The complete Hidden Magic trilogy. Over 100,000 words of action-packed urban fantasy in one handy boxset.

Absolutely loved this trilogy, from start to finish..the main original characters, of Kit and Matt, developing & additional characters coming along.. Can't wait to see what's next in-store for them all & read more by this creative writer.. Though struggling to find more available at the moment on Amazon's UK page?

About 63% finished and I returned it to Kindle Unlimited.
As with almost everything I've read recently, the first novel started off well. There was a fairly jaw dropping "precipitating event," followed by enough narrative to pique my curiosity (yeah - it's "pique," instead of "peek" or "peak," authors/editors/proofreaders!) and, so, I stuck with it - for far too long.
This is, apparently, a British writer, so there are a few turns of phrases that would sound off to American readers ("different to" instead of the Americanized "different from"), and those don't bother me in the least. What DID bother me was the clunky writing style and the sheer number of typos and errors that ultimately distracted me from the telling of this tale.
Add to that the weird and repeated food fetish (descriptions of full meals, sometimes including the manner in which they were cooked), the romance going nowhere, the fact that I had to use MY imagination to fill in all the blanks (author, please, I wanted/needed YOUR imagination!), the fact that I could and DID put these novels down to play games on my smartphone and watch the CNN town halls, and I was done...
(FYI I tend to only review one book per series, unless I want to change my scoring by 0.50 or more of a star. -- I tend not to read reviews until after I read a book, so I go in with an open mind.
First time read the author's work?: No
Will you be reading more?: Yes
Would you recommend?: Yes
------------ How I rate Stars: 5* = I loved (must read all I can find by the author) 4* = I really enjoyed (got to read all the series and try other books by the author). 3* = I enjoyed (I will continue to read the series) or 3* = Good book just not my thing (I realised I don't like the genre or picked up a kids book to review in error.)
All of the above scores means I would recommend them! - 2* = it was okay (I might give the next book in the series a try, to see if that was better IMHO.) 1* = Disliked
Note: adding these basic 'reviews' after finding out that some people see the stars differently than I do - hoping this clarifies how I feel about the book. :-)
Kit is a secret Blood Witch who has always hidden her powers to keep her half-blood brother safe. Ethan is a pack leader who needs a helping hand. These two are instantly drawn to each other. In the first book Kit and Ethan are trying to figure out who is killing high-born fey. In the second book, they are trying to find rogue witches killing fey. In the final book, an old familiar person comes back into Kit's life and the pack must help take him down. Overall this was a solid sci-fi series. The writing was solid and the plot was good. I liked the mysteries. The romance was slow burn, but I liked the last one.
Simply engrossed in these three book, but I have to say the ending left me feeling cheated. It was so rushed there was no real build up,even got almost childish with a lot of errors in the narrative.Overall though I did enjoy them, not too many characters to get confused over but then again not to great a plot.I would recommend that you read this over a weekend, best way as the books are rather short
Tremendous action, good characters, romance and elves! Kit is a wonderful selfless and compassionate take few prisoners kind of hero. I did stumble through grammatical issues which broke up my enjoyment somewhat.
It all felt really superficial to me. Characters lacked depth, and no tension was really created when important things were meant to happen. It was a disappointing read for me.
Almost put this one down several times, but eventually stuck with it. While the MC is a talented fighter/assassin, her constant emotional throes into teenage heart throb desires was very tedious.
