A Juz A Day Summary of the Quran

Rate this book
The Qur’an refers to a wealth of human experience, seeking to enrich our lives on earth before our eventual return to our Maker, the Most High.

Although it is impossible to articulate a translation that establishes clearing the majestic nature of the Qur’an in any language of the world, nevertheless, Muslims need to become more familiar with the overall coherence of its message in their native language.

The aim of this work before you is to highlight key themes and messages of the Qur’an that will be recited throughout our lives so those who are not able to understand the Arabic reading can feel a connection with what will they hear and recite by reading this summation.

This one is 5🌟 read for me. I love the compactness of this book. Though it is a summary for each Juz, gosh this is more than enough for me.
The summary emphasize on the important points which I find very helpful for me.

A clear and concise book with a simple objective: giving a succinct and simplified context to each of the juz in the Qur'an for those of us who want to immerse ourselves in the understanding of this holy book but yet aren't fortunate enough to understand the Qur'anic Arabic language.

For those who are looking for a longer explanation and a more in-depth look of each juz or surah, it's recommended to look for a reputable tafsir, as I believe this book is meant to be complementary to that form of translation. As it is, this book is highly recommended for those who are looking for supplementary information as to the meaning behind the thirty juz of the Qur'an.

I recently had the pleasure of reading "A Juz A Day" by Yahya Ibrahim, and I must say it has been a truly enlightening experience. This book takes you on a captivating journey through the Quran, breaking it down into manageable portions, or "juz."

One of the things I appreciated most about this book is its simplicity. Yahya Ibrahim has a way of explaining complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. The language used is clear, making it accessible to readers of all levels. Whether you are new to the Quran or have been studying it for years, "A Juz A Day" provides valuable insights that everyone can benefit from.

The organization of the book is commendable. Each chapter focuses on a specific juz, allowing readers to pace themselves and absorb the teachings at their own speed. This approach is particularly helpful for those who may find it challenging to dedicate large chunks of time to Quranic study.

Moreover, Yahya Ibrahim brings the verses to life by providing context and practical applications. The book doesn't just stop at translation but delves into the meanings and implications of the verses. This adds a layer of depth that enhances the overall learning experience.

As a reader, I found "A Juz A Day" to be a valuable companion in my Quranic journey. It's not just a book to read but a guide to understanding and reflecting on the profound wisdom within the Quran. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a straightforward and insightful approach to studying the Quran, whether you are a beginner or someone looking to deepen your understanding.

An emotional read.

Being a Muslim with non Arabic background and the surrounding that taught me to have a fearful image of God,
Yet little effort did I make to understand the words of God,
And always found myself lost while reading the translations.

But this book gave me a general overview about what Allah wants us to know and do in our life. And made me want to learn more about the words of God.
Quran is indeed a guide for us on how to live and survive this worldly life.

And it is not sufficient for them that We revealed to you the Book which is recited to them? Indeed in that is a mercy and reminder for people who believe (Quran 29:51)

I have been meaning to read this for the longest time because Yahya Ibrahim is my go-to tafseer scholar. Glad that I finally got to in this time of great adversity and with #QuranBookClub now trending on TikTok. This book provides simplified interpretation and explanation for each of the 30 juzs (parts) of the Quran and while it does not provide a detailed commentary of each chapter, I feel that it does a pretty good job in providing accessibility to those who are in the midst of establishing a consistent, deeper connection with the Holy Scripture.

I would highly recommend anyone who is just starting to learn or wanting to gain deeper knowledge on Islam to read this short, small and concise book. This book gives you an overview of what the Quran is about and its messages. If you can understand the key theme of the quran, you would be able to dig deeper on Islam with less prejudice whenever you read more complex book.

A simple, straightforward, compact and yet comprehensive. Covered all 30 juz of the Quran.

I wish there was more elaboration of each juz and breakdowns of each juzuk. It felt too quick to complete it.

Too much text in the book, would have been better if the format were similar to Shaykh Asim Khan's book on Surah Mulk etc

Definitely the best book I've read so far. Easy to understand. Would work best with tafsir and sirah nabi book hand in hand.

Great summary for a daily read leading to a month long recap. He does well in pulling key points and discussing them. It feels like the book is a transcript, so the verbiage is often like spoken word
