This year, Travis and Molly finally come home for Christmas.
Travis Ford ALWAYS loved his neighbor Molly Gunther. From grade school to high school, she was his goddess. But he was the shy, nerdy geek and she was the brainy bombshell homecoming queen. But at a Christmas party during Senior Year, they shared a moment under the mistletoe that blew both their socks off. After that, they were inseparable- madly in love and crazy in lust. Until high school graduation sent Molly chasing her dreams in New York and Travis following his father’s expectations.
Twelve years have passed. Twelve years of carefully calculated distance to avoid the past. And now, for the first time they’re both home for Christmas. Can they pick of the pieces, fight for love and chase new dreams together? This second chance holiday romance, is sweet and steamy, with two soul mates, no cheating and a guaranteed happy ending for everyone!
Matilda is a Texas girl in love with a Philly boy who loves to write dirty books about two people who trip into love and fumble their way into a Filthy, Funny, Happily Ever After.
I live in Austin, with my husband, two crazy Chihuahuas and an even crazier cat. And I spend most of my day writing dirty romance books about older men who fall in love with younger women and make fools of themselves trying to win their hearts.
If you love Dark Romance, you’ve come to the wrong place. I don’t like dark heroes.
I like my hero to be successful, sweet, suave, sophisticated and kind--- and then I want him to lose all his composure and game when he meets the heroine. I want him to turn into a bumbling idiot when he spots the girl of his dreams and revert to a teenage boy in a man’s body trying to win her.
I like my heroines to be witty, intelligent, and unshakeable---who could do just as well without a man—until the hero convinces her otherwise.
I write A LOT OF AGE GAP--because I LOVE AGE GAP ROMANCE. I’ve got no other excuse for it.
No matter what kind of story it is, my ladies are ADORED, and my endings are always Happily EVER AFTER, not HFN.
Ehh this was okay, it was steamy and it had its cute moments but like always with novellas this length, I just wanted more! It was simple and cute though!

Avoid if You Don’t Like High Profanity in Christmas Books
I feel absolutely disgusted by this book; I feel as though I should take a shower or hop into an autoclave. I am never a fan of profanity in novels or books of any sort. Unless truly contextual and character driven, I do not see a place for it in any kind of writing. It's just ugly, and frankly, I think it shows a lack of imagination or language ability of a “writer.” So I was turned off nearly immediately with all the swearing in this book. Within one Kindle page, I found four F-bombs, and the first couple pages of this book were just littered with different swear words. I was turned off completely. I think that writers should always say in the book description whether or not there is profanity as some of us just do not like it. If I had known the level of profanity in this book, I would have definitely passed it by at my favorite book review site. As I know there are other readers like me, I am posting this as a warning so that you may avoid it if you do not wish to have your holiday reading soiled with potty-mouthed characters. I think I do find it particularly offensive in this book because this is a holiday romance. I believe that Christmas romances in particular should be free of swearing. Given the religious nature of the holiday, it seems disrespectful of the true meaning of the season. Also, in the book description, the author described it as “sweet and steamy.” In the way that the word “sweet” is typically used in romance, a story cannot be both sweet and steamy; it is one or the other. And with the level of profanity, no one could call this story sweet.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review--obviously.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second chance romance between Travis and Molly. They were high school sweethearts after being friends and neighbors all their lives until Molly was accepted to school in New York and Travis broke up with her when she went instead of staying with him. Now years later, Travis is returning home for Christmas after avoiding it for years, and Molly happens to return also. When Travis;s plane landed and he was headed to get a taxi home, he heard a voice and realized it was Molly's mother. She was there to pick up Molly and Travis realized he wanted to spend time with Molly. travis used the time to talk to Molly and to get her to agree to see him again. Travis regretted letting Molly go and wanted another chance. Molly never got over Travis and wished they were still together, but she was scared he was going to break her heart again. i really enjoyed this story. I liked Travis, i think he grew up a lot and realized Molly had to follow her dreams to be happy. I think They both still loved each other and wanted to be together. Good one.
Travis Ford and Molly Gunther are both going to be home in Austin for Christmas this year. Twelve years ago, they fell in love kissing under the mistletoe. They grew up next-door to each other. They were best friends and then it turned into more. However, when Molly get accepted into Julliard, Travis begged her to stay in Texas. He made her choose between him and New York. She chose her dream of New York.
Travis lives in Philadelphia now. Molly went to Julliard and stayed in New York. She has finally got her big break and is going to be playing at Carnegie Hall. Their planes land in Austin about 15 minutes apart. Molly’s mom sees Travis and tells him that she will give him a ride home. In the car on the ride home, Molly’s mom suggests that both families go see the Christmas lights.
I loved that Molly’s mom was pushing Travis and Molly together. I hoped that they would get their second chance at romance.
Mistletoe & Molly is a sweet second chance at love romance between Molly and Travis. They grew up next door to each other and in senior year shared a kiss under the mistletoe and became high school sweethearts. But graduation brought the question of do you leave to pursue your dream or stay to be together but then what. Molly had a dream of attending Julliard in NYC and she went for it. Unfortunately this left Travis behind in their home town in Texas. It is now twelve years later they are about to come face to face for the first time. Will the magic of the holidays bring them back together or will then part again to go their separate ways?
This is a nicely written short story which made me laugh and pulled at the heartstrings.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Molly and Travis grew up next door neighbors. They had gone together even though he was sort of a nerd in high school. They had their first sexual experience together. Then high school graduation came along and both left. She won a spot at Juilliard and he went to Philadelphia to finish college and start his own business. Even though Philadelphia was relatively close to New York, his pride kept him away. He had given her a choice—New York or him and she chose New York. Both were miserable missing each other.
Now it’s twelve years later and both arrive at the Austin, Texas airport at the same time. She asks why he didn’t come to New York and fight for her. He tells her he was stupid but wants a second chance. He’s always loved her and there will never be anyone else. She feels the same. The wedding soon follows.
This was a nice feel-good story of two people who were meant for each other. Travis Ford had loved Molly Gunther since they were children. By the time they were in high school, after an incident with the mistletoe at a party, they were dating and happy. But graduation is a time of change, and Molly had her dream of attending Juilliard. So she left while he stayed behind.
After 12 years, Molly and Travis are both home for Christmas. Will their old feelings flare up again? Will they find that the years haven’t changed how they feel? Is there hope for a second chance?
This was a fun read. The characters are well-portrayed and likable. Grab your copy and enjoy a cute holiday romance!
Travis was in love with the girl next store since the age of six. Finally during senior year of high school Travis managed to make Molly his girl. They spent seven blissful months together. Heartbrake hit the couple when it was time for Molly to leave the confines of Texas for the Big Apple and her chance at Juilliard. Twelve years later, the couple are finally forced face to face. And what happens is nothing short of magical. The story was an easy read and characters were charming. I found myself laughing on multiple occasions at their inner monologue that is peppered through the story.

Love and friends since childhood, he did not react well when she wanted to leave for Juliard. Me or the music predictably lead to her going off to New York, and both of them being broken hearted.
His father always looked for signs in things. When he finally comes home after the death of his father and his uncle, guess who was at the airport? A sign?
Sometimes a young live needs time for folks to chase their dreams and grow up a little- or a lot.
Sweet and kinda steamy second chance romance

Travis and Molly were next door neighbors growing up and high school sweethearts. After graduation they each went their separate ways due to different dreams for their futures and have managed to avoid each other ever since. When they both come home for Christmas, will they realize they belong together? Will they each get their HEA? A well written story about a second chance at love that's enjoyable to read. .

Short beautiful love story. This is such a sweet love story that makes you feel all warm inside. I loved Travis & Molly despite how things ended between them 12 yrs ago they still loved each but both too stubborn to reach out until now. When they see each other at the airport although they have grown up & looks changed there is still that spark of chemistry between them that had me reading this story in one go.

Mistletoe and Molly was not what I expected when I started reading it. It had more plot then a lot of steamy romances and a good back story that I wish we would have gotten to read more of. Travis and Molly are a couple of wayward lovers who find their way ‘stuck’ together during the Christmas season. Absolutely an 18+ read but a good one. I’m glad I picked it up. This is an ideal read for anyone who adores romance and wants to be able to finish an entire story in one setting. Over all, I think Martel did a good job writing this little story.
Tis the Season for fantastic holiday reads and “Mistletoe and Molly” is just that! ✔️Second chance romance goodness. ✔️Hot Alpha Male who goes (snow) balls deep to get back the only woman he’s ever loved. ✔️Sweet and Sexy heroine who wears her heart on her sleeve. ✔️A meddling mama who wants grand babies yesterday. ✔️And a Happily Ever After that will leave you sighing and happy. Another great book by Matilda Martel that you should most definitely TBR ASAP. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good read tonight.
This is a quick cute second chance kind of book. A love that was started so young to youth making the choices that continued to keep them a part. As they had a second look at their lives and have grown they were able to find their way back to each other. There were some parts that I felt were a little wordy but I am not a big second change book reader and I did enjoy the story line. The author did a great job of describing the pain of lost and the passion of coming back together. I will look into other book by this author to see what else I can find.
Mistletoe & Molly was a wonderful holiday story of second chances. I loved this entertaining book featuring Molly and Travis who were neighbors and then high school sweethearts. They separate by choices and life occurrences but meet again years later. As they reconnect, they learn they still love each other. They journey to make their second chance count and find their happy ever after. This is my first time reading Matilda Martel and I plan to read more.
A sweet coming home romance. A second romance of childhood bestfriend turned love and seperated because immaturity. Relatable. But oh, it's so sweet all over. The plot was fast with great details on the background stories and flashbacks. It was just a good addition to enhance the feelings. All warm, fuzzy, and a good "awww" for the holiday!!

What an amazing, heartwarming holiday read. I was sad that they clearly had strong feelings for each other and do much time had past where they never saw each other, but I loved how Travis wasn’t going to make that same mistake again and he fought for her. I loved how he still snuck in her bedroom window and by how much he was clearly in love with her. It was such a beautiful read.
12 years ago Travis and Molly were inseparable after a kiss under the mistletoe in senior year but then after graduation molly got a placement in newyork and Travis broke up with her. But now Travis is back in town for Christmas having avoided it all this time, and so is Molly, when their paths cross will a second chance be in the cards? Well written fast paced steamy festive romance
Second chance at love for Molly and Travis. Being neighbors for all their lives and falling in love with each other makes things harder when you move on to start your careers. That’s what second chance at love is all about. A nice, sweet read that will keep you interested from the beginning to end with a happy ending

Travis and Molly have never gotten over each other despite it being 12 years since they last saw each other. Their parting was not on the best terms but Travis vows to win Molly’s heart and treat it better this time in this cute holiday tale.
An enjoyable holiday story about a second chance couple. My biggest issue was that they read more like a teenage romance than like the nearly 30 year olds that they were today. But it's short and cute still and has a happy ending for them both.
