This was book 1 in a new series too me. Dmitry Tsezar is head of the Russian Bratva but he has a secret. Courtney is going to spend time with her father after taking her test she is in college. When she walks in on Dmitrty's and his men collecting a payment from her father she tells them she will help her father. Dmitry tells her he will take her as payment and she has to live with him and do what he wants. They are both attracted to one another but they both fight it. Dmitry tells her she can't go into parts of the mansion but she goes anyway and finds a little girl in a coma that wakes up. Turns out Tati is his niece her parents died in a crash. This was a pretty good read from an author that I have read before. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. This book did leave off on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the next book.

Cliffhanger

There is a cliffhanger at the end. Interesting story. Keeps you reading to find out what will happen. Lots of betrayal and who can you trust. Definitely on to the next

before I start my real review I will say that overall this book was ok. I did like the mafia aspect in it I did like the romance aspect in it.
so those are all fine. I think for me I am more of a slow burn type of reader I like slow burn books word takes its time to really portray the relationship and everything. I did feel like this book moved a little bit too fast not even a little bit and moved very very very fast. Not even hours she’s taken captive by him she’s already doing things with him I was expecting a little bit of fighting a little bit of groveling a little bit of I hate you blah blah enemies to lovers type action I don’t really feel like they had any enemies aspect at all. I felt like this was just F buddies. I would’ve love to see a little bit of the enemies action but sadly there was none. But regardless this book was great and it’s own way I wasn’t expecting for it to end with a cliffhanger but I am just not going to purchase the next book I just don’t feel as if I really want to purchase the next book I feel like everything just moved way too fast in this book very fast and I think the reason why was because of the cliffhanger and because of the second book but I just it’s not my cup of tea and I will not be buying the second book.

Great Mafia story from Nicole Fox. Dmitry is the leader of the Bratva and he always sets an example. That’s why he decides to offer Olivia a chance to save her father and be his for the next 6 months. So many things happen that change both Olivia and Dmitry’s line of thinking during their time together. The Italians are after Dmitry and the surrounding territory putting everyone at risk. Just when things settle down Dmitry is betrayed, leaving us with an epic cliffhanger! I am counting down the days until the conclusion is released.

OMG THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING READ. THE PLOT IS BRILLIANT!! THE CHARACTERS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD DEEP, CONFIDENT AND PASSIONATE. THE CHEMISTRY IS OFF THE CHARTS, HOT AND SWEATY. THIS IS JUST AN AMAZING READ.
Dmitry Tsezar is the head of the Tsezar Bratva and is out collecting debts. When Lawrence, a local business man cant pay. The beatings start but secretly Dmitry likes the man so when Lawrence's daughter comes running in and starts to attack him he starts thinking of other ways the debt can be paid off but Courtney beats he too it when she offers to go with them to stop the beating. A deal is made 6 months of her life so her father can come up with the money!!
It isn't long before the attraction between Dmitry and Courtney goes crazy. They cant keep their hands off each other. Its explosive!!!!
Courtney has a back bone and the confidence to stand up to Dmitry if she doesn't agree with him. which Dmitry isn't used too but secretly likes. Its like she is a drug he cant keep his hands off her. Courtney is totally lost in her feelings for him. and suddenly 6 months doesn't feel so long.
The twist and turns in this book are amazing and will keep you hooked and let me tell you the cliff hanger at the end of this book will have you screaming so if you are anything like me it doesn't matter that its 2 o'clock in the morning you just have to start the second book straight away. who needs sleep when you get totally lost in Dmitry and Courtney's story.
This is a fantastic read. I was amazed and excited by this book. I am totally hooked in their story.

This author never fails to deliver, this is another heart stopping story that grips you from the first chapter. Nicole’s books have become my compulsion the writing is flawless they flow effortlessly and have equal amounts of twists and turns, betrayal, revenge scorching chemistry and steam. Dmitry Tsezar is a powerful Bratva Don and has had his fair share of grief in his life, when his best friend sells him out to the FBI his punishment is of course death which leaves Dmitry to collect the debts that people owe him. Laurence is one of those debtors, when he can’t pay Dmitry has to rough him up a little to show he means business, Courtney Laurences daughter is witness to this and offers herself as collateral for six months to save her father further punishment. Dmitry takes her to his home neither of them expecting that they would fall for each other. Dmitry has trust issues is Courtney playing him ?? When Courtney finds his hidden secret in the house are they doomed?? Surely things will not end well?? Is the chemistry strong enough to give them a HEA?? When once again danger raises its ugly head putting his family in the forefront will he be able to save them?? The answers are in the book including the massive cliffhanger at the end, who will survive?? Thank goodness book two is out soon !! Nightfall is the first book in the Tsezar Bratva Series from Nicole Fox. Plus your in luck as the second book Daybreak is already available. This book is dark and twisted and kept me reading from the beginning to the very end of the book. I couldn't get enough of it and my heart just about stopped with the cliffhanger. If you love your books dark and gritty and filled with things your not going to see coming. Your going to fall for these characters hard and you will want Daybreak in your hands the second this one is finished. I know I do and I am looking so forward to it. I know this review is vague but I don't want to give anything about this story away. I went into it blind and I loved every second and I sure don't want to ruin it for someone else.

Nightfall (Tsezar Bratva Book 1) - Nicole Fox

This was my first Nicole Fox book and now I’m hooked!

Courtney meets Dmitry Tsezar when she arrived home from college only to find out her father has been paying protection money to the Russian mob. Her father doesn’t have enough to make the payment so Dmitry says he will take Courtney for 6 months and consider her payment for what is owed and the next 6 months.

Any savvy book reader is going to know that Dmitry’s payment is really Courtney in bed for 6 months.

The book has twists and turns, lots of blood, the Italian mob fighting Dmitry’s Bratva and among all of that Courtney and Dmitry falling in love. It also turns out Courtney become pregnant.

The writer weaves a wonderful tale of filled with anger, anxiety, violence, and love. As the story moves along you get so hooked it is often hard to put it down. The ending just about did me in and within 5 minutes I had Part 2 of the (Tsezar Bratva) Daybreak on my iPad and finally had to lecture myself to put it down and get some sleep! I read these as books I got from Kindle Unlimited, but I am going to purchase them and keep them, because I know I will want to go back and read these books again.

You can’t go wrong with this one and the followup Daybreak!

What an exciting dark, twisted tale!!!

Just a quick note: This is book one in the Tsezar Bratva duet and ends on quite a twisted cliffhanger!!! I'm looking forward to reading Daybreak to find out what happens next.

Courtney is home on break from college when she interrupts an exchange between her father and Dmitry Tsezar. It seems her father is a little short on the months protection payment and they were roughing him up. Courtney offers herself up in exchange for her father and Dmitry agrees to her being with him for six months. With everything going on in Dmitry's life and the fact that he trusts no one, it's hard for Courtney to adjust to just sitting around the house and waiting for Dmitry. So when she discovers his secret it changes everything including the way she views Dmirty. There is constant betrayal going on behind Dmitry's back he doesn't know who to trust and things between him and Courtney get strained. This is an intriguing intense read and I'm so looking forward to Daybreak.

Interesting...

This was a REALLY good read. It definitely mirrored Beauty and the Beast with a hint of Jane Eyre which is not normally my thing (I prefer the originals NOT “modern fairytales”) anywho my only main complaint is that the H seemed to have people constantly get the better of him. While I don’t mind that happening maybe once, I want to see him actually come off as an alpha and that didn’t really come through in ANY of the situations the arose. Everyone kept getting the better of him or the h came to his rescue. I’m all for a strong h but I need me an equal H. That being said, I’m off to book 2, though I feel as though I may just be skimming through that book but we shall see...

An enthralling mafia romance that will capture the reader’s attention & keeps it until the last page is turned. It has a well-paced plot filled with unexpected occurrences. The characters have complex personalities & displayed determination combined with some deviousness to get their goals, while another character continues to struggles to survive the dangerous world she has been manipulated into.
There is: a young woman (Courtney) makes a deal with a Bratva Don (Dmitry) to take her instead of her father & he decides that he wants everything perhaps even her life then some complications occur & the situation changes, mafia/bratva, family issues, mafia rivalry, twists & turns, intrigue, action, deceit, betrayal, abduction, devious plans, manipulations, ultimatums, threats, verbal conflict, defiance, secrets, mystery, danger, enemies, conflict, death, violence, misunderstandings, confrontations, discovery, sadly this book does end with a cliffhanger but I look forward to the next book with great anticipation.

This book is about a mob boss with a secret. Dmitry Tsezar is fighting against the Italian mob they both want the same things...power, weapons, territory, and money. Dmitry is stabbed in the back by his best friend and has to run collections alone. While collecting he goes to the business owned by Lawrence. Lawrence has always been easy to deal with always had his protection money ready and waiting when Dmitry came to collect until this fateful day when he was short. Dmitry respected the old man but couldn’t appear weak in front of the guards. When he starts to make a deal with Lawrence, his beautiful daughter comes in and tries to protect her poor father. She offers herself in return for her dad being off the hook for the money he owes. She has to stay with Dmitry for 6 months as payment.

This was a fast paced story of exciting adventures from murders, kidnapping and many more crazy events.

I highly recommend this book for the hot scenes and exciting action. You never know who you can or should trust. Be ready for an action packed story!

This book takes you on a twisted rollercoaster and leaves you wanting more. Just when one mystery is solved another one is lurking around the corner. Will things ever settle down? Will living safely ever become the norm? Can trust ever be found again?

I can’t wait to dive into the second book of the Tsezar Bravata DAYBREAK. Hopefully it picks up where the cliff hanger left us with so many unanswered questions.

She accepts but she doesn’t expect that the life with Dmitri turns out is not really bad. In fact, these 2 ends up fallen in love but the enemies of Dmitri are waiting to ruin their happiness.

This story is intense and there are so many moving parts it can be a bit cumber sum keeping everything in order but their story is beyond worth it. Dmitry & Courtney are two unlikely people to end up together but when you dealing with the Bratva and debts owed there is nothing that is off limits. Courtney is a strong, stubborn woman and she is willing to do anything to keep herself and her family safe. She can't help but be attracted to Dmitry but there are so many dangers lurking that she doesn't know who to trust. Dmitry has fallen hard for Courtney and now that she is all his he won't let her go without a fight and unfortunately fighting is what he is going to have to do. His entire family is in danger now and everything he has worked for could be taking away in an instant. Remember this is a 2 book series so the conclusion is to come in Daybreak. Run...don't walk to read their epic conclusion. Buckle up it is going to be a wild ride. Happy Reading!

This is book one in the Tsezar Bratva series. This is book one of a duet. Welcome to the mafia world with a billionaire twist. This is Dimitry and Courtney's story. Courtney comes home from college on a break and walks in on Dimitry beating her father as her father owes him money and doesn't have it. Courtney offers herself as payment. Both of these characters have pasts and secrets. As their story unfolds and it will.grab onto with both hands, what happens when the secrets come out? This book no undoubtedly ends on a cliffhanger but the second book is released so I highly recommend getting then both and making yourself comfy. This is a dark and twisted tale sure to get your heart pumping as your turn these pages. Enjoy!

I highly recommend this suspenseful book which has well developed and believable characters and a dark twisted plot which includes mafia family rivalries, violence, betrayal, secrets, kidnapping, and sizzling chemistry. This amazing book ends in a cliffhanger which sets up the plot for the second novel in this duet entitled Daybreak.

Dmitry is the leader of the Tsevar Bratva. He runs the Bratva in a cool, calm, and collected manner. That is until he meets Courtney. When Courtney's dad can't provide his payments to the Bratva, Dmitry takes Courtney in exchange. Something about her draws him in. He doesn't know why or what, but she sparks something inside him. Courtney wants to hate him, but she feels the spark too. When she learns there's more to Dmitry than his good looks and being a ruthless Bratva leader, Courtney can't help but being drawn to him. The more time they spend together, the closer they get. When unexpected outside forces threaten them, they are drawn even closer. Is their love enough?

This is not a HEA and ends with a cliff hanger.

I enjoyed this one but the first part of the story is a little slow & cliche of a mafia romance. The Bratva Boss goes to collect on a debt, old man doesn’t have the money so he starts threatening and beating the man. Then in comes the beautiful brave daughter who tries to save her father but ends up being taken as collateral. The difference is Dmitry doesn’t treat her like a prisoner because he feels this crazy attraction towards Courtney. They have great chemistry and Courtney accepts his advances willingly.
It definitely became more entertaining & exciting half way through when Dmitry realizes his closest allies are setting him up & betraying him. Surprise cliffhanger which has me immediately reading the sequel daybreak.

I have never read a book by this author but I absolutely loved it! The book kept me on edge the whole time to the point where I stayed up until 3 am just to finish reading it. There were so many twists and turns and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved Dmitry and how much he cares about his family. He always puts them first. Courtney was a strong female character and they made such a great match. I also loved that the book was long and the author gave time for the relationship to realistically develop. This book is definitely worth reading. I’m so happy I found this author and I’m definitely going to read many more of her books.

Ok I did not know this would end in a cliffhanger but perhaps that's because I went in totally blind. So we start with he typical beauty and the beast trope, father owes bad guy money, bad guy takes daughter as collateral. Daughter falls in love with her captor who for being a mafia bad ass is surprisingly nice to h. Perhaps I have read too many asshole books. h doesn't really pretend to be that upset about being made to live with hot ass mafia boss either. H has a secret and h finds out, and from there on they all move to become one happy family. Feelings start to develop and they live happily ever after. Or do they? Apparently betrayal is everywhere, and just like Gavin Pyre, H should have known that you cannot just turn your back on crime because crime will find you...

This was one of the best well written Bratva novels in quite some time. It wasn't the normal "read and repeat" plot that sooooo many authors have reverted to. Thank goodness Ms. Fox knows how to not only write a good storyline, but makes her characters engaging, interesting and mysterious. The sexual connection between her characters is very realistic and believable. They have their flaws, their doubts and don't always make the right decisions. The insta-love connection that so many authors have diverted to, has run it's course. That fictional story line is not believable and makes the characters (especially the women) look pathetic.

Courtney and Dimitry's relationship is due in fact to her father's indebtedness to the Bratva forcing her to live with Dimitry for a period of time and submitting to him. She becomes his toy entering into a forced relationship of sex "among other things" for a period of time. Their relationship becomes sexual in nature but is riddled with anguish, love/hate and angst. It's a tumultuous ride for both characters as they work through Bratva issues as well as the addition of Dimitry's deaf niece from his dead brother and wife. There is so much emotion in this story between characters as well as times of happiness and times of anguish. It's well rounded with plenty of sexual attraction between the two characters to keep most readers engaged. The story is riveting with revelations, traitors, alliances and intrigue as well as a slow burn love story between Dimitry and Courtney. The story throws the reader a bit because it ends with Dimitry and Courtney married, with child but facing issues months' into their marriage. What happens after that leads to book two.

It's well done and very entertaining ending on a cliff hanger which I clearly expected.

Dmitry and Courtney's love story

Dmitry Tsezar is the Tsezar Bratva boss. He is powerful, broody, but trying to be more humane in his treatment of the Bratva family.
Courtney is a college student who's father is being protected by the Bratva, but he is unable to cover his monthly payment. Dmitry is willing to forgo payments for 6 months if Courtney is willing to live with him.
Dmitry has many enemies, both the Italian mob and disloyal members of his Bratva family.
The story becomes complicated. Courtney influences Dmitry, not always in a good way considering who he is and what he does.
The cliffhanger ending just made me angry, not at the principals but at 2 of the supporting characters.

My favorite book by Nicole Fox! This book is full of betrayal, murder, love, and some very big secrets. Dmitri and Courtney meet under dire circumstances but soon prove that their love burns hotter than any threat. Dmitri is stern, overprotective, and knows the responsibility his life burdens him with. Courtney is full of life and stands up for those she loves no matter what it costs her. She loves with her whole heart. Great writing, undeniable chemistry, and heartbreaking betrayal. Nightfall is a book you do not want to miss! Nicole Fox is rapidly becoming my favorite author. She can weave a tale that makes your heart ache but ultimately proves how strong true love really is. ❤️

From prisoner to lover

Dmitry was not interested in finding love he just wanted to run the Bratva and that's it considering one of his most trusted friends betrayed him that's untill he meets Courtney who is full of fire and is not afraid of him of the speak her mind. Courtney was just trying to make it though school and get her degree that's untill she comes home for break and she runs into stuff she had idea what she was walking into when she stopped at her dad's shop instead of going home and that's when she met the Devi him self with his strong jaw and piercing blue eyes what she didn't expect us to fall in love with him

Great read! Then again Nicole Fox always delivers. Courtney is the daughter of a man who is paying protection money to Demitry Tsezar. Courtney walks into her father's shop in time to see her father get a punch in the abdomen.

She wants to help her father with his debt and Demitry wants her to stay with him for 6 months until the debt is paid. She agrees. Courtney realizes she has feeling for Demitry and stays with him.While staying there she is told never to go into one of wings. During her time with Demitry she becomes his lover and he is falling in love with her, but fights it. Courtney still is going to university to get a degree in Psychology, because she wants to help people with their lives. While living with Dimitry she does go into the forbidden area of the house and she finds a little girl who is in a Coma. Shortly after she finds the little girl, the girl wakes up. She is the niece of Demitry. His brother and sister in law die in a car crash but the little girl, Tati, survives and has been in a coma since the accident. Th cliffhanger at the end is a shock. Leading to the next book
