Broken from a failed marriage, Kirsten takes her mother's advice and heads out for a Christmas vacation to avoid the loneliness of her empty home. Not interested in romance and missing her children who are with their father and his new girlfriend, Kirsten attempts to embrace the change of scenery, hoping to bump herself out of the months long funk.

Ridge does an excellent job of creating strong characters, one of her specialties. As Kirsten comes out of her shell, a casual romance develops between her and Dale, the son of the inn's owner. The reader is given a wonderful story of recovering from heartbreak while having holiday magic sprinkle throughout. There was no rush to replace her ex-husband with a true love and there's no forced connections between the characters. This was a breath of fresh air. Touching and sweet with a feel for reality, 'A Sprinkle of Love' is an enjoyable read, one that I read in August and still found wonderfully fun.

I highly recommend 'A Sprinkle of Love.'

A short read for Christmas this book as a nice message within it, a sweet little love story about moving on from failed love to something more, I liked the story. Where this fell down for me was a few editing issues and some contradictions, the biggest of which was Kristen says she’s giving up her house because of a mortgage after a divorce, but she’s going on a holiday to England, and then mentions her parents have a lot of money. The editing issues were enough it bothered me, English/American spelling inconsistencies, punctuation, and a few scene changes that don’t transition well. Its still a sweet story, great character development and I liked how nontypical the plot was, usually romances have a set pattern, and this doesn’t just break them, it does it well. A very sweet Christmas read.

I ABSOLUTELY loved this story. It’s a short read, and even though I want more of these characters it was paced perfectly and flowed well.

The story is heartfelt, believable, and brinks the stereotypical romance mold without the reader even realizing it. The characters - primary, secondary and even some tertiary - were well developed, relatable and in some cases irresistible.

I read this is one sitting and can’t wait to read more from this author.

If you want a story with romance, holiday feels, laughs, and the gentle ease of a Lifetime movie or Hallmark holiday special - this is the book for you!

I really enjoyed this festive short. Newly single and facing her first Christmas alone, Kirsten travels to England to spend Christmas at a guest house belong to her mother's friend. Cue Dale, mother's friend's son. What follows is a heart warming holiday romance/friendship, and a period of self discovery for Kirsten. The ending gave me all the feels!

Loved it.
The perfect 'feel-good' Holiday romance.
Kirsten is heartbroken, recently divorced, and her ex has their kids for Xmas. The story's written in the first-person, which makes the pain caused by the hole in Kirsten's heart even more acute. She wallows in self pity, not knowing how to live. Her Mom and Dad send her to spend the Holidays in England.
She meets Blake at the airport lounge and, to her surprise, tells him everything...then she gets on the plane.
You're willing Kirsten to move on, but she's stubborn. She meets Dale, no sparks, but some attraction. You hope...holiday romance, but the hole in Kirsten's heart keeps getting in the way.
The story does have a happy ending...but not the one you expect. This romance novel will keep you turning the pages all the way to 'the end.'
I recommend you add 'a Sprinkle of Love' to your 'to be read' list.

Somewhat entertaining read, especially with the British terminology in the mix, yet with questionable good English at times. More like a fling than romance and it doesn't cut it quite as sweet. Lovely cover on Amazon, cute title, and different plot than most that makes it unique as a Christmas story.
