Willow hated the holidays. Nothing good ever happened to her during the holidays and she was not going to stick around the small town of Grady, Illinois while the whole town looked like it was Santa’s second home. All the lights, decorations and good cheer thrown her way only reminded her of what she’d lost. But could she make it out in time?
Sheriff Max Tucker was a man with a past who had lost everything that ever mattered to him. But he built a new life and a new pack in Grady. Now, he’s set his sights on Willow McAfferty, his best friend’s little sister. She should be off-limits, but neither he nor his wolf can stay away. Now, it's the holidays and there’s only one person he wants to share it with.
Will the ghosts of Christmas past threaten their happiness or will they finally find the love they’d been searching for?

this book was an ok read but I had some problems with it.
at the start willow was determined to leave and to hate the Christmas, by the end she had done a full 180 degree spin and was like another person. She was going on a holiday she was leaving why did Max have to pick that moment to need her help and stop her going on a no refund holiday that she had planned paid for and was looking forward to, why not any time before then or wait till she got back from her holiday.
The ex turning up was a weird choice why did he think she would take him back? and why was she so sure she was divorced wouldn't she wait to get it in writing before believing it? It was annoying that Max just jumped to a conclusion from the word of a stranger without talking to her before storming off in a huff.
this book just didn't quiet work for me maybe it was too many idea in such a short story.
It is a cute story. Max has loved Willow since she was 18. Now she is back in town and hates Christmas. She plans to ho on vacation in the Bahamas so she doesn't have to deal with it. But Max has other ideas. The main problem with this story us that there are so many wrong words, incomplete sentences and typos that it takes away from the story. Editing would make such a difference and it would then a wonderful story.
The overall story is engaging. We don’t get the full story of why she hates Christmas until toward the end. However, I had to knock it down a bit for editing errors. Percentage wise, it was more than I could ignore, since most of them should have been caught by a good word processing program.
This is a quickie and a very dissatisfying read because of that. Everything happens at the speed of light. I did not like Max: he seemed not to respect Willow's wishes, he jumped to conclusions, he didn't at all act like a protective and loving mate. If this was a sample of the author's writing, I won't be checking out other books by this author.
