Turns out, punching zombie bears isfun.

Who knew?

Enter the world of Metamorphosis Online,a fully immersive video game where players compete for spots in the Global Top 10—ranks that actually pay you to play the game.

Gracie doesn't play the game to make money…at first.

You Need A Bigger Sword:

Broke, single, and working a crappy job as a blackjack dealer, Gracie's just blowing off steam and having fun.

Can playing a new type of immersive game help her overcome real-life issues, or will it cause more problems?

Before she knows it, Gracie has intervened in a generations-long war between the kobolds and the fae and started a ragtag guild, and her weird math abilities make themselves known in a way that most could not have imagined.

Can she deal with being pitted against the game developers?

For the first time Gracie can remember, she has something worth fighting for.

The New Queen Rises:

Will the creators of Metamorphosis Onlineand their infighting ruin the game for everyone?

Over Gracie’s dead avatar.

Others want to learn what is allowing Gracie’s team to jump in the ranks, and are willing to go to great and scuzzy lengths to figure it out.

The group has decided to form a guild, but can they hold it together long enough to figure out a team tabard?

Can Gracie hold her team together while her personal life is going nowhere? Will she accept her mom’s invite to join the family for her sister’s engagement?

Metamorphosis Online is changing lives… Some for the better, some for the worse

The only thing Gracie believes is the power of her family…her digital family. She’s learning that the rest of life is just details.

Reign With Axe And Shield:

No one wanted Gracie to become the Queen - hell,Graciedidn’t want to be the Queen.

She is, though, and people are just lining up to take shots at her. Some want her gone, some want what she has…

…And one of them is determined to destroy the entire game if he can’t get what he wants.

Which means that Gracie might just have to team up with the absolute last people she wanted to: Dan and Dhruv.

About the author

Natalie Grey

Natalie Grey grew up in rural New England, surrounded by a lot of vegetables and relatively little excitement. Therefore, she was obliged to make up excitement by pretending to be a knight, mage, jet-setting international assassin, jedi, or (occasionally) a shape-shifting dragon. She read everything she could get her hands on, from Lord of the Rings to Modesty Blaise, and eventually started writing her own stories full of what-ifs and snarky put-downs. Now she lives with her two German Shepherd mixes in the frozen wilds of Minnesota, and does a lot of inventive swearing while she shovels.

OMG!

This boxed set is totally un-put-downable! I started reading the first book, finished and started the second until, before I knew it, it was 3:00am! I decided to be sensible so I went to sleep but... I have to say that I haven’t been as tied up in a book since Bethany Anne in Death Becomes Her. I don’t play online games but if there was a game like this with total immersion I think I’d be in it! Gracie is not BA but she’s a great character. All the characters are so real and well written that you feel so connected to them. It’s one of those stories that you don’t want to end but, where do you go from here. There are questions of course so, maybe, there will be something more?

When collaborations go right

MA has outdone himself as he does a extremely well emotional LitRPG story where the main storyline isnt the usual stuck in a world ,but what makes people bond within the world.
Why escapism is important and how moral choices in real life ,and in game might be more important than others have previously written about.
This is designed to engage the reader and it works so well i had to give this 5 stars.
Books 1 and 2 are very good and even if 3 drops slightly this is something i will be keeping an eye out for more.

Great story, fun and entertaining

I don't give very many stories the full five stars, but this one hit all the marks for me. I devoured it in one weekend, and it's left me wishing for more, but at the same time, I'm satisfied with the ending. This is a seemingly rare litrpg that's more LIT than RPG, but maybe that makes it gamelit? I don't know the difference, honestly. If you're looking for stat tables and spell descriptions, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a great story wrapped in the trappings of a VR game, stay and read!

I love this series!

I have these titles separately also, but couldn't resist the omnibus. It's just as good the second time around! This series encouraged me to try some other LitRPG titles and find another genre I like! Great author - I've read almost everything he and his co-authors have written, but their production is do fast, it's difficult to keep up - and isn't that what you really want?!

An endorsement for online gaming.

Well, for the camaraderie of avatar games. Face to face tabletop games were hard to find before COVID-19. Now even I am tempted to role play online despite the trolls. This is a novelization of how friends are made through technology.

Gracie is aptly named .

As a human living in our world, she is somewhat different, but it's the best thing that could have helped her.
