In a novel where I was completely out of the recommended age range, I had no idea what to expect. I was taken by surprise in that, I fell fully in love with the entire book. It wasn’t what I was used to reading, which only made it more fun. It will have you on an emotional rollercoaster. Laughing, crying, checking your doors are locked, then sweating bullets to read what happens next. The plot, the twists, the ups, and downs are all wrapped up beautifully in NO forced entry. Living near where the book takes place also gave me a whole different level of perspective, in which I could relate so much more closely to the surroundings. However, even without living in the places in the book, the amount of detail and work poured into the scenes is outstanding and enough to make you feel like you’ve visited. Overall it is a must-read thriller that you won’t regret buying.

I'm a big fan of crime novels and gauge how good they are based on if I give up my housework and chores to continue reading. No Forced Entry kept me on the edge of my seat the entire book. The characters were both realistic and surprising. The book could have ended in two of the previous chapters and I would have been satisfied with "the ending". Robert Max's ability to weave every nuance of the storyline together seamlessly and believably makes this a must-read for any crime novel enthusiast. I plan to read this again...and again! Really!

I was looking for a book, in the mood for a crime mystery type, this one caught my eye because of Lake Tahoe, I am a long time resident. I enjoyed the book, it's a page turner for sure. Has all the ingredients for a proper "who done it". Robert Max does a fine job of weaving in the clues so the reader can help solve the crime and has a unexpected twist in the end. Intriguing dialog, humor, adventure, suspense...... It's an enjoyable read, I'm looking forward to Robert's next book.

Just when I was in the mood for a good thriller, along comes Robert with “No Forced Entry”. This is a fast paced page turner with lots of twists and turns. I probably should have saved it for my summer reading 📖 stack, but just couldn’t wait.

Tahoe has several local authors, this is one of the best I've read. There were some things that bugged me, but the story was good and I consistently looked forward to the next chapter. Looking forward to the second book.

While I could have read the book faster, I chose to read it slowly to fully appreciate the author's writing style. This book's style resembled Tolstoy's War and Peace; Robert Max used the protagonist's thoughts, characters' conversations, and descriptions of nature to draw into the scenes, and to make the writing realistic. This was a satisfying surprise in a genre where one usually expected only a page-turner. This book could be enjoyed and savored, read slowly, re-read: I would like to compare some of Robert Max's digressions, scenic descriptions, with some of Tolstoy's. I initially expected gore and chase sequences, but I found the author's style more sophisticated thanks to his building suspense by the pacing, conversations, and use of nature.
