I'm Author C. Monet of Clarksville TN. I write transparent creative romance with a splash of urban. My stories feature, smart, witty boss women and swoon-worthy, loving, flawed men all looking for one thing..... LOVE. Yes, you guessed it I write about love. My novels usually center around instalove, opposites attract, and redemptive love. However, I've been known to come up with love that cant be placed in a box. All in all, love is the motive no matter how it's reached. My books will leave you full; full of love, gems, and pieces of me.
Once life started to happen for and around me I grabbed the pen and decided to unmute my truth. I pen love unfiltered and undefined because rules can’t exist with creativity. The poetry in my words takes you to a place filled with dreams and aspirations of love and how it heals the soul.
This was short, sweet and a little spicy and I loved every minute of it. I loved how Tobin broke the ever so serious Sinclair down. And the way they made Christmas happen gave me the feels. Def recommend!
I super enjoyed this story. Tobin was out here slinging đìćk. If "Neighbors know my name" by Trey Songz was a person. Then there's sweet, uptight Sinclair. Tobin was taken by her the moment they met, but she wasn't haven't it. She refused to be another notch in his belt, no matter how attracted she was to him. Tobin was used to girls falling at his feet...then came Sinclair. This was short, sweet and Christmassy.
I didn't want it to end. From the time I picked up I didn't put it down until it was over. Tobin and Sinclair were good for each other. She made him want to settle down and he encouraged her to live a little. They balanced each other out. There was laughter, heartfelt moments and sex. A recipe for a good book. Guarantee to keep you entertained.
Any man that can admit his faults and make the necessary steps towards change is a man worth having in my book. I love how Tobin wanted better, and was willing to be more for Sin than she thought she didn't want. I was always told if you want the relationship to work out, the man has to like the woman more than she likes him. The way he went out of his way to show he cared for her; the date night, the ride to airport (well almost), and the creating of a new Christmas tradition. My favorite part of the book was their time spent inside, watching movies, decorating with what they had, and just enjoying the moment. Sin couldn't go home for Christmas so he brought Christmas to her. So sweet. And I'm glad Tara pushed Sin to live a little and take a chance. Hell, even grandma knew best! I loved it. Another five star read for my library!
I wanted to round up but it in my opinion, the story fell right under a 4. Now, I am not the grammar/punctuation police but there is definitely an opportunity for better editing which would help the overall flow of the story. I also don’t take issue with profanity but there was at times something crass about how it was used. My biggest issue was how instant Tobin and Sinclair developed feelings.
I think the author may have painted herself in a corner. The Sinclair we were introduced to was rigid, cautious, goal oriented, straight laced and prudish so it’s difficult to believe that she would be swayed over the course of 72 hours. Tobin, the no-strings attached troubled singer suddenly wants to put someone on lock 🤔
It was a cute story with some technical difficulties. I loved the wisdom of Tobin’s grandmother and what she added to the story.
I know it was just a novella however, it left me wanting so much more. There is so much chemistry between Sinclair and Toby. It amazes me how C. Monet gets it right every time. So many other authors struggle to bring that chemistry too life on the written page. However, C. Monet is a master of it. The attraction between the two characters was evident and profound. I would love to read an entire story about these two and love that they have found. I just feel like it’s not over between them, it is so much more to their story that needs to be told. This is a couple that leaves you rooting for them and wanting to share in their love story.
Really good story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Sinclair was stuck in her ways but there was no denying the attraction she felt for Mr Tobin Looney. Their one encounter was playing tug of war on her heart. I love how Tobin accepted his faults and wanted to better himself. It takes a real man to take ownership of that. He knew it was a challenge getting Sinclair to open up but he went for it anyway and it turned out to be the best decision he made. That ending proved just how much the chemistry between Tobin and Sinclair was undeniable with a possible future. Would love to read more about these. Great Christmas story.
Well this book started off with a bang! Literally. LOL!😂 I so enjoyed the way Sinclair read Tobin that very first time. But then we got that towel drop!😍 That sexy Tobin had Sinclair off kilter and it was really just what she needed. Big Sis was right, Sinclair was in a rut, scared to really live. Tobin shook Sinclair up, and Sinclair challenged Tobin to want more. Clearly the stars were aligned for them to spend Christmas together and what a night it was! This was a fun, sexy story that I enjoyed from start to finish. Definitely 5 🌟 Stars!
This is my first time reading this author. I wasn’t sure I’d like the story. Sinclair was irritating at first. I need this to be full length and fewer misspellings.
That being said, once it got started, I was invested in the characters. I need more if granny, Tobin, and Sinclair. I need to know how their relationship develops and how Tobin’s recovery is affected by his success. What happens to their relationship? How does her family respond? What if the condom breaks?
Tobin and Sinclair are neighbors who aren’t so neighborly. Sinclair is a sarcastic, solemn, feisty, young woman who keeps her eyes on work and nothing else. Her not so nice run in with her neighbor Tobin has her rethinking her current course in life. This is a funny, heartfelt, sexy, and freaky Holiday read that is sure to jingle some bells this season! I loved this story and it’s characters.
I absolutely love this book it kept me smiling, laughing all through the book. Sinclair was something else she gave Tobin such a hard time 😂. I love the back and forth between the two of them Sinclair was so funny. Tobin was determined to get at Sinclair and although he had some issues he was a great guy at heart. Once again another wonderful book by C. Monet.
Homebody, Sinclair usually spends not so silent nights frustrated by the sounds coming from her rising-star singer, neighbor Torbin Looney's apartment. She vows to report him for the noise; that is until she decides to approach him and he gives her something to think about. Nevertheless, a Christmas Eve gone wrong results in them spending a not so silent night together.
Great read. It was a short one and I felt like I wanted a little more. I would love to see what happened when Sinclair and her sister went home to their parents. I would also love to see a little more blooming of Sinclair and Tobin's relationship. Tobin and Sinclair is going to complement each other, she is going to help him overcome his battling issues. He is going to help her "live" her life.
I would recommend this novella. It will get you in the mood to read other holiday reads.
C. Monet! I'm pregnant and you's the pappy! All I know is when I read about the first orgasm I was a lost cause. I probably got them three babies in me like Tobin's grandma said lol. Heck nawl , this was a not so silent night because I had to break myself off after this read. 😣
Sinclair knew what she wanted in life and it wasnt a man right now. Tobin was an up and coming star and a ladies man who knew what he wanted and after meeting Sinclair he wanted her. Sinclair didnt want to give Tobin a chance but he didnt give up. This was a cute story showing that when you want something out of life, you dont gove up to you get it!!!. I loved it!!!
Please tell me it's more to come! I loved this story of Sinclair and Tobin. They chemistry was so lit but their beginning was frightening. I'm so glad her flight was cancelled. Their fate was undeniable. Wow! The life lessons MS. Bradford shared with the both of them was just freaking awesome and on point.
The first of many Christmas novella readings by the Christmas tree. This one was sweet and sassy. Sinclair was set in her mundane lifestyle and feisty with her play boy neighbor Tobin. I liked the way it seemed that Tobin wanted her more. I’d love to read more about Sinclair, Tobin, and her sister!
I absolutely loved this story. I liked the fact that Sinclair was able to let go and let Tobin and that he didn’t give up on trying to get her. The story was great no grammar errors and I love to read books by this C. Monet I think I have almost every book she has on kindle.
No ma’am...that was too damn short. Although it said novella, you have to circle back and finish this. It was a cute read. Sinclair was gone die an old backed up woman. But now she’s ready to live life on the edge. Tobin was a hurt gentleman. Glad they had a good Christmas.
I'd give it five stars but I wanted to know what happened with them. This is an awesome short story. There's great character development in such a short time and it definitely leaves you wanting to know what's next. Maybe we'll get to see them in another book. Overall great read and I'll definitely read more from this author.
This is a story about longing, regret and goals. Both of the main character, Sinclair and Tobin, have legit reasons for why they behave like they are within the context of their “relationship”, and it’s always a nice thing to read grown folks acting their age! Although this was my first book by this author, it definitely will not be my last.
Sinclair had her reasons for how she felt about Tobin. But I'm glad Tobin didn't take no for an answer. Also, Tobin was such the sweetheart for driving out in the snow after busting his ish lol. I don't think these two will have a second act but I really enjoyed them and if they did have a second act I would buy it.
What’s not to like? This was a good read by an EXCELLENT author. She definitely knows her way around this particular genre and how to mix romance and sex till they reach the boiling point. And like romance & good sex she leaves you wanting more. I look forward to reading more of her work. And if you haven’t read anything by her yet why not?
This read was so hot!! When I saw the word ‘fin’ I literally cursed. Despite his flaws, Tobin was the man for Sinclair. And despite her ‘ms. Perfect’ attitude, she knew deep down that he was what she needed. This novella was well written and I enjoyed every word.
This was short and sweet. A perfect quick read for a lazy afternoon. I loved the hero and heroin. Would love to see a full story, but I am more than satisfied with this novella.
Sinclair was an over thinker and it almost caused her to miss out.Tobin he threw cautioned to the wind and went for what he wanted. Definitely enjoyed the back and forth between them...
I don’t even celebrate christmas but if I had Tobin for a neighbor I might dress up as Mrs Claus. Woo wee chile! That was short but hot! Sinclair had a great gift after all! C Monet I like your style, always a great story.
