Dark and Delicious
What a delight to have the entire first series in this one volume. Talk about dark and delicious. If you like it steamy, this collection's for you. Plenty of secrets and suspense. Throw in the mafia, a murder, and some fast-action. Master Daniels and Nicole will take you on one wild ride. The book was well-written and kept me page-turning. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

I received a free copy of this box set. I originally read the first book and somehow lost the following books. It was pleased to be offered the opportunity to read the enter first season in this set. The story is truly dark and erotic, both of which I enjoy. The power exchange is suck a crucial element and evolves quickly in this series. I am looking forward to reading the next season. My reason for the four star rating is that there are places through out the series that seem to be disconnected or not woven into the story line in a logical and understandable order. It feels jumpy when reading it so I went back in several places and still couldn't get the whole idea. My hope is that those holes will get plugged when the series continues to evolve

This was a bit out of my normal reading since I do not enjoy a high dose of BDSM in everyday lifestyle. I found Nicole was just too eager to please Master Daniels even when their role play became sadistic and degrading. Sometimes, Nicole's language too was demeaning which suggested a lack of self respect. Master Daniels, a billionaire, masochistic, domineering CEO used sex as a weapon. We cannot help, at some points to gravitate towards his sexual charms and successful business acumen, but then at others, to be disgusted by his cold, calculating games that had women under his spell. The atmosphere changed in book 4, much to my relief as Mr. Daniels began to care for Nicole, being more of a boyfriend as opposed to her dominant partner. The relationship became more acceptable in a much more normal way. This gave me an optimistic sense that AC Labouche and Rodd Sterling might veer towards something that readers will feel comfortable to read.

Book series 1 - 5 of Master Daniels is a fast read. Each book is a cliffhanger with the series also ending of a cliffhanger.
I am not sure what to think about this series. I wanted to like the characters but just didn't. Nicole is whiny and just accepts being bound and kidnapped. While Master Daniels shows us glimpses of a tender side with Nicole, his emotions swing too fast.
I found the story a little disjointed, having to reread some sections because of a jump in the story. It has an interesting premise but I found myself lost as to what the purpose of the Consortium of which Mr. Daniels is the head. I kind of feel like this was a draft rather than a final copy. I realize this is a series but I am left dissatisfied with more questions than answers.

This was a very confusing story. It skipped around so much it felt like whiplash and didn't make any sense most of the time. I had a hard time following along. There were so many holes in the story, it read like it was a first draft rather than a final copy. Nicole's attitude was all over the place and very whiny.

Oh My Goodness. I have loved reading these amazing books. You feel so invested in the characters and story when you read them. These books were gripping, well written and the chemistry between the characters was just awesome!!

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through bookfunnel arc.
Book 1
Nicole keeps paying for her boyfriend James problems. Nicole gets a call saying that her student loan had missed a payment. Nicole gets note from one of her customers to pick up Taramisu. She comes back and all hell breaks at the restaurant. Nicole kept trying to reach James but has not heard from him. Mr.Daniels shows up at Nicole’s house and tells her he was closing down the restaurant where she use to work but, he offered her a proposal.
Book 2
Nicole was in back of the taxi thinking that they were picking up Mr.Daniels but, the driver told her Mr.Daniels was already at the destination. Nicole wanted to know who the women was who opened the door. Nicole is now staying with Mr.Daniels for the weekend. She enjoyed the new things she found out about herself. Mr. Daniels asked Nicole to move in with him she didn’t know how she would tell James. One of the girls in the office approached her and told her she could be replaced.
Book 3
Something happened and they suspected Nicole of betraying their consortium and wanted her dead. Mr. Daniels was having a hard time thinking about killing her. Did she work with someone who would threaten the consortium and he wanted to know if she knew anything.. plus with all the women in the office the jealousy was palpable.
Book 4
The men in the consortium wanted her dead and when convened at Mr.Daniel’s house they were in for a big surprise and not one they expected.
Book 5
As Mr.Daniel came out of the meeting Janet came up to him and kissed him as he was trying to get away from her. When he looked up he saw Nicole standing there seeing what was going on she took off and shut herself in her room. He decided to put an end to Janet and her
nonsense but Janet told him that will not happen. Nicole was kidnapped and when she saw it was Janet. This book ends in a cliffhanger

This is Master Daniels: All the Books from Season One in a single volume (The Chosen Submissive Book 6) by A.C. Labouche. It is a fast paced story that is mysterious, dark, steamy, suspenseful read that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, turning the pages with you holding your breath as the story unfolds. This book was very hard to put down. This book is about Master Daniels and Nicole. Master Daniels is an alpha male who is used to getting his way. Nicole is a waitress who loses her job when she sees something she should not have seen. (Review updated on 24 Sep 20).

I received this thru a bookfunnel giveaway...books 1 thru 5. The story has the potential to be a good dark romance. The flow of the story was off for me. I found it jumped around to much and did not build the story smoothly. Nicole is a waitress but is sent by a customer to another restaurant to get dessert, odd. She is grabbed by some bad guys, locked up but becomes a secretary?
