I never knew a smile had the power to change the course of a life… Until she smiled at me and shifted my world off its axis.
My writer’s block? Gone. My band’s music? Revitalized. My heart? Hers.
There’s no way I couldn’t marry her the first chance I got.
They said we were crazy, that getting married after four months was too fast. I don’t care. I love her more than anything.
And then my band gets the call that changes everything…
My dreams are all coming true, but what will the sudden rush of rock and roll success do to our new marriage? Can I really keep the love of my life and manage a new life on the road with my band’s rise to fame?
One thing’s for sure; I’m not doing this without her.
I didn't read the first edition of this book. So I was excited to get an ARC copy of this book. I really loved Jack and Mayzie's story. These two have an instant attraction and it's so cute and sweet to see how it develops over such a short period of time.
Jack is that guy who knows what he wants and he goes after it. He makes a couple of mistakes along the way, but who doesn't?!?!?!? Mayzie is that sweet, down-to-earth girl that you just want to get to know and be friends with.
There really wasn't a lot of angst which was also nice. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
This book has been on my TBR for a while and I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to read it. I love rockstar romances, but this book is not your typical rockstar romance. Jack and Mayzie are everything, they have off the charts chemistry, but they also have a strong bond forged through friendship. They are newly married when Jack’s band “Turn it Up” start to get increased recognition and popularity. This puts their relationship to the test with touring, time apart, crazy schedules, and groupies. The reader gets a front row seat as they work through the up and downs coming out stronger at the end. Jack and Mayzie are probably one of my favorite couples ever. I was so caught up in them, I could not put this book down until I was done. I sighed, I swooned, and I fanned myself. Ooh la la… This is a must for any TBR and I’m off to start book 2 in the series.
The book wasn’t bad it’s a cute easy read however, I was never fully sucked into the storyline. I actually spent the first half a little annoyed because the prologue has Jack asking his friend why his wife left the tour so when chapter one starts with them meeting it felt a little slow since you already knew they ended up married but maybe that’s just me. I think I would have enjoyed it better if I skipped the prologue.
This book! It was absolutely amazing!!! I fell hard for Jack’s amazing heart! His love for Mayzie is beautiful captivating and heartfelt! She is his muse, his inspiration! Their love story is absolutely beautiful! This is the first book of Natalie’s I have read, but it will definitely it be my last! Her writing is entertaining, flows perfectly and grabs your attention! I can’t wait to read other books she has written!!!
This story was a bit different from what I’m used to, and Jack is definitely a keeper.
I love that Mayzie didn’t gave up on her dreams to follow Jack but rather they manage to find a rhythm that work for them.
And I definitely want to learn more about Josh. Matt was the first character that I felt for by this author and I just love seeing his character again. And can’t wait for Chris’s story too because there’s a scene I’m 🅓🅨🅘🅝🅖 to read since reading Where You Are!
I received an ARC of this story and this is my voluntary review.
A gorgeous wholesome story. Very detailed and made me feel like i was right there with them. I loved Jack and Mayzie's story, it was nice to read about Mayzie's character development and how Meeting Jack had an effect on that. I don't normally read rockstar tropes but i really enjoyed this and will happily read the rest of the series.
Writing is a bit basic but the story is great overall. It follows the rise of a newly married musician in a rock band as the couple work through the challenges that rising fame incompasses.
Instantly, i am falling head over heels in love yet again with Jack & Mayzie!! My heart is swooning and the flow of their journey is effortless.
I ADORE the Turn It Up world and being back in their world 🌎 is addicting, mesmerising and beautiful.
𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗞 𝗚𝗢𝗗. 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘. 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣. 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡. 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗥𝗘.
Hold up! I am in 𝙎𝙒𝙊𝙊𝙉𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙏𝙃𝙔 territory.. allow me to pick my jaw up off the floor. Jack and Mayzie are friggin couple goals that it actually hurts and melts my freaking heart.
I 𝙇𝙊𝙑𝙀 there relationship and the kind hearted friendship it started out as. There growth as a couple is mesmerising and enchanting. Urgh my heart actually stopped when he lied about his gigs... the hurt laced in those words. But.....
Jack is a rock god with a gentleman personality but holy god he is everything & more. I 𝘼𝘿𝙊𝙍𝙀 that his character is reserved, passionate, gorgous. But boy oh boy he can throw down 😜
Mayzie is like no other character i have read. Her growth brings you to tears and i am unbelievably proud of her plus her banter and humour is my cup of tea.
This is giving me all the feels! I have never felt so friggin complete and in 𝙇𝙊𝙑𝙀.
Is there anything more romantic than a man writing a song for you? I think not!!
Mayzie is in a coffee shop talking to her friend on the phone about how abysmal the dating world is when in walks Jack and mayzie is instantly drawn to him and it turns out Jack is just as enamoured eith Mayzie
Jack is an aspiring rockstar who has had writers block for months, but all that seems to change the moment he meets Mayzie And so begins a whirlwind romance where they both fall and fall hard, and just as Mayzie and Jack start to settle into their happily ever after Jacks band, Turn it up hit the big time and so they must then navigate a new marriage with the added pressures of being on tour and all the challenges that come along with it.
I loved Jack and Mayzie. Jack is a romantic sweet talking rock star, and im here for it all.
Natalie Parker outdid herself! I didn’t think I could love this story anymore, then bam, she puts a new hot as all heck cover on this book, adds some more amazing scenes and I’m head over heels in love again.
💙Rockstar Romance 🎸Insta Love 💙He’s All About Her 😍 🎸Slow Burn
"Before I met you, I was asleep. When you smiled at me, it was like I was coming back to life.” 😍⭐️🔥
Nothing like a great story where two characters instantly fall, but also take their time getting to know one another. That is so Jack and Mayzie. I love their will they/won’t they back and forth. Then all the sudden, bam, love, fireworks, the whole nine yards!!! Their relationship is beautiful and complicated. Mayzie doesn’t want to be in the way, however, she’s Jack’s muse and he is a better musician, heck a better person when she is around.
The push and the pull of these two had me on the edge of my seat. I love them. I love them as individuals but together they are everything. This book will have you swooning and will give you major heart eyes the entire time you read it. A must beautiful devour of a book! Chef’s kiss to Natalie for reworking this and having me fall all over again.
I knew she was a rare soul that my life could no longer be without. I knew the first time I made love with her, like I hadn’t with anyone else ever before, that we belonged to each other, that there could be nobody else for me ever again.
4.5 stars for Jack and Mayzie.
Those who know me, know I'm a sucker for any book with a musician and this book was no exception. Natalie gave me exactly what I was looking for, it has a fresh new concept on your typical rockstar trope. It's got that slow-burning, deep connection that I crave, and Jack is Goals. There was a moment there where I thought he was going to fuck everything up upon his rise to fame, but I was so, so glad my intuition was wrong. I adored these two and their lovable fur babies. Can't wait to get my hands on book two.
This is the updated version of Natalie Parker’s first book. While reading this one, I regret not having read the original before. I was obsessed with this book, and I made me want for more. So, I will definitely pick up the rest of the series! I love the chemistry between Jack and Mayzie, but also the struggles they have to face alone and together. When Jack and Mayzie meet, there is an immediate attraction between them. Mayzie, a shy girl, has the courage to step up to Jack, but when she’s standing before him, she just asks of she can have some sugar for her coffee… I loved that. But that is the beginning of a love-at-first-sight romance. Jack and his friends try to make something from their music, and when that time finally comes, Jack needs to juggle between his new relationship and his new career. Both of them grow so hard, as a person, but also as a couple.
I read the og see her last fall and I immediately became obsessed with Jack and Mayzie and the world of Turn It Up.
When the author announced that she was doing a rewrite, I jumped at the chance to read it!
I wasn't sure what to expect with the 2nd edition, but NP did not disappoint in any way!
Jack and Mayzie's story is much the same as the original story. Their passion and love for one another still shines through in every page. She added a new prologue, tightened up the story and basic writing a bit, and changed one of the pivotal scenes. All these things made See Her 2nd Edition far surpass the og story! I'm immediately going to jump back into their world and reread the second book!
A wonderful story full of romance & passion. Absolutely love Jack + Mayzie = HEA
I would have rated a 4.5 however even in this second edition there are some pretty bad editing errors such as duplicate paragraphs & proofreading marks in the story. I suggest another couple read throughs to fix them and maybe see if any of the excess description or adjectives can be removed for a smoother story.
Also we are introduced to Mayzie’s brother, Ian, and I can’t help but wonder if we will ever get his story or was his partial story introduced only to showcase different aspects of relationships.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book. This is the first book I’ve read of Natalie and I wasn’t disappointed one bit. I loved the whole vibe and feel of the story of Jack and Mayzie. The fall hard and fast type Romance here was done very well. You could believe that these two were meant for each other right from the moment they locked eyes. Jack is the sexy rockstar wanting to break it in the industry. Looks like the sexy bad boy but truly is a softy and beautiful soul. Mayzie is one lucky girl. I’m now gonna be reading their duet book next
Mayzie and Jack met at a coffee shop and its instant attraction. I love how the author made you feel the butterflies in the way she wrote this book, (i hope that makes since lol) I adored this couple so much. Of course no one is perfect and they have there ups and downs, just as any couple would. I instantly fell for Jack just for the bad boy looks, covered in tattoos and a musician, whats not to love!
I did really enjoy this book however I’m only giving it 3 stars because I really struggled to get into it in the first 30%-50% but I stuck with it and the last half was soo good and I can’t wait to read the next one
It started out kinda slow to me but it does pick up and become a really sweet love story. There isn’t much tension in the story but sometimes that’s the kind of story people want to read. I loved it and will be reading the rest of the series.
This is amazing read of Jack & Mayzie that are learning how to navigate is fresh marriage. The chemistry. Between these two is off the charts. This is a very amazing read that I loved as this is a first read for this author.
This is the start of a series, so be prepared there is a little bit of a cliffhanger at the end and set up for next book. This is a great read and I can't wait to read more. Mayzie and Jack’s meet cute is like magic. They feel a connection right away but have each been hurt before. Jack is in a small band that gets picked up by a label. He is an aspiring musician who has had writers block. Mayzie changes all that for him. He's written his songs based on his love for his girlfriend. Jack is book boyfriend material. The way Jack adores her and feels adrift without her, is how every man should feel about his person. It touches that soft side that every woman looks for. The bad boy rock star has that one and only love and is his prize possession besides his music. His woman, his music, his life.
They have an amazing connection with spice. Their story was really good and they were able to work their issues out together. All the bumps along the way they deal with pretty well. Learning communication and compromise together only makes them stronger. I love this take on rockstar romance. So often the star is already a star when they meet their love interest. Mayzie and Jack learn to navigate the music business. They get to ride the rocket of stardom together.
This was so cute. It was angsty. The chemistry was great and it was well written. A sweet rockstar romance to put stars in your eyes and help you read even more. Also very realistic feeling. Mayzie and Jack gave all the feels. They had passion for each other but never wanted their individual passions to overshadow what they had together. They each eventually were able to find a nice balance for their life. I am looking forward to reading more of their life together!!
Mayzie Walker is a young copywriter. Her best friend, Annie, makes one request. Try to talk to one guy. While at a coffee shop, Mayzie meets Jack Kransinski and decides to take Annie’s advice. Jack is a bartender that writes song and is in a band. Jack knew as soon as he heard Mayzie laugh that he had to get to know her. The more he got to know about her, the more he knew he would not be able to live without her. Can he let her into all parts of his life?
This young couple has a whirlwind relationship and get married quickly. Not only are they dealing with being newlyweds, Jake’s band, Turn It Up, is getting noticed. Jake’s interactions with Mayzie has led him to write several songs about her. One song, See Her, makes the record label take notice and decide to give the band a chance. Can a new couple weather this storm of becoming famous? Not only is the couple fighting the media, tabloids and fans, they also have to deal with band members not understanding Mayzie being around.
I loved this couple’s story. Though they are both pretty young, they were very mature. Jake knew that he wanted Mayzie with him and both try to make the best of being on tour. Thankfully, their friends and families are there for them despite not really understanding why they married so quickly. I can’t wait to see what Book 2 will be about.
Hold up! I am in 𝙎𝙒𝙊𝙊𝙉𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙏𝙃𝙔 territory.. allow me to pick my jaw up off the floor. Jack and Mayzie are couple goals that it actually hurts and melts my heart.
I 𝙇𝙊𝙑𝙀 there relationship and the kind hearted friendship it started out as. There growth as a couple is mesmerising and enchanting. Urgh my heart actually stopped when he lied about his gigs... the hurt laced in those words. But.....

Mayzie is like no other character i have read. Her growth brings you to tears and i am unbelievably proud of her plus her banter and humour is my cup of tea.
I love reading rock romances and Natalie delivers an incredible one with See Her. It is a sweet, amazing romance story that you can't put down.
Mayzie is just a regular girl going through life but stays to herself. Not big on going out to meet people especially guys. Her friend tells her she needs to get out and do something different. She does go out and that one night out changes her life forever.
Jack is a guitarist and singer for the local pub style band Turn it Up. He is also the bartender at the local bar. One day out for coffee, to get inspired to write songs, changes his life as well.
Natalie has your heart feeling all warm and fuzzy while you get so invested in the relationship building between Mayzie & Jack. The character development of both of them is amazing. You see how they are developing as individuals but also in their relationship. Natalie has a way with words that hooks you right from the start. You will fall in love with Mayzie & Jack, but also with Natalie's writing.
I’ve never read anything written by Natalie Parker and I’m so happy I got the chance to. I don’t normally read rockstar romances but ‘See Her’ is definitely worth it. Both Mayzie and Jack are great characters on their own but when they are together they are absolute couple goals. The plot line was absolute gold. When I began reading this novel I thought it would play out differently but I’m happy it didn’t. Parker exceeded my expectations. Jack and Mayzie had quite a whirlwind romance and I loved reading every second of it. I’ll definitely be looking into the rest of this series I need to know what happens next! I *highly* recommend reading this novel even if it isn’t what you typically go for.
I have been reading a lot of enemies to lovers lately. So, do you want to know what it felt like to meet Jack? It felt like opening your window on a summer night and breathing in...
🎸 Jack was ADORABLE! He was such a gentleman, total babe with a rockstar persona. I fell in love with him completely. Ugh my heart 💜
🌺 Mayzie was shy and sweet! She definitely had some spunk in her too! And the two of them together is perfectly sweet.
They will both have to endure some rough patches through out this book but it’s all part of the job description. This is the first of the series and overall a super cute and fun read! But don’t forget about some steamy scenes too 🔥 😊
Love is work. Marriage is work. This book shows the beauty in that work. Mayzie and Jack feel totally real. I feel like I was a part of their story, and now they are old friends of mine.
As a Rockstar Romance, this could have easily given in to the glitz and glamour of that world, but it didn't. The reality of loving a rockstar is just that, reality.
While we definitely get a HFN that feels a whole lot like a HEA, I am excited to see where life takes this band!
Thoughtful look at love in the infancy of fame. Jack is the exception to the Sex Drugs Rock & Roll mantra, especially just starting out. Ten years it’s taken his band to be noticed at the same time he’s found love. Mayzie takes most of it in stride and while pretty level headed did have one meltdown but she learned to trust. They fight for their love right from the start which makes this not your typical story.
