This was book 2 in the " Tsezar Bratva" series. This book picks up where book one left off with Courtney and the girls kidnapped. When Dmitry wakes up and find that his family had been taken he will do anything he has to in order to get them back. This was a good read and it was dark than the first book. Courtney is locked on a ship with her daughters bound for a slave auction half a world away she doesn't know what to think did Dmitry sell her. Devon who is Sadie's boyfriend for the last year and a half is actually the son of the traitor Rurik who Dmitry killed is out for revenge along with his crazy mother Elena. Courtney and Sevastian who Elena tries to convince to turn on Dmitry are able to get out of the warehouse and get assistance. She comes back to the warehouse and gives herself up to cause a distraction while the back up that Courtney contacted was on the way to warehouse. This book had a lot of action in it Courtney who found her backbone she was smart and didn't panic she knew she had to safe her family. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.

This one just wasn’t for me. The majority of the story takes place on an illegal trading ship. Courtney & the children are kidnapped with plans of being sold in a Human Trafficking Ring. Dmitry is able to get a job on the boat as a disguised kitchen worker in the hopes of rescuing them. It had a dark feel with a lot of action and suspense but I just couldn’t stay interested. I had to keep taking breaks from reading . What truly ruined the story for me was how much sex Courtney & Dmitry had on the ship. Having sex with my husband would be the last thing on my mind if my children were being held prisoners by a bunch of dangerous men.

Ok

This book had moments I enjoyed but more moments that had me saying "seriously?". Picture yourself being held prisoner for weeks, just when you and your husband have a plan set to escape and you start to execute that plan you and your husband have to have sex first. I'm sorry, that makes absolutely no sense! A few of the characters I enjoyed and there were some good plot twists, but when you toss in silly scenes like that it pulls you out of the story which is never good.

4 1/2 Exciting Stars!!

Taking off immediately where the first book and cliffy ended, Dmitry was stunned and confused with the tragic kidnapping of his family. As these dramas go, I didn’t understand why they kept him alive, but I guess Elena was psychotic enough to want Dmitry to suffer, suffer, suffer.
Lots of twists and turns in this dramatic conclusion that focused entirely on rescuing his family from death.
Severely crippled in both power and resources, Dmitry gave up all of himself for Courtney, Tati, and Olivia.
The true strength behind this book was Courtney and the way she showed her character and willingness to sacrifice everything for her family.
I wasn’t too impressed with Sadie throughout the first book and the majority of this one, but the author gently brought her back into my good graces.
Loved the HEA as well as the way the author satisfied my thirst for retribution and revenge on the kidnappers.

In this installment Courtney and Dmetry are married , have baby Olivia and are raising his deaf orphaned
Niece together . I still loved Dmetry but hated Courtney and her dumb best friend , Sadie . Sadie just absolutely refused to see that her weirdo boyfriend could be someone other then he pretends to be and Courtney was always screaming at Dmetry for killing their enemies . She said there has to be another way . So she rather her , her kids , and her husband be killed trying to protect and defend themselves without hurting others . Uhm you married into the mob you idiot !

I really enjoyed the first book. But this one was just okay for me. Dmitri was weak for me and a little too trusting which is how people managed to take advantage of him and screw him over. Another point, as head of the Bratva, wouldn't Dmitry have connections to other Bratva members around the world? Couldn't he get in contact with them and ask them to help save Courtney? I found myself kinda flipping through pages because it felt drawn out. Nonetheless, I rated it 3 stars because the end was satisfying.

Don't mess with a Russian Don or his woman ................. they will get vengeance!!!

Daybreak is the second book in the Tsezar Bratva series by Nicole Fox and it carries on the story from Nightfall. This story continues with the same dark, dangerous, twisted, secrets and sizzling chemistry story-line. The book starts where Nightfall ended as Courtney wakes up to discover that she and the children (Dmitry's young niece and her and Dmitry's daughter) have been kidnapped and are going to be sold as slaves by human traffickers. In the meantime Dmitry wakes up after being drugged to discover that Courtney and the kids have been kidnapped, his guards have been either killed or betrayed him and there are still traitors around him. But Courtney will not go quietly or easily and both she and Dmitry plot and fight to get back to each other.
This story is highly charged with drama, betrayals, danger, suspense and at the heart love, devotion and protectiveness between Dmitry and Courtney and then also the two daughters. Nicole Fox has once again written a story and characters that are intricately woven, complicated, deep and dark but also with love and redemption.
I highly recommend the Tsezar Bratva duet to other readers.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

This is the conclusion to a fascinating & enthralling mafia romance. The continuation of the story from the first book “Nightfall” into this book is smooth & flawless. It has a well-paced, exciting plot filled with unexpected occurrences. There is excellent scene descriptions & world building. The characters have complex personalities & portray realistic emotional feelings & react accordingly to them. I particularly liked the way the female character (Courtney) developed through the story to become a emotional-strong woman with good instincts & determination.
There is: a young woman (Courtney) makes a deal with a Bratva Don (Dmitry) to take her instead of her father only to discover who she really is then the situation changes, mafia/bratva, family issues, mafia rivalry, human trafficking, auctions, twists & turns, intrigue, secrets, mystery, danger, action, traitors, deceit, betrayal, abduction, threats, danger, violence, enemies, death, murder, drugs, devious plans, abuse, beatings, manipulations, verbal conflict, defiance, confrontations, escape attempts, courage, vengeance, retribution, love, redemption & a wonderful, well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this duet & would recommend it.

Daybreak (Tsezar Bratva Book 2) - Nicole Fox

The story begins with Dmitry waking up in the nursery and Courtney, Tati and baby Olivia are missing. Gone, disappeared! Taken by Devon, the son who had been hidden for years by his right hand man Rurik and his wife Elena. His own guards shot dead, where are they? Where has Devon taken them? Dmitry has to find this out and go after them.

If you think there is darkness in Nightfall (book 1) there is so much more in this. The hidden world of human trafficking, hatred, tangled up with the love of a father/husband trying to find his girls. There is no hiding it, I did cry when reading some parts, how Tati, who had already been traumatized when her parents were killed was dealing with how Devon and Tiger were treating not just her, but Courtney and the other women. It gets to you but you never give up hope while you are reading this story.

Can Dmitry save them, will the family actually survive this.

You wonder right up until almost the end, can there be a Happily Ever After for this family.

5 stars for this book and it’s prequel Nightfall. Well done!!

This is an epic conclusion to Dmitry and Courtney's love story. Courtney and her family have been kidnapped by Devon & Elena and they will stop at nothing to destroy everything that Dmitry holds close. They will not stop until they have their revenge. However, Courtney is the Queen of the Tsezar Bratva and she will not go quietly. She has a plan and she will find allies to help make her plan come to light but she has a lot of things to overcome before she can implement it. However, when she sets her mind there is no stopping her. She really comes into her own during this book and she is such a powerful and empowering character. You will love all her actions and how determined she is to safe everyone she loves. She will not go quietly and Dmitry couldn't be prouder than he is about his amazingly strong, confident, and beautiful wife. This book brings their story full circle and it is quite empowering and beautiful. Also, it is very sexy and you will love their epic love story. Happy Reading!

Loved this exciting conclusion to this dark, twisted duet!!!!

This is the second book in the Tsezar Bratva duet, please be sure to read Nightfall before reading this book.

After all the betrayals, secrets and lies Dmitry must go it alone if he ever expects to get his girls back. When he finds out what Devon's plans are for them he is livid, but he must contain his anger and blend in with the rest of the crew if he expects to get the girls back. Things are looking completely hopeless and it's going to take a miracle for everyone to make it back alive. This is an excellent duet and I highly recommend it!

ONE NAILBITING ADVENTURE!!!
Ah Hell! Nicole nailed this bad boy perfectly and kept me riveted on a razors edge from start to finish. A churning vortex of inadvertent consistencies catapults your swirling emotions into play fluidly. Twixt and twined and put through the wringer blasts this piece of perfection bursting to life beautifully. Sparks fly as drama, tension, betrayal, intrigue, danger and suspense spirals fusing this baby together flawlessly. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and qualities that are well blended and balanced. With 100% on point realism along with amazing scenarios that are so colorfully described its like you're living it with them instead of on the sidelines. Fabulous job Nicole, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Book Two...

I’ll be honest, all I did was skim through this book and then kind of read the epilogue. I personally don’t know why a second book was needed for this couple, in fact I would have cut out the last few chapters of the first book and it would have been much better. I did initially try to genuinely read this book but it really seemed like a waste of time and I found myself wondering about what other great couple I could start to read about instead. As it stands it just felt like it dragged on and on there at the end. I kept wondering if it was finally over just for it to have ANOTHER time jump. That being said, what I read of this book was well done, I just personally was over this H/h combo.

I have never read a book by this author but I absolutely loved it! The book kept me on edge the whole time to the point where I stayed up until 3 am just to finish reading it. There were so many twists and turns and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved Dmitry and how much he cares about his family. He always puts them first. Courtney was a strong female character and they made such a great match. I also loved that the book was long and the author gave time for the relationship to realistically develop. This book is definitely worth reading. I’m so happy I found this author and I’m definitely going to read many more of her books.

Book 2

I enjoyed reading Book 2 a lot better than Book 1. What bothers me is in an effort to make their husband "a better man" they emasculate them. I liked it better, in my opinion that Dmitry be the bad ass he was in book 1.
Courtney on the other hand must have found what she had taken from her husband and saved the day. For this genre of book-Mafia, they guy is the alpha.

Something Weird that I don't understand. Basically, I can't believe this. But a woman is in a cargo container. Dirty. Hungry. Weak. Why would she want to have sex?

Daybreak picks up where it left off in Nightfall. Dmitry is completely lost with the kidnapping of his family by former friends. He will do anything to get them back. Elena is determined to make Dmitry suffer in the worst way possible. She is completely out of her mind with revenge. Her son, Devon is not much better. Courtney and the girls are set to be sold overseas into sex trade. She is told that Dmitry agreed to sell them. Dmitry finagles is way onto the ship where they are hidden. Will he get them out in time? Will they get their happy ever after? I was lost in the story and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

What a fantastic conclusion to the first book Nightfall, Dmitry is just a dream husband/ Boyfriend, the love he has for his family is unconditional. In this book Nicole has upped the ante, the tension, drama, betrayal and passion is increased ten fold, the storyline just pulls you in with the unpredictability on each page you turn and read, will Courtney and Dmitry get there HEA read this book you will definitely not be disappointed. One thing for certain Nicole Fox is one hell of a writer. I was given this book as an ARC by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was happy to leave.

“Did the man of my dreams sell me to the monster of my nightmares? I don’t want to believe it. But no matter how hard I pinch myself, the horrors won’t go away.”

I read this in one sitting. I could not walk away from this story. It pulled at my heartstrings, had me at the edge of my seat and let my nerves knotted until the final pages. I don’t want to give away anything...just hand on tight for a rollercoaster ride of twist and turns and emotion overload.

“I’ve failed my family. I’ve failed to protect my family in full view of my men, and if they see me lose my wits, I will have lost all of my dignity. There will be no coming back from it.”

Part 2 of Dmitry and Courtney's story

This book picks up where the first book ended with Dmitry waking up in the nursery, realizing his wife and daughters have been kidnapped.
85% of the book is stressful and violent, as Dmitry plots to save his girls from captivity. People are beat up, tortured, and starved throughout the book.
I did not enjoy this book. I can't believe that it wasn't available on Kindle Unlimited and that I actually paid $5+ to read it.
My recommendation is to not take the first book for free and just skip this duet.
I kindly rated it 2 stars because it was well written, but that doesn't change my recommendation.

This is the conclusion to Nightfall and let me just say WOW !! Y’all about fast paced, action and suspense. So many twist and turns that’ll have you like NOOOOO !!!! I LOVED IT !! The whole storyline was amazing and the characters are still great !! I gotta hand it to Dimitry he really stepped up in this book. I was disappointed in him in the last book as how he could be so naive. Courtney is definitely one to watch out for moma bear is a protector for sure. Get this and Nightfall and you will NOT be disappointed !! HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING !!

With Courtney, Tati, and Olivia kidnaped at the end of book 1, Daybreak picks up the next day when Dmitry awakes from being drugged by his girls' kidnapper. He will stop at nothing, destroy anything, and pay any price to get his family back. What he never expected was the treachery and deception within his own ranks. This book is the perfect completion to the Tsezar Bratva Duet, intrigue, suspense, drama, and more. this was a page turner from start to finish. I loved this duo and I can't wait to see what Nicole Fox comes up with next.

This is book two in the Tsezar Bratva duet. If you have not read Nightfall, go back as this book picks up right at the cliffhanger ending. Courtney still does not believe that Dimitry would turn his back on her, like she is lead to believe. With the walls closing in and the slave action approaching, she is no longer so sure. Will Dimitry come through and rescue Courtney, his wife? Another hair raising read to a fantastic conclusion. What a great story and a roller coaster ride from start to finish. Enjoy!

After finishing book 1 I jumped straight into reading this second book. Wow! This is such an action-packed book with so many twists and turns. I was sitting on the edge of my seat at times as I read this book. I couldn’t read it fast enough, I was completely enthralled and fixated on what was happening and where the author was taking us next. I loved and I do mean LOVED this story. If you enjoy Mafia romance then grab this and book 1, you shall not be disappointed.

4 1/2 ⭐️ to this action packed conclusion of Dmitry and Courtney’s story! Their tale picks up right where Nicole Fox left us hanging in Nightfall. So many unexpected things happen that made this a page turner of a story. My heart was torn in several parts of this and it still has some lingering pain with the loss of so many characters. Loved that Courtney really portrayed her inner strength and basically carried on for Sadie, Tati, Olivia and the other women. Fabulous duet and highly recommended!

This is the 2nd book in this fascinating series and continues straight on from where #1 ended. Courtney wakes up to find herself and the children kidnapped and to be sold to slave traffickers; while Dmitry also wakes up to find them gone, and he will do whatever he has to in order to get them back. This is a well written story which is dark and filled with drama, twists, betrayal, suspense, danger, and love. I was completely hooked throughout this addictive page turner, and I highly recommend for all.

Part 2 - you can't wait for it

Thank goodness for the fact that this book was published when I finished Nightfall! I didn't want to waste a minute before downloading it. The cliffhanger was brutal. Just when I lost hope Dmitry and Courtney price that love combined with unyielding belief and courage saves the family again and again. Just when you breathe easy that they've escaped they're caught again. Elena is a cruel protagonist!
