God really knew what he was doing when he sent hailey Rodgers to my inbox with this book. Thank you Hailey for your words and all the different stories/point of views in this book! Really helped give me some clarity. I recommend this for anyone at a crossroads or just needing a little inspiration!

"We are afraid of vulnerability. We are afraid of transparency. We are afraid of being seen."
Young adults are desirous of living authentic lives, but often we fail. Hailey Rodgers' book See Me, is a substantial roadmap to living the most optimal life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hailey introduces the book with Malala Yousafzai's fearless story. Always admired and respected by me, I appreciated instigating Malala's story as a start to the book.
With the help of real life stories of young adults and herself, Rodgers gives us a chance to introspect. She makes us ask ourselves the right questions, what we're doing wrong and what we can do to make it right. It's okay to not have a plan, it's okay to not let other people's perspectives change our decisions and it's okay to fail. Living life on our own terms, following our own principles, loving ourselves for what we are and becoming what we want to become is what authenticity is. Rodgers truly guides us point by point, most importantly she inspires us to see ourselves, stand for ourselves and love ourselves.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a young reader myself, I related to what Hailey had to say at par. Throughout the book, her erudite thoughts made me question myself and made me see the non ideal parts of my life. It's encouraging to see a young adult, inspiring other young adults to live life at it's best. It's definitely a book everyone should read.

It’s always lovely to discover a new up-and-coming author, especially one that writes with great insight, grace, and honesty. I’m happy to say that after reading her first book, I’ve found just that in author Hailey Rodgers. Her book was full of really inspiring words, stories, and a hell of a lot of wisdom.

Although this book is technically targeted more towards a YA audience, I would say that no matter what your age is, you will find something to take away from this book.

I can’t wait to see what’s next for the very talented Hailey Rodgers and thank you for sending me an e-copy of your book. 💙

•Review: See Me - Becoming Your Authentic Self by Hailey Rodgers!

Hailey was so kind to send me a ebook of her self-development book! If you are looking for something remarkable, thought-provoking and relatable, I highly recommend picking up this book.
Why? The shortest answer: we all need a little self-development and reflection, and this book gives you exactly what you need.
The longer answer: It is so rare that there is a self-caring self-centered and helper book from young adults to young adults. The writing style flows and drags you, and helps you understand yourself even more. Reading it felt like talking to a sister or my closest best friend - it was eye-opening and helpful to sort all my ‘bags’ out! It was so inspiring to read about young individuals who already put so much down on the way to becoming authentic! My most cherished parts were the thoughts on happiness, understanding that social media does not define me, how i can be more resilient and the word ‘can’t’ simply does not exist! I can always try and try🤍
.
I highly recommend reading this, thank you Hailey again for giving me this experience!

First and foremost I want to thank the author, Hailey Rodgers, for reaching out to me and giving me the opportunity to read and review her book.

When Hailey reached out to me and explained to me what it was all about I knew this would be something I could deeply relate to. Throughout the book we meet individuals who offer valuable life lessons to help and show us how they were able to be seen for who they truly are.

I have always been a very shy person. Someone who hides behind a mask when around new people. Someone who always over thinks about what to say and how to act. Even in the book community I don’t always feel 100% authentic so being able to read about other young adults who are just like me and how they learned how to fully accept and love who they are has been so encouraging!

This is not a “self-help” book or a book to “solve all of our problems”, as mentioned by the author, it is simply a friend offering her life experiences (as well as other incredible human beings) as support and guidance on this journey of “Becoming Your Authentic Self”.

I was gifted a copy of this book to review by the author. I think it is so important to talk about authenticity and vulnerability and I am a huge advocate of for-youth-by-youth content (and Canadian content at that!) I would recommend this book to students in High School or Junior High who are interested in learning about vulnerability and authenticity from a non-expert youth perspective, especially those youth who are part of youth-leading-youth movements!

A really lovely book - 'See Me' by Hailey Rodgers.

Hailey contacted me several weeks ago and kindly gifted me a copy of See Me. I don't usually read e-books but, after learning what See Me was all about, I could not resist the opportunity to get stuck into this one - so thank you, Hailey.

This book really resonated with me. As someone who suffers with anxiety, I often find myself questioning who I am and what I'm all about. I have a highly stressful career and can sometimes find myself becoming embroiled in what others think I should be doing/enjoying/saying rather than what I, myself want to do/enjoy/say. That pressure to conform to social norms and to do what society expects of you is real and hits most of us at some point - the problem is, we are often sacrificing our authentic selves in order to be the person we think we're expected to be. See Me helps you to find out who YOU are and how to live your most authentic life as YOU want to live it.

I particularly liked the way that, at the end of each chapter, there is a summary of 'what you have learned' and Hailey then gives you ways in which you can implement what you have learned into your own life! This interaction with the reader really keeps you engaged throughout the book. There are also some really powerful and inspirational stories for you to become invested throughout this book.

Overall, a really insightful and rewarding read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I can't wait to see what Hailey does next!!

Recently, I was very kindly gifted a copy of See Me by Hailey Rodgers. I was so excited to read it because I love memoirs about inspirational people and this book is a collection of stories about exceptional young people blended with tips for living an authentic life. It addresses the specific experience of being a young person today by highlighting teenagers and young adults who have pursued their passions and become leaders in their communities and on the world stage. It is formatted almost like a workbook with summaries and questions to help further the readers’ understanding at the end of each chapter. My only concern is that it does touch on some very sensitive and sometimes graphic instances of trauma, that may upset some readers. I only mention it because this book does a great job of appealing to a younger audience, but because of this might attract some readers who aren’t ready for the content of a few of the stories. So, I would leave it up to the parents’ discretion for high school ages or younger. But otherwise, I think this is a clearly written, helpful, and thought-provoking guide for anyone seeking to live a more meaningful and rewarding life. And I applaud Hailey for her amazing achievement in writing it!!

"Why did I choose to pick up this book?" the book asks almost immediately. Yes, Hailey asked me to review it in exchange for a free copy, but also I needed some help.

I've been feeling burned out and lost lately, and maybe a little ignored too. I didn't need a self-help book, but something to motivate and reconnect me to me — and that's what Rodgers delivers.

It is relatable and realistic, like a friend talking to you and giving advice. Chapters often end with specific points you can do to improve.

She covers a lot, and much of it is relatable. A few parts, though, felt more suited for teens and college students and a little young for me.

Hailey's book is a refreshing and honest look at life from the point of view of both the young author as well as those whose stories she tells in her well written, authentic book. This book is a must read for all young adults (and older adults too-you are never too old to learn to be your true self). Through raw truth and a desire to be truly the person they were meant to be, Hailey captures the thoughts and desires of some amazing people and then draws lessons from each story to help the reader really get the most from each chapter. Pick this book up today, you won't be disappointed!

I was contacted by Hailey Rodgers to honestly review her book “See Me”, and was sent a copy of her book for free for doing this. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and I’m honoured to review your book!
🌸
See Me is a motivational self-help book that concentrates on some key principles to create an authentic self. It uses core ideas to expand on areas of concern, and links to real life applications for the principles.
🌸
This isn’t my usual genre of choice, but I found this one really good! It was really insightful and contained some great anecdotes of applications for the principles. The book’s biggest strength was that it recapped what you had learned from each section, and strategies you can use to apply those lessons. A gap I often find in the genre is the actual application part (especially for those who are not neurotypical), so I was really pleasantly surprised! The book was also written in a very clear, concise, and charismatic way!
🌸
The only issue I had with it was the length. I was starting to get tired by the end of it, but I suppose that could be attributed to my lack of understanding of the genre itself. Overall, it was a really solid read, and I rated it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 stars! Definitely give this one a shot! Check out @haileyrodddgers to find out where to read this book!

Hailey is relatable and through these pages, you feel like you’re getting advice from a close friend. I can’t tell you how many times I had to pause, put the book down, and just think... THAT is what makes an effective self-development book for me. One that challenges your perspective, dares you to go beyond your normal, and encourages you to live fiercely as no one other than yourself.

I also loved that Hailey included some truly inspiring stories from some remarkable individuals, it’s so beautiful and encouraging seeing real people living authentically.

This is a beautiful read by a strong, fierce, and inspiring gal. I would recommend to all.
