Rumors never bothered me. If people want to guess at my sexuality because I design dog clothes for a living—let them. I know the truth.
I’m a red-blooded heterosexual male and just because I don’t have my tongue hanging out of my mouth around every female like my dog Cooper, doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the female form.
Now with Teegan Lowery in my life I’m suddenly panting right next to Cooper, hoping for a taste.
I hired her for her stellar PR skills, but she’s slowly weaseling her way into a spot I’ve kept a NO VACANCY sign on for years. Everything about Teegan screams unavailable. The last thing I need is another dramatic, high maintenance woman in my life. Believe me, been there and done that.
But the sexual tension between us is like a game of tug-of-war and neither of us wants to lose.
I love dogs. She hates them. Turns out, we both love doggie style.
Piper Rayne is a USA Today Bestselling author duo. Our goal is to bring you romance stories that have "Heartwarming Humor With a Side of Sizzle" (okay...you caught us, that's our tagline). A little about us... We both have kindle’s full of one-clickable books. We're both married to husbands who drive us to drink. We're both chauffeurs to our kids. Most of all, we love hot heroes and quirky heroines that make us laugh, and we hope you do, too.
This one was cute. Well written and well paced. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. That said, the misunderstanding stretched out a bit too long for me. It was funny at first, but by 50% when it finally gets cleared up it had lost its charm. I didn't find it particularly angsty, and there was no OW/OM drama. The attraction between the main characters was quite quick, but the sex was slow in coming (50%). I didn't mind that overly much as both characters were very likable and had good on page chemistry. The sex scenes (when we do get to them) were suitably hot.
There was an excellent array of secondary characters. The couple from book one make an appearance and Jagger whom I still really don't like that much. I don't hate him as much as I did Dane (before his book) from the Single Dads Club series but lately; I am just really over the whole arrogant uber manwhore character in romance books and in this one we get glimpses of him whoring it up. BUT, these authors made me love Dane in the end, so I am holding out hope they can pull it off with Jagger as well. I also loved Teegan's BFF, and hopefully, we will see her in a book soon. Both the main characters in this one were very likable. I liked Leo. He was sweet. He was sexy. Not a manwhore (thankfully). Loved dogs. But I was a little let down by him at the end (more about that in a bit). Teegan I adored. She was sweet. She had a big heart. She had some issues, but I understood why she felt the way she felt. Because of that, I thought she unfairly shouldered all the blame for the BIG blow up, and it took away a bit of my fondness for Leo.
The major issue I had with this one was I just didn't love the way the big blow up and aftermath played out. So yea, I was a little disappointed by Leo. I needed him to fight for Teegan and their relationship. Those issues aside it was still a delightful read and gets two solid thumbs up from yours truly.
I had to re-read a few parts of this book. Not because I wanted to, I simply dozed off while reading it. By the time, all those misunderstandings, mistakes and missteps were sorted out, I lost my faith in human ability to communicate. This book (and the series) was lacking in "complexity of characters" department. And it sucked because the prequel raised my hopes up very, very high. Instead of great reads, I got two... half-finished stories (and I'm scared to read the third one, to be honest).
Plus, I don't understand the need to interconnect every single thing from all series they wrote. Nothing against writing in one "world", but (characters aside) in previous book it was the famous vibrator, now the boxing ring... I mean, they are not the only people in their area of expertise, right? I'm worried that with more and more series, the story will look like this:
main character: "I want to tell you my story. Let's start with—" character from different series: "Hello, just checking in to make sure you didn't forget about me." main character: "Um, well, where was I? Oh yeah, I was telling you what happened at the beginning when I was—" character from another different series: "Yoo-hoo! Anyone there?" character from upcoming series: "I am! I need to make a great impression so people would want to know me better!" main character: "Never mind. I'll just wait when they are done."
I really liked Leo but Teegan was a little annoying.. which is generally the cast for me when the female led can’t commit.
Leo to me was Captain Anerica! When Vance tells him Payne thinks of him that way I just laughed because it’s true! That being said overall, the story was good. Just wasn’t my favorite. Also none of the books after the first three compare to witty writing and characters that Piper Rayne started out with.
This book had me laughing, cringing, and maybe even tearing up a little—sometimes all at once. Doggie Style (aka Animal Attraction) brings chaotic charm, sizzling chemistry, and just enough emotional whiplash to keep you hooked. 🐾🔥😭
It was hot, sweet, frustrating in the best way, and funny as hell. Basically: a full-body experience. 10/10 would emotionally spiral over fictional pet lovers again. 🐶❤️🔥😅📚
Man I have to say this is probably my least favorite book by this author. I just couldn't get into this one. I wasn't fan of Teegen. She was so closed off and defensive. Wasn't willing to work on much for their relationship. I felt bad for Leo because he was really trying and putting himself out there. I also didn't understand where her dislike for dogs came from. I did really enjoy his character though. He was standoffish at first but turned super cute. He definitely had a soft spot. Overall this one was okay. Still enjoy this author very much!
After reading THE MANNY, I was really looking forward to reading Leo's story. Unfortunately, DOGGIE STYLE did not win me over.
For the most part, I liked Leo and Teegan, though I did find them to be contradictory. Leo says he doesn't care if people think he's gay, but he became furious at Teegan when he realized she didn't know he was straight. Which was really his own fault, because he allowed people to play the guessing game for years. Teegan has the strength and courage to quit her job—because of the misogynistic environment—and start her own business, yet she never stands up to her mother, whose disturbing behavior has affected how Teegan lives her life. As a couple, I didn't feel much chemistry between Leo and Teegan at all.
I felt that DOGGIE STYLE wasn't as strong a story as THE MANNY was. Nor was the humor there. The grand gesture scene at the end confused me, because I'm pretty sure skydiving was not mentioned once throughout the entire story, yet Teegan knows it's the perfect way to apologize to Leo because he apparently likes skydiving. I didn't like Leo's friend and business partner, Oscar, who would deliberately put Leo in awkward situations to promote himself and to keep the "Leo is gay" buzz alive. People from Leo and Teegan's past appear in a couple of scenes, and I felt they were only added to create unnecessary drama. There's also a pretty obvious timeline issue after the gay bar scene that I'm surprised didn't get picked up by the editor or beta readers.
I know I'm nitpicking right now, but after enjoying THE MANNY so much and rushing out to buy DOGGIE STYLE, I just can't hide my disappointment.
DOGGIE STYLE is told in dual POVs, comes with a HEA for Leo and Teegan, and while it's part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone.
Book two in the Dirty Truth series was another winner for me from Piper Rayne. I certainly have no complaints about the extra time it took to receive this book when what I got in return was well worth it.
Leo was one of those leading men who is supportive and funny and charming. I really liked his overall personality from how laid back he was and the fact that he was not at all concerned about the "rumors" about him. He was a dog person which of course I loved. And he wasn't overly bogged down with emotional baggage.
Teegan on the other hand had a lot of emotional history that is interfering with her present. The situation that led her to working with Leo was a frustrating one but of course I'm glad it brought the two of them together. Teegan and Leo were very opposite personality types, but I believe that was part of what made me like them together so much.
There were a few minor things that made me wish for a bit more story in hopes that I could have gotten more detail. Like more about Leo's past relationship and why he was considered unavailable when he and Teegan first met. And maybe more of the emotion from Teegan's past relationship. Also her dog story to show me the reason for her current feelings. But I loved the references back to the first Piper Rayne series, especially as it relates to unicorns, and I loved how much Jagger I got. I'm very much looking forward to his book and can't wait to see who his leading lady will be. I hope Vance and Leo will get to give him the same crap he dished out over settling down. I continue to find this duo of authors to be very solid in the stories they put out and feel like I can count on getting something I will enjoy if it's by them.
This is the second book in the Dirty Truths series and has so far featured the leading men having less than ‘alpha’ jobs so they have more to prove of their alphaness. This was no different for Leo who runs a doggie parlour!
Leo came to LA to make his dreams of being an actor come true, when that crashed and burned, he turned to his seamstress skills he picked up at a young age from his mother. Now running his own successful business of a dog grooming and clothing store, he has high hopes of putting his produce into more high end businesses. He therefore looks to hire a PR and this is how he meets Teegan.
Teegan holds severe hang ups from the past from her mother’s inadequacies with relationships. Now running scared to turn out the same, Teegan focuses on the one area she can control – her business. After being ousted from a job she more than deserved she sets out to prove others how wrong they were about her. Her first client turns out to be sexy Leo, only her focus loses track once she sets eyes on the hunky blonde.
This was quirky and fun that made for an enjoyable romp of a read. It did have some serious elements and I liked that Leo was no pushover for his little control freak and didn’t let Teegan run the show on her terms by running scared. I must admit I was a little put off to read this as I thought Leo would be a little effeminate. How wrong I was!
I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series and this time it will be Jagger. Now to find out who will be the woman that stops his manwhoring ways. I hope it’s the lover from the past as I love a good second chance romance. Overall though Leo’s story was a winner and a four star read for me.

I laughed my way through this book. The banter is hilarious, and I fell in love with Leo and Teegan. They are absolutely perfect together. Leo is laid back, sweet and gorgeous, and Teegan is controlling, hyper and outspoken. They say opposites attract and the attraction is strong with these two. Their chemistry is out of bounds!
The concept that Leo has a dog clothing line on Etsy and also sells the clothing in his dog spa in LA to the elite is a riot. His mom was a seamstress and taught him the trade and he is very good at it. Teegan is hired to help him get his clothing line into the national chain pet stores. Leo couldn’t be involved with his PR rep, it’s just bad business and Teegan couldn’t be attracted to her boss, could she?
I loved this story and I want to tell you all about it, but that would not be fair because the reader should experience this sweet, hot, sassy, and at times heart squeezing love story. The secondary characters are a great compliment to all that is this story. I finished this book in one sitting, which involved reading until 2 AM! Was it worth the book hangover? Damn right it was, and I enjoyed every delectable page!
If you love romantic comedy, then I highly recommend you read this book. You can read it as a standalone, but it would be better if you read the first book to get the full experience! I can't wait to see who takes Jagger to his knees in the next book!

Received an ARC at no cost to author on behalf of Enticement Journey Book Promotions..I enjoyed this book, the second in this series. This was Leo's book, one the three hotties. It was his love story with Teegan, his new PR Rep, we read about trying to not act on the attraction that they felt. Teegan had an incorrect assumption on Leo, and when she finds out the truth all bets are off. I hate to give spoilers, I like you guys to read the story instead of me giving you the info. As always Piper does an awesome job, and we get to read about how Vance and Layla are doing, and an insight into Jag, I can't for his story. Enjoy!
This book has the best premise because Teagan thinks Leo is gay and is off limits!! Even though he looks like the quintessential surfer from California (they are in LA!) his profession is dog grooming and designing outfits for dogs. And his partner is gay...his business partner! Pretty cute story!
Y'all. If you read my ~reviews in order, and saw my thoughts on the Hart(s) ... y'all.
I didn't even [have to] rant about them on twitter. I read up to what I could stand and quit it.
This book though. This book.
I kept going because I've quite liked a number of Piper Rayne books ALTHOUGH I do recognize some don't work for me, and I've DNF'd them. (I think it was their earlier works? And maybe this one is? Because ... yo. No.
Her shit [best friend?] made me so mad - INSISTING a guy based on RUMOR - that she's NEVER EVEN MET BEFORE is gay ... WTAF. Especially when the heroine who clearly HAS met him before was like "I don't ... I don't think so ..." And THEN the heroine being so dumb as to just go along with what her friend says. And it also made me (especially) mad that the reporter friend INSISTS and says "oh ALL my gossip is absolute truth" ... uhhhhh
it didn't make me think highly of them at all.
THEN - the FURTHER ASSUMPTIONS. The hero moves away from the women who grope him, so the heroine is all "proof positive he's gay!" ... bitch no - MAYBE HE JUST DOESN'T LIKE STRANGERS INVADING HIS PERSONAL SPACE AND MOLESTING HIM?!?! Like OMFG WHAT EVEN.
Imagine if a dude wrote that a heroine was OBVIOUSLY a lesbian because she moved away from random guys who kept trying to grab or touch her. Women would be up in arms - romanceland would be screaming their heads off, heads exploding, piling on in tweet rants, so on and so forth.
Like COME ON NOW. DO BETTER, AUTHORS.
And then!!!!!!!!! In the hospital - which 🙄 I get it's supposed to be an almost "meet cute" set up, so of course the heroine is flashing people all over the place in her hospital gown 🙄 O B V I O U S L Y I get hospital gowns don't have the best coverage. I mean hell - it's split open on one side with only 2-3 ties on it, oftentimes you're told to not tie them! ... However, I (sadly) have more experience with hospital gowns than the average/many bear, what with countless Xrays, MRIs, scans, ultrasounds, injections, actual hospital stays... You can cover without that much effort.
ANYWAY - her ass hangs out once or twice - and that tweet! Where the "friend" informs the hero "oh I'm sure that grossed you out" ... WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING.
I powered on though because like I said - I've liked Piper Rayne and esp since I REALLY liked Sexy Beast so much...
OH! OMFG. And then how she's SUCH AN INSANE BITCH FROM THE GET GO. Busting into his store, screaming on the phone ... a) that's not ok ever, b) ESPECIALLY NOT IF YOU'RE TRYING TO GET THE PERSON AS A CLIENT. She also seemed pretty judgey of his clients.
She STALKS HIM TO HIS HOUSE. She somehow gets his address! And SHOWS UP UNINVITED. And she gets huffy and mad at HIM when he's like "dude - WTF"...
... ... omfg.
EVEN THEN. I kept trying/hoping.
But this all was just REALLY too much and all dead to me - and there had been STRONG hints of it before, but when they flat out SAY the heroine HATES. DOGS.
HATES!!!! DOGS!!!!!!!!!!
...yeah no.
Fuck this shit. Not even worth setting it on fire and salting the earth. Doesn't deserve the fuel or effort, or even the salt.
Don't even care if she pulls her head out of her ass eventually and then loves dogs.
Fuck. Her.
This was way too much mess and I'd already given her too many chances.
There's so much I love about this newest book from the author duo known as Piper Rayne. There's miscommunication, mistaken perceptions, hot, dirty and all consuming sex, and a love story that's so much more emotional than I thought it was going to be.
Leo and Teegan are not the typical H/h all because, she thinks he goes one way and he doesn't know that's what she thinks, until one fateful night! Getting to that point though, we get a wonderful buildup of what could the beginning of having the love of your life. Teegan is a woman striking out on her own PR path and she's targeted Leo and his Canine Couture boutique...the only real problem is she's not a dog lover!
And so begins her days and nights spent with someone getting to know him and his business to be able to "make it happen" for Leo. I loved the banter between these two and Cooper, Leo's dog just added that much more to each scene cuz he LOVES Teegan. I have to give this girl credit, she's so tenacious and she's going to get Leo's business no matter what!!
For Leo's part, he's so attracted to Teegan and he can't understand why she's not picking up on his signals and how he wants her in every way possible. So what's a guy to do, but talk to his "besites." And here's where we get more Jagger and Vance. The three of them have the ability to make me snort laugh on almost every occasion! Vance is in love, and Jagger isn't so there's differing opinions.
As the story moves on and the misperceptions are all cleared up, our H/h get down and dirty and oh my....queue the fan coming out! Leo is a man that knows how to please a woman and when he's in, he's all in....the problem is that Teegan doesn't know what to do with all the emotions he's bringing out in her. I'm not going to lie, there times while reading that I had tears in my eyes for this beautiful woman. She's not a woman that's willing to be hurt more than most adding onto that Cooper and his determination to make her love him has her questioning everything.
Needless to say, there's so much more to this book. Leo is a man that can make a woman swoon, the question is, can Teegan open her eyes and heart to the possibility of having a love that is unlike any she's ever experienced before? Well, you'll need to read this one to find out. Trust me you're going to love every single minute of this book while getting to the answer to this question!!!!
It was a cute story. Predictable. I thought it was over about half way through and maybe it should have been. It was an interesting premise with our hero being mistaken as gay.
Oh my goodness we get another Hot book from the our girls PIPER RAYNE and I'm so excited to read it. This is the second book in the Dirty Truth series (Leo and Teegan story). Leo came to LA to make his dreams of being a actor come true but when that crashed and burned he took his seamstress skills he learned from his mom and put them to use to open a high end doggy parlor!!! Everyone thinks he is gay because of this and all the magazine print this, he doesn't care what others think, he knows what he is and who he is. That is until one day Teegan walks into his store. She is beautiful even if she is the new PR person he is going to potentially hire to take his designs to chain stores nationwide.
Teegan has a lot of hang ups when it comes to relationships because of her past with her mom, but Leo will not let her get caught up in her head. When crap hits the fan can Teegan hold onto what they have or will she run for the hills and can Leo save her or will he walk away?
I found this book to be so easy to read and enjoy the banner between the characters. I love that we got to see some of the characters out of the Dirty Truths book 1 and we got to meet new characters too. I felt all the emotions that was put into this book also. I simple devoured this book in a couple of hours and couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what the girls give us next.
This book was brilliant and I found myself unable to put it down. The story just flowed from the pages and kept me gripped and wanting to know the out come. I read this book in a day. Shopping and a trip to Belgium were involved but it didn't stop me picking this book up at every opportunity.
Leo is a brilliant character. He is amazing a doesn't care what people think and is so solid in his sexuality that's doesn't care to correct people, when they presume that he isn't an alpha heterosexual male that's dominant and commanding in the bedroom.
Teegan is one of the people who mistakes this about Leo but she finds his pull hard to ignore. Even though she works for him, she is drawn to the forbidden and completely want her "gay" boss. Well I will leave the rest of the story telling to Piper Rayne as I am sure you'd prefer that.
Piper and Rayne are fast becoming a must read, straight up without thinking one-click authors for me and I highly recommend this book, series and other series. As they are light, sexy and funny as hell. You won't be disappoint as I can honestly say I never am. Get clicking folks.
Doggie Style by Piper Rayne is everything we have come to love from this duo! It was witty, sexy, and deliciously humorous.
We met Leo and is slobbering dog, Cooper in Vance's book, The Manny. If you read the Manny it really set the tone for Doggie Style. It has the same basic trope, but with a really fun twist! It was truly comedic gold. I don't think I have read any other story with the same concept as Doggie Style.
Cooper designs dog clothes for the rich and famous, the elite of L.A and he really wants to expand far and wide to take his clothing to the next level. In comes, gorgeous control freak, Teegan.
"Those pink cheeks are as addictive as those chips they put out at Mexican restaurants."
Teegan is focused and driven to prove herself to Leo, but he is temptation personified for her and at times she finds herself distracted by him. Along with the men and the women who come into his shop to outfit their pups.
Doggie Style is a must read for all romantic comedy lovers! It will keep you on your toes and giggling right up until very end!
Doggy Style is a cute, fun romance between Leo and Teegan, but the real star of the book is Cooper, the dog.
This, the second book in the Dirty Truth series, is well-written, has a bevy of fun characters, an alpha hero and a strong heroine. But, that was about it for me. It isn't that I didn't like the book, I did, but it wasn't my favorite. The drama was high and then it was just resolved, just like that and at about the midway point in the book. There wasn't a fluid transition from the drama to the sexy times. Also, I didn't feel the sexual tension that has been present in the other books. The sex scenes were good and hot, as I have come to expect from this writing duo, but even then they are few and far between. Lots of great secondary characters. Teegan was great, but I wasn't sold on Leo. Cooper the dog... he was the star. That dog was hilarious!
Entertaining with a good plot, but just falls a little short in the execution.
Piper Rayne has just delivered another hit! I'm so loving this duo and their ability to collaborate on amazing stories. Teegan and Leo's story is absolutely friggin' hilarious. Piper and Rayne's trademark humor is all over this book and is at it's best. You just have to love those times when you get a case of the giggle fits in the waiting room of a doctor's office. Yup, that was me several times while reading this. I don't want to give anything away because the spoilers are just itching to spew forth. This was cute, hilarious, sexy, and just what I have come to expect from the duo. I'm eager to get Jagger's story next. He's not my favorite. I honestly really don't care for him all that much but just like Dane, I hope he knocks me off feet.
Piper Rayne are becoming automatic one clicks for me. I love Leo’s chosen occupation no one writes about a straight male designing dog clothing. I liked the attraction between Leo and Tee, it’s funny she was attracted to him but held back because she thought he was unavailable. Leo wondering why she was holding back made for some funny scene. Things get a bit drama full and their relationship gets tested. I loved Jagger he’s a total player, hilarious and needs the right woman to put him in his place. (Sophie) just saying.
Doggie Style gets high praise and belly rubs...lol I really enjoyed Leo and Teegan's story. Leo was completely unexpected, he's pretty perfect and almost to good to be true. Teegan's a little more complicated, reserved, and questioning her sanity at times because she's out of her element. This book was both full of hilarity and touching moments and generally a light hearted fun read. Definitely recommending you test the waters here! I even fell in love with the dog! #LeoIsMineAndSoIsCooper
Doggie Style by Piper Rayne is another fun read. Leo Vaughn is the sexy owner of Canine Couture who is in need of a new PR company to promote his products. Teegan Lowrey comes waltzing in and turns Leo's world up side down. Not only is he extremely attracted to her and vice versa but she thinks he's gay. A misunderstanding between these too leads to heartache but in the end it gets worked out.
„Hollywood Hearts – Mr. Dreamer“ von Piper Rayne ist der zweite Band ihrer unterhaltsamen Reihe L.A. Love Stories. Also laufen alle Flirtversuche seinerseits in Leere, was ihn langsam zur Verzweiflung treibt.
First, I have read all of the books up to this point, and was really disappointed in this one. The editing seemed much lazier that in the previous books.
Leo is one of three friends, and the second to get his story. He owns a doggie boutique, creating doggie fashion for the rich and ridiculous. Teegan is in Public Relations. She has just walked away from a firm because they apparently valued the work of men more women. She is trying to start her own firm, and begins with Leo's store. They have an instant attraction, but Teegan is told over and over by outside sources that Leo is gay. Leo never says this is the case, but innuendo and miscommunication seem to cement this thought for Teegan. Eventually, this misconception is cleared up, and Leo and Teegan start down the bumpy road to HEA.
I have really enjoyed so many of the other books, but this one really fell flat for me. The misconception about Leo's preferences drug out way too long, the emotional baggage each carried from their pasts was never really fleshed out (especially Leo's), and the end just felt rushed. I read most of the past stories in one sitting (or at least one day). This one I walked away from several times and felt like I had to force myself to finish. I am hoping Jagger's story is better. Read this one to keep the timeline and continuity moving.
Doggie Style is the second installment in the Dirty Truth Series and it follows Leo and Teegan in their story. Leo is a dog loving, dog clothes designer with sex appeal to spare and Teegan is the PR genius who is going to catapult his business. Together they embark on a sweet and sexy journey towards happiness that I enjoyed tremendously!
Leo is everything you could want in a man. He is handsome, kind, loving, sexy and 100% all in once he commits. He was burned in the past and is cautious about relationships and women.
Teegan wants to prove herself with her own PR firm and she is hell bent on succeeding. She is head-strong, determined and passionate about her work.
I loved that there was chemistry between them from the first page. They were sassy and sarcastic from their first meeting, but there was also a fire that was ignited when they were in the same room. Leo and Teegan fight their attraction, by is a losing battle because they are destined to be together. Piper Rayne writes fun and flirty characters and I just wan to be part of their world every single time I pick up one of their books! I seriously can’t wait for more from the Dirty Truth Series!
