Hobson Hills Omegas #7

The Alpha's Christmas Wish

Rate this book
Story takes place in the Omegaverse. Hobson Hills Omegas: Book Seven

Juan Vega lives in a town full of loving families and happy couples. As he watches his best friends fall in love, he can't help but wish for his own omega. He's been in love with Jackson since he met him, but it doesn't look like there will ever be a future for them. When Bennett Wilson urges Juan to make a Christmas wish, everything changes.

Jackson Potts may be young, but he has plenty of experience with overbearing, abusive alphas. After watching the way his own biological alpha grandfather and father treated their omegas, Jackson swears he will never date an alpha. He knows there are good alphas out there, but he can't bring himself to trust his own heart to any, even his own friend. The problem is, a certain alpha is very hard to resist.

With a little holiday luck, these two men may just find happiness.

Author's Note: Around 40,000 words. This is a m/m, non-shifter, mpreg love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There are a few potty mouths, so beware. 18+ readers only, please. It is the seventh book in the series and should be read after the book 6.5., "Grey's Gift."

I have been self-publishing since October 2018. My books are extremely light and fluffy m/m romance with mpreg, and while they span a few subgenres of romance, they have similar themes of found family and love at first sight. Besides writing, I enjoy reading everything I can get my hands on, especially m/m romance. My personal favorites are mpreg, sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal.

This was book 7 in then "Hobson Hills Omegas " series. Omega Jackson loves his new life he has a job that he loves and his papa is safe and he has good friends. Jackson has has been in love with an Alpha but he is afraid of getting hurt. Alpha Juan loves living in the small town he has watched his friends meet and fall in love and start families. Juan has been in love with his friend Jackson since they rescued him and his family. This was a good read these two begin hooking up but Jackson doesn't want anyone to know he's still afraid that he will get hurt. Things begin to move fast for these two and when Juan's Alpha dad gets sick Jackson is there for him. When his dad dies secrets are revealed. With the help of Jackson and his friends Juan is able to get through it. I love the Wilson family they take you in and love you like family and they show up. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Read this book if you are looking for a feel-good romance that will have you laughing.

This book is hilarious. Two best friends, the first falls in love and marries an older omega while the second falls in love with one of said omega’s sons. Best friend/step-dad is not happy! Lots of laughs in this book.

Jackson (O) grew up watching how his abusive alpha father and grandfather treated his papa and grandpapa. Because of this, he is determined to never trust an alpha, until he falls for his friend. Juan (A) was raised to believe that alphas have to be strict and controlling towards their omegas. He is constantly being told that alphas cannot be friends with omegas by his father. Juan struggles with how he was taught an alpha should behave and with how he wants to be. With help from friends and the Wilson family, these two grow to be what the other needs and to overcome the hurdles thrown their way so they can find their HEA.

This book is rated 4 stars. While many problems arise, solutions are quick and fairly easy. The writing is fast paced and you are moved through the storyline quickly.

Side Note: The side characters you are introduced to in this book have, or may in the future get, a book of their own. Every character is unique and the individual books in this series reflect this.

Personal Note:
Let me start by saying that I don’t think I could pick a favorite scene from this book. There was plenty of humor spread throughout even when the situation was bad. I laughed often from beginning to end.

3,5*

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:
A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series
from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year),
it's like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok)
It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the
whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

Trust Me Omega

Going back to Hobson Hills is always a heart-warming experience. Thank God for the Family Trees! It takes me a little while to remember who everyone is, but by the second or third chapter it's like a family reunion everyone is remembered again. Number Seven is a Christmas story, actually a couple Christmases are experienced. This is Juan's and Jackson's story. It was poignant, humorous, and tense. Each of them had Alpha fathers that made them questioning who they were? It made them doubt positive things they were told over and over by others.

Their past continued to impact their current lives and be a factor impeding their futures. Of course they have interfering family and friends encouraging them and pushing them towards each other, some more subtle than others. I really enjoy the children and pets that are never forgotten and continuously added to. Always welcoming the Hopson Hills population continues to grow.

Just What I Needed

I happened upon C. W. Gray's books by chance. I was looking for more gay protagonists in both space and in fantasy. I started with The Mercenary's Mate, and immediately fell in love. Eventually, I moved on to Hobson Hills, and it was like coming home. Each story is like coming back to dear friends and family. It's like fresh baked cookies, slipping into a warm bath and snuggling with my as yet unfound soulmate all in one. I forget all my troubles and enjoy a wonderful tale of love, family, friendship and joy. You can't go wrong with any of C. W. Gray's books, and this one is no exception. You should probably start at the beginning though. It will make understanding who is who a good deal easier. This was a marvelous read, and I can't wait to read Noah's story next.

World of discovery once self

C.W Gray creates worlds where there different sexual life style and acceptance. With heterosexual to the LGBT COMMUNITY AND A COUPLE THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW DEMISEXUAL AND PANSEXUAL.
What am trying Is that I am a bi racial child that has multi racial children and a bi racial marriage and I can relate to the books but I'm also header of sexual woman with 3 son's. But my favorite romances other than laurell k. Hamilton or Christina feehan on are sherrilyn Kenyon Terri anne browning Susi hawke , Aiden bates , liam kingleys my favorite is/romance A male pregnancy I love the alpha Mega Beta worlds but I also love the message that it sends across the world for tolerance ,acceptance, understanding. FAMILY, STRENGTH, LOVE. I TOOK HARRY POTTER FANFICTION TO LEAD ME TO C.W GRAY AND ALL THE REST OF MALE SLASH WRITERS AND STORIES. SO I SAY THANK YOU.

Just loved this one, super sweet and cute. I've enjoyed this whole series so far and this couple was just adorable. I read this one pretty quickly and I'm pretty use to the insta love happening in these omega storys so really enjoyed that these two were friends first and their feelings developed over time. My only issue was how quickly things happened after they go together and it wasn't very realistic but then again it's an omegaverse story, they aren't meant to be realistic. The story was interesting and draws you in with a few surprises in between that you aren't expecting. Always looking forward to reading more from this author. I just love all her cute and fluffy omegaverse stories.

Beautiful

Jackson and Juan have been friends since their first meeting. Juan has been attracted to Jackson but knew that he needed to be patient while Jackson recovered from his childhood. Jackson has a hard time believing that alphas are good due to how his father and grandfather treated omegas. Then, Juan happened. These two falling in love and actually admitting it is so beautiful that you will find yourself entranced with them.

I loved it!

This was another great addition to the Hobson Hills Omega series. I loved getting to know more about Juan and Jackson. They both had some issues to work through but by communicating with their friends and family they were able to work through them. Now I just have one short story left to read I will have finished this series. I can't re commend this series enough. It is worth reading. I can't wait to read the author's sci-fi series next.

Super cute story between Juan and Jackson. Jackson has a history of bad Alpha's in his family and that makes the Omega nervous about a relationship with any Alpha. Juan is an Alpha but doesn't want to tame Jackson in any way. He loves him just the way he is.

I enjoyed the story, but it includes some things that I didn't think were necessary, like the issue with the party that Valentina went to. We don't get to find out how she handled it.

What's with all these cheaters and these characters raising someone else's kids? Once again, this book/series is too fluffy and cringy for me.

I also don't understand Griff, Luke, and Brittany's relationship. Either there was cheating involved or Brittany showed up afterwards. But Luke and Brittany were acting like they were in such a serious relationship. But then again, Juan and Jackson basically moved in together and became a family after two weeks. Eveything progresses way too quickly.

Perfectly oblivious and yet in sync

So stinking funny these two just can't help but make you laugh and love them. Not only that but I LOVE Jackson's little secret!! The only thing that I'm a little disappointed in is the fact the there are a lot of time lapses. However the story moves along well I just think we could have gotten a little more out of it.

Addictive sweetness

I love everything about all of the series that C W Gray has created, but Hobson Hills was my first. Love all of the characters! Thanks for the addition of the character tree at the beginning-there are a lot to keep track of-and of course, the pets as well.

Love is truly worth it if you just open yourself up for it.

It's hard to get past your fears to let love back in your life. This story showed how worth opening yourself up again can be. Love is worth so much with the right person .

A whole series of books - lots of insta-lust, love and sex with sexy MC's and secondary characters who get their own story next, and so it goes throughout the series. Very entertaining and easy reading. Glad I planned to read them all, they were definitely best read one after the other in order.

While I enjoyed all the books in this series so far this one is my favorite. Jackson and Juan's story is really sweet. It's not as a
zaney and Wild

as the other Books, and there really isn't a whodunit in this story but I Just really enjoyed it.

Jackson has to learn to trust an alpha. But Juan has to learn to trust that he isn't like his father. Together they learn to turn their friendship into more. I love to watch the development of their relationship and how they handled the crazy in their lives. Great audio version as well.

A very sweet story

The story has so many sweet parts to it and so many parts that will bring you to tears as you feel for the characters and what they’re going through but it’s all worth it to see how it works out in the end

Actions speak louder than words, right?

For years Juan and Jackson have been friends. Both are interested in becoming “more.” Enjoy how Juan and Jackson decide to go for “more,” handle life changing events, and welcome children as well as more steamy moments into their life!!!
